  • "We felt that the restaurant was a bit more reserved with the new owners than it had been in the past. Our waitress was extraordinary, as usual, but my husbands dinner had to be sent back twice. The chef did not come out to see if the problem could be remedied. We will continue to go to Cuvee, but we feel that it just not the same as it used to be. We do hope that the new owners will bring back the feeling of "belonging" when we go to dine. It is not there anymore."

The deconstructed oysters rockafeller were terrific with Kale rather than spinach, the cheese plate was also wonderfully inventive, and they made a manhattan flavored with a house made marinated strawberry concoction that was truly original. We enjoyed every aspect of the meal. They were very good about splitting appetizers, salads, and entrees where that facilitated the dining experience. This restaurant is decorated very well and designed to provide a level of noise reduction not typically found in modern restaurants."

He had us laughing constantly, but his humor was always appropriate. It also always fit in with our lively conversations and never over-powered our discussions. I would definitely plan to come there again. And it certainly would be the place to come to celebrate a special occasion. I personally wouldn't be able to do it too often, as it is a bit pricy, however, you do get quality and it is well worth every penny. Service was exceptional also. "

  • "Who knew there would BR such a gem of a place in Ocala? I found it because I had lots of passenger time on a long road trip. Service was good, and an amazing selection of wine. They offer several portion sizes of wines to taste. Diners get a card thst tracks their purchases and they can go from station to station tasting the options. Good way to drink wine by the glass, or get a few tastes of options before committing to a bottle. Food was surprisingly good. Unexpected for the area!"

  • "Cuvee is an overlooked gem to engage in quality entertaining. By Ocala standards, this place may be considered a bit pricey, but from a progressive city look, it would be the norm. Excellent wine list, fun atmosphere if you like to roam around hunting your favorite Pinot or Merlot, the food is presented professional and you have enough "space" not to feel intimidated by others sitting around you. I invited clients who, like me, had never been there. We were were offered a quiet wine room (which can comfortably accomodate 6) to conduct a Monday 5:30pm dinner/business meeting. This allowed us the privacy in an intimate surrounding. I made a second reservation with another client for Tuesday 6pm. Excellent service. Would go again."

  • "Cuvee is a great place to get good food in a usually quiet atmosphere. Unfortunately, we chose Preakness evening to dine there and the noise level was extreme. The bar area was filled with the local "horse set" complete with feathered hats. I would advise requesting a booth when making reservations (a must here) as the tables are crowded close together and in the isle that the waiters use to serve food. We had their "fish stick" appetizer. If was fried calamari in a really nice breading with a spicy sauce that was made to look like ketchup. The scallop champagne bisque was excellent as was the stilton salad. Both the duck l'orange and the rack of lamb were well prepared. Bananas foster was flamed at the table. Worth the price."

  • "I had young family visiting from out of state and I wanted to take them somewhere only offered in Ocala, that'd be memorable, upscale, clean, and inviting. We had our own space, so we didn't have to keep shushing each other as the drinks brought up our noise level, which was good considering the rest of the restaurant was very quiet. We were somewhat noisy but tucked away enough not to bother anyone. The service, from Dave, was impeccable. I know we were a handful but he seemed to not to notice. The food was good. I tried the bison meatballs, very tasty, also the clams rockefeller delicious, and we also had Banana's Foster and the cheesecake for dessert. We had a lovely, memorable night thanks to the hospitality and quality at Cuveé."

However, it began to be that we were expecting additional mistakes. No matter how well intentioned, at some point, it became kind of ridiculous. Our waiter and busboy were overly attentive, to the point that we began to wish they would go away."

  • "We drive to Ocala from Sarasota 2-3 times a year just so that we can go to Cuvée. It has become one of our favorite destination spots. The vast wine tasting selections are fantastic and the dinners are always excellent. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. This place is a gem off the beaten path in a city where you would not expect to find a restaurant of this caliber. We have so many great restaurants in Sarasota, but have nothing like Cuvée. It is well worth the 100 mile + drive for a special evening out!"
