Diner Reviews
  • "Food was excellent, not too salty. Good presentation. However, we ordered the same thing but one dish had mushroom garnishes and the other didn't. Really enjoyed the bread. Table was situated in a quiet corner for our anniversary dinner. Dessert was the best out of everything we ordered. We decided to have lunch at the restaurant because our kids were having summer cooking camp at their chef school. Everything they brought back home was delicious. We highly recommand the "Patio picnic" sessions. Service could improve a little more. Didn't offer us any water until we almost finished our meals. Overall, we liked our experience."

  • "We were the only ones thre on a summer Saturday evening. The room we were in was very attractive. I imagine it isn't busy in the summer months because of it's location in a business area. The menu is quite extensive and the food was well prepared and attractively presented. We would definitely go back."

  • "I've been Culinaria twice, once for a business lunch and once with family. It was a great choice for both occasions. The food is great and the staff is attentive. I also liked the fact that is it quiet so you can enjoy conversation. Extensive wine list. They also offer cooking classes."

  • "Newly renovated and gorgeous. Seems like a modern take on French Country, well done. The food was outstanding and our waitress was a lovely young lady. I would go back time and again. "

  • "I recently treated my wife for dinner at Culinaria on her birthday, where this was our first visit. Basically, a very classy restaurant. We are admittedly not sophisticated connoisseurs, but the quality and presentation of the food obviously cannot be compared to that of average restaurants. Well worth the price. An excellent place to visit for special occasions. Highly recommended!"

  • "The service was terrible. We weren't greeted at our arrival and had to go find a staff member to seat us. The overall service was poor and the food was ok. Definitely not worth the money we paid."

  • "This was the first time I had eaten at the restaurant, and I am ashamed to admit I was not expecting much. However, I was blown away by the quality of food served to us. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted overwhelmingly delicious. The prices are a little steep, but for a special occasion, I would definitely recommend this to anyone!"

  • "I have experienced fine dining at this restaurant many times. However, We went on Valentines and it was a huge disappointment. The meal was terrible, especially the steak. I could not eat mine as the quality of the meat was poor. It was tough and fatty. I was not the only one in the restaurant who complained and did not finish the steak. Additionally the service was not great, they were experiencing problems getting the right meals to the right table. When you are paying $80 per person you expect a great meal. I will not be going back based on this experience. How can a culinary school be so bad?"

  • "Excellent service, very good food. Can't justify the price to myself if it is not a special occasion."

  • "As soon as we arrived we were seated promptly. We had brought a bottle of wine. The sommelier was clumsy while decanting spilling on the table and ignoring it. He took off with my napkin after cleaning the outside of the bottle. Food was EXPENSIVE and overrated as I had requested a rare cooked meat and got a medium cooked one..... lobster tail was on the chewy side .... and at least management should mention on the website that the corkage fee is an exorbitant 25 dollars. Definitely overrated and not worth 200 dollars for 2 people for a surf and turf and a soup and no dessert"

  • "We had to find a restaurant in that area for our anniversary and weren't expecting anything great but stumbled across this gem of a restaurant on opentable. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the owner and made to feel very comfortable and welcome. We had such amazing service despite there being a few large groups in the restaurant/private rooms. We had an excellent Caesar salad and vegetarian pasta dish. Since dining we have recommended this to many of our friends. This is a real find if you are in missisauga or Etobicoke. The meat thing about this place is the cooking school as well so if had a very dynamic feel overall. Was fantastic! We will be back."

  • "Enjoyed our dinner very much. The owner was walking around chatting with guests. Very nice decor. It did get noisy at times with the private functions happening in different rooms. Good experience overall, will return for the food."

  • "The service at the Culinaria Restaurant was impeccable. The price is what you would pay for a quality Toronto fine dining night out. The food on the other hand, did not meet the standard of a Montana's or Keg. The presentation of the meal, from apps to main course to dessert, was lovely. The quality of the food was lacking. Maybe this was because of the open bar, wedding party that they were hosting that night. It took a while for our drinks, and that could have caused our food to be luke warm and not really flavourful."

  • "I was very impressed with this restaurant. Food was great (good vegan selection in addition to many meat and fish dishes). Really good wine list, as well as an option to bring your own. Wait staff was friendly and courteous. Its in a converted farm house from the early 1800's, so lots of cool history and heritage with a modern look and feel. Check it out!"
