This was our second visit to Cure and we were worried that it wouldn't meet the expectations generated by the terrific experience of our first visit. Not to worry, the second was as good as the first. Currently our favorite Portsmouth restaurant.

We went here for Restaurant Week and were not disappointed. Every dish was a unique take on a more New England dish and it did not disappoint. What I liked too is that it's a chef owned restaurant and the owner herself was cooking. Something about that connection just makes me feel good. Either way, the Seafood Risotto may have been the best I ever had. I'm still trying to figure out how they got so much flavor into the mussels. At the end of the day, it's a great meal and which my wife and I both agreed we'll certainly come back here again very soon.

The reception and service were very good, each dish that we had was very well presented and tasted great. The seafood risotto actually had seafood in it as opposed to some local restaurants who think seafood stock satisfies the bill. They need to scrap the current wine list and bring in a better selection that has a little more than new world inexpensive wines.

Fabulous from beginning to end, but no surprise there because Julie is such a talented chef and Neishira was as always so gracious and accommodating. Food was fantastic, music station was so good that we actually asked what station it was, and we cannot wait to return. I wish them continued success!

Cure is great. Great food , very good service, small restaurant so you don't feel like you are one of a crowd. It's a date place, a place to go with 2 or 3 friends. Interesting creative but not outlandish food. Go!

Appetizers and Deserts were exceptional. Entrees orders of Hanger steak were Luke warm and tough. Couldn't find much seafood in the Seafood Entree. Crowded and extremely nosy. Sarah the server was great. 2nd not so good dining experience sorry to say. Have heard however, great dinning experience at other times.

We went on Restaurant week and selected from their unique special 3-course choices. Everything from the apps to the dessert was delicious - not one complaint from our table. The big winners were scallops with bacon, the Saffron Seafood Risotto and the White chocolate pistachio bread pudding. Service was friendly and knowledgeable but could have been more attentive. The bar was really backed up and it took a long time to get drinks. The restaurant is small, so I would recommend making reservations. and when you do ask for the back room, it's a little more quiet and intimate. Looking forward to a return visit soon!

A friend and I had a dinner reservation during Restaurant Week. We were seated promptly at a well-lit table. Some tables were not lit at all. The appetizers (scallops and kale salad) were very good. The entrees not so much. Both of us got the flank steak. Mine was not even warm, and my potatoes were so over-roasted as to be little rocks. The desserts were delicious -- pumpkin creme brulee and pistachio bread pudding. We also enjoyed the decaf coffees. Our server was very good. Such a mixed bag that we probably will not go back.

Had a great experience at Cure, but definitely need to come back for a second try. We went during restaurant week and chose to order off of the regular menu. Two notable issues were: cold sweet potato mash on my boyfriends dish and a forgotten side (that was comped by the waitress when she realized her error!!). We enjoyed our meals and beverages, but felt that the restaurant week rush may have been the cause for some of our issues. Overall happy with our meals and experience and would like to give Cure another shot!

I was pleasantly surprised by the stellar service, ambiance, food and affordability of the selections at Cure Restaurant when I dined there recently. The mussels were spectacular...and I've sampled them all in Portsmouth. I had the short ribs as my entree and they were melt in your mouth good; the meat extremely flavorful and tender. Dessert was a perfect pumpkin creme brûlée. spectacular way to finish a truly exceptional dining experience. My thanks to the staff and to Chef Cutting for the memorable experience! I shall be returning often...

An excellent experience. Salmon and duck entrees were excellent, with nice creativity. As fine a dining experience as is available in Portsmouth at a reasonable price. We have lived in the area for 1 year. Cure, so far, is the best restaurant in town among many good or very good choices available. We loved the decor....simple with exposed brick....and comfortable. They have a great staff, all friendly and very helpful. The food totally shines bright. Everything has a special and unique twist to it and the surprise was welcoming! We loved it and will come often.....now our go to spot when company visits! And our guests have loved it too!

The place is cozy with a bar area and a back dining room and patio. The bread was delicious as were the mushrooms. The chicken was cooked perfectly. You can get a really decent bottle of wine for $30. The staff was there when you needed them and with a smile. We were made to feel like regulars even though this was our first time there. I wish, though, there was a bit more fish on the menu. You should go!

The location and ambiance are great as was the service and attention to detail. Our table of 4 had a couple of salads which were very good, but... NY Strip steak was thin, slightly over done, tough and overall small - well seasoned though. I should have sent it back to the kitchen, but by the time I thought of that I was half done. Lamb shanks and Salmon dinners were also OK, nothing special even though they sound out of the world on the menu.

My husband and I dined there for our wedding anniversary which I noted on the reservation. This was not acknowledged. We waited a good 15 minutes before our server showed up. She did apologize and offered the first round of drinks on the house. It was a Friday night and very noisy. While our entrée of crispy duck was delicious, my onion soup to start had too much bread. It would have been quite tasty otherwise. The dessert of salted caramel crème brûle was very good. I would give the restaurant another chance, but not on a busy night. It was too noisy for a romantic setting.

So we continued on to our next destination and I decided to use open table to find a reservation for the 5 of us. Low and behold, Cure had immediate seating for 5 people in 7 minutes. We turned around and headed back and we were promptly seated. Open Table 1 - Hostess 0

As we were getting ready to walk out our food was delivered with no apology. I ordered the duck medium well and I was rare, my husband had salmon. It was heavy on the sauce.
