  • "We felt welcome from the moment we stepped inside. The European ambiance was easy - sophisticated bistro chic without being overdone or pompous. Our waiter, Colin, was delightful and knowledgeable. I had the wedge salad to start - the dressing and accoutrments were delicious, but would have preferred good old fashioned iceberg lettuce. Love, love, loved the eggplant medallions! And the foie gras, while being very, very rich, was devinely prepared. Disappointed only in the desserts. Key lime pie had a little too much lime and not enough creaminess for my taste and the creme brulee was a bit bland. All in all, however, we had a wonderful 3 hour dining experience with excellent service and food, worthy of any fine restaurant."

  • ". Lou Ann Rae, our waitress, was friendly, informative about the food; when I asked about the key lime pie , she personally checked with another staff member regarding the tartness. If you like key lime,I highly recommend it. There were three of us and we split the green fried tomatoes appetizer; all the flavorings worked well together. We all ordered the catch of the day - halibut -served over sautéed spinach. The fish was moist and flavorful and the spinach was sautéed enough to still give a crunch. We shared the roasted Brussels sprouts - wonderful touch to the fish. Another party ordered the banana cream pie. She said it was delicious. . This is an elevated menu and you won't be disappointed. Well worth the price."

  • "We had become ardent fans of Tim's Beach Walk Cafe on our visits to Destin. We learned of his acquisition of Cuvee Bistro and planned our Valentines 2014 visit around an evening there. We were not disappointed. Everything was superlative and what we had come to expect from Mr. Creehan in the past. Valentines and other holidays generally spell disaster for restaurants in terms of food quality and service. We found the level of service this evening to be top drawer and our compliments to all we encountered. We had given up on Destin as a destination for high quality dining with the loss of Criollas, Creehan's Beachwalk and some others we'd come to enjoy. Should we return again Cuvee Bistro will be visited often!"

The only thing I do not like is for this place to be so as pricey as it is, you would think people would attempt to dress appropriately, but then again this is the panhandle (lower Alabama). As always the chef(s) have out-done themselves and I will be going back again."

  • "I had been to Cuvee Bistro last summer so was excited to return for my birthday. The wine list is exceptional, we shared a great Italian Amarone. The Foie Gras, Escargot and Bison Carpaccio appetizers were all delicious as was the Venison Entree. Our waiter was very attentive and service was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone but especially to those individuals from large cities because the food here reminds me of the best Italian and Continental dining establishments in Atlanta, Boston and New York. Three of my favorite cities for fine dining."

There was live music and the bar was loud. That impacted the evening and the nature of our dinner which we had hoped would be romantic."

  • "A very nice surprise as it is right on the Eharald Coast Highway. Two venues here, the bar scene and fine dining..I am not much for the bar scene but it was very active and packed for a Thursday early .I bypassed hat for a quiet table near the fireplace. Mark was our waiter, very nice and attentive. The eggplant and crab starter was terrific .Followed by the Caesar salad. For dinner had the 8 rib rack of lamb for two and it was very good. For desert a brandy Alexander .One should try the Josh "Isosoles" In all a very nice experience in what I thought was a large "strip mall"...ha"

  • "I have friends that love to go there and was looking forward to going all week! I saw the menu online and thought it looked delicious! Making reservations was easy from my cell. Loved the service. The sauce was what made the food perfect. Even though the eggplant and crab appetizer and grouper entree was cooked just right, the sauces made it melt in your mouth! I want to go back until I try everything! I really appreciated the server sharing her favorite martini with me, the espresso martini. It was not on the menu and I am an espresso fan! Even though it is pricey, it was worth it!"

The servers got all of our dishes out of order and the whole experience was generally unexceptable. the only dish which was half way good was the eggplant medallions with crab meat and garlic sauce. The bar was hopping but the restaruant was virtually empty and now we know why."

On the room for improvement side, my linguini with clams was swimming in the olive oil and butter. Hold up a bit on the oil and the salt and I would order the dish again.   • "We went here for my husbands birthday. Beautiful restaurant with friendly, knowledgable staff. All of the food was fresh and delicious - prepared by a celebrity chef. I ordered the seared tuna over spinach with a spicy asian sauce. The tuna literally melted in my mouth. My husband had the Grouper Vince, named after Vince Gill's wedding dish. Also melt in your mouth amazing. The sweet sauce and potato cake really brought it all together. My friends had the caesar salad with eggplant croutons (wow) and the venison and said they were also incredibly tasty. I would highly recommend the dessert sampler as well! If you're looking for a place for a special occasion, this is definitely the place to be. This is NOT the usual tourist trap. Must try"
