Cusp Dining & DrinksGreat addition to La Jolla. The view is amazing and so was the food. A little disappointed waiting for food service. Not busy at all, and kitchen was really SLOW!5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat View, Great foodThe View from the 11th floor of the La Jolla cove is impressive and commanding. We dined at 5:30 PM and had a great view the entire time. It was a Sunday and not very busy. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. The food is very good. It is a great spot for smaller groups, romantic meals, special occasions. We were seated next to a family with 3 young children who were all well behaved. Not recommended for small children who cannot sit still.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was very good. TheThe food was very good. The view was fabulous. It was also our Anniversary and the staff overwhelmed us with such special attention that we immediately put Cusps on our 'must return' list.
We look forward to revisiting again and again.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMBest dining in La Jolla! The service was AMAZING, and we had a lot of fun talking with our server and the bartenders. The view is delightful and the space of the restaurant is unique in a way that's is spacious but cozy, with so much style. Our food and drink were outstanding and my gluten free diet was catered to without question. I can not wait to go back!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat that a new place hasGreat that a new place has come to an old location. Service & foor great4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect in every way. Thank you.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous again!Fabulous again! My new favorite place in San Diego. (I live in Denver) Had the salmon - delicious, and no carbs! Others had the Tomato Braised Eggplant and said it was a wonderful blend of spices, and the Sea Bass was amazing too. We of course had the Toasted Quinoa, X2, but also tried the Pork Belly - I'm not a fan of pork belly, but the sauce was delicious!
Will be back! Going to sit at the chef's counter next time!3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe liked it so much, we came back.We tried it a few nights earlier and were so impressed that we returned. Everything is notable, though the cocktails are extraordinary!
My spouse loves the Gimlet and I really liked the Manhattan.
We started with the crab salad flatbread, which was again wonderful. I tried the pepperoni rolls, which were quite good. My spouse had the baked rigatoni, and I had the paparadelle one more time. Everything was delicious.
The views of sunset over La Jolla are remarkable. We are really glad to have found CUSP!3/27/2013 12:00:00 AM5-star lunch experience!Four of us enjoyed a delightful girlfriend lunch on a Wednesday, celebrating two birthdays. Service was outstanding; the warm and friendly staff made it special without being intrusive. Decor and ambiance were fresh, clean and modern, and of course the views were breath-taking; fun surprises were floor-to-ceiling view windows even in the ladies room, as well as soft sheer curtains along the hallway. Food presentation was photo-worthy, and we were all very pleased with our choices: curried chicken salad sandwich seasoned perfectly, four-cheese flatbread lush with rich delicious melt-y goodness, an irresistibly juicy cheeseburger, and perhaps best of all, mussels in a spicy chorizo-tomato broth! We'll definitely be returning!3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMAll tables have an incredibleAll tables have an incredible view of the ocean and La Jolla from the top floor of the hotel. A perfect place to watch the sunset.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWe gave it a try . . . wow!We tried CUSP on a whim and really enjoyed it. First, they have an impressive cocktail program and make the drinks very well. I would return just for a Manhattan. I started with the crab salad flatbread, which was delicious. For entrees, I had the paparadelle with pork sauce, which was excellent. My spouse had the pasta special, lobster ravioli, which was truly delicious. All of the pasta is house made, which is impressive. We finished with the apple fritter; it's hard to dislike deep fried apples. Nice.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely staff made our dinnerLovely staff made our dinner special for my dad's birthday. Thanks!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMYummy!Came with my friend for dinner. We started with the pepperoni rolls and toasted quinoa. Both were delicious, the rolls cheesy and comforting and the quinoa was light and refreshing. For dinner, we had the gnocchi and pork ragout. Both of the homemade pasta dishes were delicious. For dessert, we split the apple fritters. These too were very good with crunchy granola and creamy caramel. Servers were very attentive and the view was amazing (even though it was a foggy evening! We felt cozy inside!) My friend and I can't wait to go back!!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMEven during restaurant week,Even during restaurant week, the service was super. Food delicious....honestly, the noise level from the bar (and we were back to the open kitchen) was painful. Not sure if it's our age or just it was really loud! Server told us to return mid week as weekends are 'vibrant!'Food was very good....dessert was exceptional.1/18/2013 12:00:00 AMIncredible view even throughIncredible view even through the haze of fog . Friendly staff who are willing to take the time and not rush us through an amazing dinner.
Both my husband and I ordered grilled sea bass on a bed of saffron risotto with chorizo.
Every morsel of this dish was delicious and prepared to perfection.
We definitely plan to return and bring friends. Also hope to attend one of the bourbon tastings that are offered during the week.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFABULOUS!!!This was my first time at Cusp. It was FABULOUS!!! Food was unique and delicious, service was wonderful (not too much, not too little, just right). And the cocktail list is very fun. I loved the spicy Remember the Mayans. And the Toasted Quinoa app was to die for (we ordered seconds)! The remodel is beautiful, contemporary, funky, and the view is still awesome. I will definitely be back.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMCusp, Cusp an evening's delight. My wife and I really enjoyed our evening dinner at Cusp of La Jolla. The food was great we had the Mussels with chorrizo and the Ceviche of the day for starters with a few drinks that were tasty and complimented our meal. Our entrees were great and we left the restaurant with a great impression and satisfied by the taste, quantity & quality of the food, the friendly and attentive service of our server Joey who was very kind and helpful and the ambiance. The restaurant also features a great view of La Jolla the water and sunsets if you're fortunate enough to dine as the sun goes down. We will definitely return and bring some of our friends to the restaurant.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
