This is a real bargain-both food and wine.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMDelightful Lunch SpotTucked in on California St, just off of Fillmore's mad rush of people, is a sweet, delightful touch of Paris...a small bistro, with a few outdoor tables and a comfy indoor space. The ambiance is welcoming, the waiter was helpful, attentive and made great recommendations on both our food and wine selections. The food was delicious and a good size portion. We shared yummy crab cakes, and a tasty light veggie quiche, both came with a perfectly dressed mixed greens salad.....dessert was to die for, a warm soft brownie with ice cream and whipped cream....a perfect afternoon lunch. The food is very good, main course portions are ample but not over-sized (a good thing) allowing prices to be reasonable, it's quiet owing to it's small size and service is attentive and friendly. Most of us had the lamb chop special this night. There were two small chops that were very tender and tasty with a small side of vegetables and either mashed potatoes or fries as a substitute. Wine selections are not extensive but sufficient and prices are also very reasonable by the glass or bottle. We'll certainly be back again.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food is always good.

Our food was really good, the crab cakes were delicious as was the smoked chicken salad. They are a busy little restaurant with only one server which can take some time, but the ambiance and food is meant to be savored and enjoyed, so to have a little extra time was appreciated. Food was not spectacular, but was very good and prices were extremely reasonable. Best part of the meal was the excellent service. One member of our group did not care for her risotto entree. The dish was quite salty and had a slightly unusual flavor to it--nothing wrong with it, but she did not care for the taste. The waiter saw this and offered to bring her something else at no charge. She declined, and the waiter offered to remove this item from the bill. Again my friend declined, so the waiter finally offered to bring her a glass of wine at no charge-which she accepted.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMwonderful French bistroPerfect little French bistro with excellent fine dining choices (from a fall-off-the-bone lamb shank to risotto, pot roast to stuffed pork chop). Classics like French Onion Soup and pear/ Gorgonzola/ candied walnut salad are spot on. The wine lost is well curated and reasonably priced. Service is attentive and friendly, neither overbearing nor too casual. We love this place and highly recommend it.
