  • "We were a group of 6 ladies out for a stagette. The meal was incredible - portion sizes were amazing. Price was great. The only downside was that there weren't enough staff. Only two servers for the entire restaurant and no bartender. We were only able to order two drinks each in the three hours we were there because they were just too busy. It was nearly a half hour before our first drink order was taken and close to an hour before we received the first drinks. That part was quite disappointing, and would make me hesitate to recommend or return."

  • "Went for a nice dinner for a three month anniversary. Servers were outstanding. Friendly, helpful and accommodating. My girlfriend had the house white wine and really enjoyed it. I partook in one of their many non-alcoholic cocktails and also enjoyed it, as well as the fact that they offer options for those of us that do not drink. We had an appetizer, dinner and desert, and everything was fantastic. I'd highly recommend this resteraunt to anyone looking for a nice romantic spot. The location is also nice, as we went for a walk along the river valley following dinner."

  • "Right from being seated to being served the food, it was disappointing. It took over 20 minutes to get our first cocktail. We were celebrating a birthday and our last visit to the restaurant was two years ago, at time it was excellent all round. This visit service was extremely slow, staff was very friendly but my steak came rare when I ordered medium."

  • "I took my Dad out for an early Father's Day breakfast on Saturday. They were very accommodating to his lack of mobility seating us right near the door. The server was exceptional. Very pleasant. The food was delicious! My Ukrainian Dad loved having perogies and kubassa with his scrambled eggs. My eggs benny with sausage and fried potatoes was scrumptious. Definitely will go back and try dinner and lunch. Thank you!"

  • "We went out to celebrate a special occasion and Culina was a perfect choice. The wine list was amazing, though beware, wines start at ~$40 and are only available by the bottle. We ordered a bottle of Familia Pacheco and it was delicious. We ordered Pao de Queijo to start, which came with this amazing tomato chutney. Both my girlfriends chicken and my pork shoulder were nothing short of amazing. But best of all: both our meals and our appetizer were gluten free, which was perfect for her as she is celiac."

  • "cant remember the names but i do remember the taste. the goat cheese with mushroom flakey pastry thing was amazing as was the brazilian friend cheese balls with tomato chutney and tasted like curry. seems more indian than brazilian with the curri but whatever you call it doenst matter. i heard you change the menu every 6 months or so. dont take away the cheese balls! The word cheese balls dont do them justice but i want tio make sure you know what I'm talking about!"

  • "I had the brunch special while I was here (Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict). I wasn't blown away, both by the size of the dish (in relativity to price) and taste. Since it was my first time at Culina, it might have just been my dish in particular. The cubed potatoes were quite tasty but the rest of the dish tasted quite bland, leaving me somewhat disappointed. Overall, for close to $50 for two very small dishes and two teas, I don't think I will be coming back. I had high hopes and had read excellent reviews too. "

I am thinking a little more lighting might be useful, otherwise the food and service were wonderful. The staff were very attentive. I would go back again."

However the pregnant girl with glasses is not friendly in person or when answering the phone. I was there on a first date and she left us sitting with no drinks for a really long time."

I find the chairs uncomfortable and we were disappointed to learn that the calamari and white bean hummus have been removed from the menu as this was the only place to find gluten free calamari in the entire city, that I am aware of.   • "For our annual girls night out, we decided to try Culina for dinner. It was fantastic! We shared applies, mussels and some Brazilian inspired balls (?), both were great. I had the lamb ravioli (delicious!!), one of my friends had the steak with chocolate blue cheese sauce (also delicious but it came with fries and that was the only downfall) and our other friend had the chicken dish (I don't recall the name but it was great, as well). We shared a fantastic bottle of wine and three different desserts. It was great experience and I would highly recommend that people dine there and enjoy the ambience and delectable cuisine!"

  • "Small menu but that's not a bad thing at all! Delicious brunch items. Service was excellent - not too rushed but there when you need them. The homemade perogies were tender and delicious and the scrambled eggs done perfectly - not too dry but not runny. It is a small restaurant and one drawback is the door entering directly into the restaurant area so on a cool, windy day you want to sit away from the curtained off door. I've been here a few times and never been disappointed."
