I went with my husband and another couple- it was perfect for 4. Waitress was fantastic! Sangria was awesome. It is a great way to try new things without being stuck with a huge plate if you don't like it. Although... i liked everything.

When dining at Cúrate be prepared for more than just dinner. You really are getting a complete dining experience. Combine the dynamic, fascinating menu with a complimenting atmosphere and you already have most of the ingredients for a good night. Add into the mix knowledgeable friendly wait staff and a tableside visit from the manager to welcome you to the restaurant and wish you bon appetite, and you have the recipe for a memorable night. This is a place not to be missed. Reserve your table in advance.

This is an experience you will never forget. There is so much attention to detail in each dish's taste, texture, and presentation. A real creative play of flavors in the food is obviously purposeful. It truly is quite a poetic dining experience. You will not have to remind yourself to chew or pay attention to your meal, it will beckon all of your awareness. Plenty of options for vegetarians too.

  • FANTASTIC TAPAS IN ASHEVILLE!

We had a group of eight tennis players enjoying dinner last Thursday in Asheville. The service was professional, yet made all of us feel that this was a fun place and that we could relax and enjoy the evening; nothing stuffy but always attentive! The food was absolutely wonderful! Several of us had the marinated lamb skewers and loved the exotic Moroccan spices. I thought the shrimp and garlic dish was especially flavorful, but also loved tasting a friend's seafood dish! Everyone agreed that we would return to Curate the next time we visit Asheville. What a jewel of a restaurant!

This place was a culinary adventure! Every tapas dish we ordered (and we ordered five) was unique, delicious and at times even exquisite! Prices weren't as high as I thought they might have been, given its reputation in the dining world. The only downside was, we went there at lunchtime because we were unable to get a dinner reservation. It was a beautiful day outside, and yet there was no patio. Walking inside the restaurant was like entering a dark chamber and not exactly where you'd want to be on a beautiful day, especially after passing by several gorgeous, leafy restaurant patios while walking to this restaurant.

I tried to get a reservation on my actual birthday (a Saturday) but none were available, so I picked the next night. Earlier in the week, I decided to call Curate to see if there were any openings on Saturday. They had a cancellation and gave me a reservation for around 5:45 pm. I asked them to call me if any later time became available. They ended up calling me with the perfect time! I greatly appreciate that they took the time to accomodate my requests. The food was absolutely fantastic! I walked away feeling satisfied but not overly stuffed. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Not typically a fan of Spanish cuisine, and disappointed with Jose Andres Bazaar Miami, but Curate is stellar with extremely tasty and innovative food. The octopus and stuffed peppers were simply delicious and the white beans with the sausage was addictive even for non-legume eaters. Highly recommend and cannot wait to go back.

As recent Asheville transplants, my husband and I go out to eat every week - deciding at the last minute where to go. It took us a little time to realize we needed to make a reservation to dine at Curate - so booked well in advance. It was worth the advance planning. We shared a number of dishes - each one more delicious than the last. A festival of tastes and presentation. We will make sure to book dinner here at least once a month. My husband said "the best meal I have had in Asheville." We'll be back!!

Tapas were served for three people. The menu was varied and we sampled numerous items. The starter was locally padron peppers that were highlighted with bonito flakes--excellent! We also sampled the polpo warmed with pimento that was wonderfully tender! The lamb skewer with Moorish spices was excellent. We felt the bill was reasonable and we look forward to enjoying this Asheville restaurant again! Thanks to waiter Michael for answering our numerous questions!

This place is fun and delicious. the pork "skirt steak" , stuffed piquito peppers and lamb skewers were absolutely delicious and tender. The watermelon salad, paired with the spanish hams, were the perfect salty, sweet bite. We love the tapas menu restaurants. it is so much fun with a group, it makes for a fun and interesting night as each dish comes out randomly and the table gets to enjoy each dish together. 5 stars, no question, no hesitation, counting the days until we get back to Asheville and Curate. Sitting at the bar provided a front seat to how they realize such a triumph...the beauty of the tapas lies in the spectrum of flavors that the small plates afford. And Curate excels. Favorite dishes were the ham from the pigs who eat nothing but chestnuts (pure melt-in-your-mouth nirvana) and the unexpected whole-is-greater-than-sum-of-parts lightly fried eggplant with honey and rosemary. Also loved the meatballs as well as the trout ceviche. Make a reservation, otherwise arm yourself with patience. You won't be disappointed.

Everything we ordered was superb. Our waiter helped us with a few selections. The pork with the fresh rosemary and thyme was the best I have ever tasted. Would have ordered a second helping if it had been less expensive. Our waiter suggested we have the eggplant with drizzled honey as more of a dessert option and recommended the rosemary ice cream to accompany it. Wonderful. Can't wait for my next trip to Asheville

With El Bulli's closure before I had the opportunity to visit, I wanted to experience the cuisine of its chefs. Curate in Ashville, NC, affords that opportunity. From the moment you enter the restaurant you are confident you have made the right choice. The friendly staff make you feel right at home and as the service continues you are attended by knowledgeable and charming staff. The challenge begins with making the selections from the extensive menu of tapas choices, all of which are very enticing. With the assistance of the staff a selection of six to eight items makes for a diner's delight. Accompanied by a very nice wine list Curate provides a dining experience one will not forget.
