Shared the cheese plate paired with fruit chutney and crostini, fried eggplant, squid sandwich, sunchoke chips &yogurt drizzled with sherry reduction a dreamy creamy accompaniment! Acorn fattened Iberico ham was delish, and the lamb with moorish spices was a savory delight! The raspberry sorbet with chocolate mousse and hazelnut should not be missed. Lovely complementing flavors! Spanish beer and wine selections were very good. Our only disappointment was not being able to order sangria by the glass only one person in our group wanted it. Classic Spanish tapas of every description are available and the portion sizes are perfect for sharing at the table as is done all over Spain. I was happy to find one of my personal favorites Pa Amb Tomaquet, a popular Catalan tapa which is a piece of Spanish crusty bread rubbed with tomato, then drizzled with olive oil. On Curate's menu, it is listed as Pan con Tomate. One may order this plain, with Manchego cheese, or with anchovies. Every way it is just delicious. I also enjoyed the mushrooms sauteed in sherry, and the Jamon Iberico - cured ham from black pigs. Was unable to fit dessert, but a unique "tower" of chocolate and nuts went by that looked fascinating. Our waiter was knowledgeable about each item on the menu (which cannot be easy) and did an excellent job of guiding us and making recommendations. The food was the best I've ever had (and I live in a town with many good ethnic restaurants). I'm quite sure there is no other restaurant in the country that could match the experience we had at Curate on Sunday night. Nothing disappointed us. My all time favorite is the calamari, which melted in the mouth. The skewered lamb was also a favorite of the group. Our service was excellent, no hovering, but it seemed like every time we were ready to order another dish, our waitstaff was ready, pleasant, and professional. This place is a wonderful experience for the senses. Please don't take children to this restaurant, it would spoil the whole experience for the adults there trying to have the ultimate dining experience. The food was excellent. The wait staff was most helpful and attentive to explain to my husband and I the differences of all the small plates that were offered and even brought us a birthday dessert.
