We had dining reservations at 7:30, however we arrived at 7pm and due to our table being in the back of the bus, we asked to sit in front of the hostest table. From this seating we watched multiple couples over the age of 50 being told there would be at least an hour to 2 hrs before a table would be available, however from our view several young ladies were not only seated immediately without reservations in the front window of the restaurant, the restaurants manager took personal care of them. We were served by Da'vd and he was lovely. We could only get 2 drinks from him given how busy he was,,we guess, however the restaurant manager was very quick to bring multiple drinks to the young ladies in the front window.

It had been a long time since I had been to Curate because it isn't a place to go without reservations! Plan ahead. We had a group of 6 and enjoyed every moment and every dish. The service was exceptional. The dishes came out at a nice pace. Well worth getting reservations and making an event of it!

The three of us ordered 8 different small items, and they were all delicious. Of special note was the Tabla de Jamon (selection of three cured hams), Tabla de Quesos (magnificence selection of cheeses!), Espinacas a la Catalana (Sauteed spinach, apples, raisins, and toasted pine nuts), Gambasal Ajillo (sauteed shrimp and sliced garlic - ordered 2 because they were excellent!), and Pincho Moruno (lamb skewers in moorish spices - tender and moist). Service was outstanding and never felt rushed. Definitely plan to go back. One of the top 2 restaurants in Asheville.

Having heard about Curate from several years, we made reservations on a trip to Asheville. It was terrific! Food and service were wonderful, and the Tapas menu was fun. The waiter was very helpful, and patiently led us through all the menu choices. All of us thought it was one of the best restaurants we had experienced in a long time.

I love the tapas style concept. We each ordered 2 tapas and shared and we were stuffed! Their eggplant drizzled with honey and rosemary is the most surprisingly amazing yumminess. The kids even liked it, and they enjoyed the potatoes, ham and chicken dishes too. Their potatas bravas is the staple favorite of everyone I know that goes there. Yes, the potatoes, you just have to try it and you will understand. Curate is always packed, but the service was very FAST and on top of it. We made reservations a week in advance. I would recommend you do the same as you really don't want to miss this! This is hands down my favorite place to eat in Asheville, and I live here and have tried them all!

Curate is always such a wonderful experience! Their menu is packed with truly authentic Tapas selections. The bread with tomato and Manchego cheese, olives, Jamon selection, Patatas Bravas, Brussel sprouts with foamed celery yogurt are all so delicious. We love the eggplant drizzled with honey and rosemary and our server recommended ordering that for dessert with their homemade rosemary ice cream, it was incredible!

Food was okay but we felt rushed to finish. I believe the faster that we finished the more money they would make. Manager didn't care about customer satisfaction, since the Curate has already made it in the publics eye. We have gone to many well renowned restaurants, this one falls short with customers experience and the food was okay. I was not overwhelmed for so called 5 star restaurant.

My husband and I were able to find great tapas, even though we are vegetarian. The service was good, including being helpful about some specifics. My only complaint was that I like "semi-sweet" wine, and they really don't have one. But that's probably because customers who are knowledgeable about wine probably don't look for that!

My husband and I shared 6 little plates of delectable Spanish dishes. We were helped in our selections by our very knowledgeable waiter. The restaurant is so popular that an evening reservation was not possible for our vacation so a late lunch was perfect. The good news for us is that the menu is the same all day long. We think Asheville is a perfect location for Curate.

For someone new to tapas and Spanish cuisine, this restaurant was an outstanding experience! Very interesting dishes with good explanations by our server. 3 of us ordered/shared 9 dishes (and 2 deserts!) and only one disappointed (the lamb kabobs were tough with an odd flavor - they took it off the bill without our asking).

Loved our recent visit to Curate. The tapas were top rate and full of wonderful flavors. Right up their with some of the best we've had. Big fans of La Boca in Santa Fe, Curate was right their head to head with them. Wish we lived in Asheville, we're be regulars. We had a lovely waitress, Erin, and the rest of the wait staff was great as well always describing the dishes as they were served. Can definitely understand why this is one of the best restaurants in Asheville. Hope we'll get a chance to eat their again someday.

The only reservation I could get for this visit to Curate was at 3:45. The food here is always interesting. Each visit exposes me to new taste and flavor combinations that are amazing. The shrimp with garlic is my favorite along with the spinach with pine nuts, apples and raisins. New for me this time was the butternut squash soup, perfect for this time of year. Our server Jeremy made perfect wine selections for our food choices.

Visited Curate on trip from Portland, Oregon. We weren't disappointed! Started with sauteed spinach, pine nuts & raisins, moved on to sauteed garlic shrimp, and then a Spanish style cannelloni with beef, pork and chicken livers covered in a bechamel and manchego cheese. Ended the meal with a scrumptious salted caramel flan. If I lived in Asheville this place would be a regular. And our waiter was absolutely spot-on!

We pair our tapas with "Sangria de Cava" and tapas from the different regions in Spain! A classic tapas from Valencia -"Brandada de Bacalao": Cod & Potato Purée. Next comes Cúrate's fabulous "Tabla de Embutidos Ibericos", 4-separate preparations from the "Iberico de Bellota" (World's Best & most expensive) pig: "limo" (tenderloin), "cabecero" (top loin), "salchichon" (a summer sausage) and "chorizo" (spicy sausage) - incredibly good!! Next up from the Seville region, "Pincho Moruno": Lamb kebabs. From Madrid, the "Bocata de Calamares": Fried squid bacadillo (sandwich). Ingredients are imported, authentic and almost impossible to find in the U.S. ¡muy bien! Anthony Bourdain selected Cúrate to host his "No Reservations" closing cast party!
