Everything was great except for the pasta with squid ink, it was very generic and no flavor, not authentic at all! Concidering thats the whole reason we decided to eat there, that was very disappointing! Our waiter was excellent!

The only reservation I could get for this visit to Curate was at 3:45. The food here is always interesting. Each visit exposes me to new taste and flavor combinations that are amazing. The shrimp with garlic is my favorite along with the spinach with pine nuts, apples and raisins. New for me this time was the butternut squash soup, perfect for this time of year. Our server Jeremy made perfect wine selections for our food choices.

What a little gem on Biltmore Avenue. The interior is understated yet attractive. The wait staff know their menu. The presentation is very nice, and the food is just perfect. I was there for brunch, which was wonderful, even the coffee is good. But I will definitely go back so that I can try the rest of the menu.

Visited Curate on trip from Portland, Oregon. We weren't disappointed! Started with sauteed spinach, pine nuts & raisins, moved on to sauteed garlic shrimp, and then a Spanish style cannelloni with beef, pork and chicken livers covered in a bechamel and manchego cheese. Ended the meal with a scrumptious salted caramel flan. If I lived in Asheville this place would be a regular. And our waiter was absolutely spot-on!

We pair our tapas with "Sangria de Cava" and tapas from the different regions in Spain! A classic tapas from Valencia -"Brandada de Bacalao": Cod & Potato Purée. Next comes Cúrate's fabulous "Tabla de Embutidos Ibericos", 4-separate preparations from the "Iberico de Bellota" (World's Best & most expensive) pig: "limo" (tenderloin), "cabecero" (top loin), "salchichon" (a summer sausage) and "chorizo" (spicy sausage) - incredibly good!! Next up from the Seville region, "Pincho Moruno": Lamb kebabs. From Madrid, the "Bocata de Calamares": Fried squid bacadillo (sandwich). Ingredients are imported, authentic and almost impossible to find in the U.S. ¡muy bien! Anthony Bourdain selected Cúrate to host his "No Reservations" closing cast party!

Very busy and noisy tapas bar/rest. Trade tapas menu. Good selection of Spanish wines and sherries. Waiter asked us to order all of our selections "so they would come out over the course of our dinner". Waited roughly 20 minutes for initial offerings. Gaps of up to 10 minutes for others. One never came. Reminded waiter. After nothing for another 20 minutes requested check, paid and left. We wanted more food, desert, coffee and brandies, but tired of the poor service. Too bad. Unexpected based on the reviews.

My husband and I were given a Curate gift card as a wedding present- great gift! Our visit to Curate was not just sitting down for a meal... it was a full on experience. We read through the menu and selected a few different tapas to satisfy each of us, and both of us. We ended up with 6 items. All of the items were good... 2 or 3 were exceptional. The whole experience was wonderful because the vibe of the restaurant is eclectic and cool. We didn't feel rushed. We laughed at ourselves as we tried to pronounce menu items (we don't speak Spanish). I would recommend eating at Curate and I would recommend giving a gift card as a present. We plan to send our gift-giver a second thank note now that we've had the pleasure of dining there.

The crowd around Curate for Sunday Brunch extended down the block on a block full of bruncheries. With an OT reservation, we were happily seated with the initial rush, but it still would have been... worth the wait. The tapas menu is varied and authentic, and the brunch additions expand the options to create a tapas-brunch mashup that works nicely. Be advised, in the Deep South, the requisite brunch libation cannot pass your lips til noon, but I promise you the Bloody Maria with horseradish foam is...worth the wait. Our service, while pleasant, was peculiar in that our waitress often straightened our tableware but then seemed lackadaisacal about getting food delivered, but each small bite was so delectable it was...worth the wait.

An excellent choice for those looking for cutting edge cuisine. Curate is rated so highly because of its creative take on tapas, which are perfect for sharing and creating a social dining experience. Each tapas we ordered was unique, with the freshest ingredients. These little gems are a feast for the eye as well as the soul. They come out as they are prepared, and on a busy night, you will need to be patient; however, this adds to the experience, since you can eat slowly and savor dishes individually. Very attentive service as well. Reservations during high season and on weekends are a must. This is lively venue with an open kitchen behind the bar rather than a quiet romantic spot.

The menu offers a wide variety of choices. Everything we ordered was delicious! When you go to a tapas restaurant you should expect to spend time tasting and talking. Curate delivers. The tabla de jamon gives you a chance to compare hams and discover why Spanish hams are so good. Pimientos de piquillo combines roasted peppers with silky smooth goat cheese, to perfection . Make sure to try the fried eggplant with the skewered lamb, the two dishes are meant to be together. Gambas al ajillo take garlic to a new level. Setas al Jerez maybe the best mushroom dish we have ever had! The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, so do yourself a favor and order at least three tapas per person. You will want more. The wine list is heavy on Spanish wines but works with the menu. A great dining experience.

We had read recent write-ups about Curate in various magazines and online. We were curious to see what all the "buzz" was about! Due its popularity, we were not able to get dinner reservations, but were able to get lunch reservations. Our waitress was helpful in explaining how the tapas menu worked, and we made our selections. Some were better than others, but overall it was a positive experience. The timely serving of each dish was great, and the presentation was fabulous. We would definitely return if given the opportunity.
