the food itself was really good and enjoyed very much... but the service uhhh was so so slow.. and the hosted seem like it was her first day and it took them about 20min to get our bill and return my card.... for this reason i would not recommend this place nor would i return...

We have been to Rustica a few times and continue to be impressed with the quality of the food and service at this restaurant. On this night we were in a hurry for a show and requested quick service--and got it. Both my wife and I enjoy well made pasta and our dishes were delicious. So were the wines.

"
The noise rating is moderate because Cucina Rustica offers live music in the dining room on many nights (including this past night), and the music is usually very good indeed. The food is good, too, with excellent daily offerings in all categories and a solid regular base, and there are many delicious specialty cocktails and liqueurs to enhance the before- and after-dinner experience. The wine list is chosen with an eye to taste, not to prestige, and may be the most reasonably priced in all downtown LA. In fact, Cucina Rustica probably delivers the best bang fot the buck in terms of food, drink, atmosphere and service of any Italian restaurant in downtown. If you don't need to dazzle your companions, this is a wise choice for dinner.

I've been meaning to try this restaurant for months and I'm glad I finally did. My friend and I started with a Mista salad which was fresh, crisp, and had a great red wine vinaigrette dressing with a little kick. My go-to dish is Linguine Del Mare. They only had shrimp for some reason, but to compensate for the lack of clams, they gave me 5 jumbo shrimp, and at least 6 medium shrimp. After sprinkling on a nice spoonful of red pepper flakes, the dish was absolutely deliciously perfect. The sauce was flavorful and a great consistency (not too thin, which happens a lot). A great glass of pinot noir rounded out the meal. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this meal and will definitely return!

Amazing and delicious pasta dinners. Well priced, great wine list and top notch service. Decor was nicely appointed, staff was gracious and atmosphere was classy and fun. Was in town on business and ended up going back to dinner here the next evening!

Great service, good prices, and solid food. We tried the burrata app special which was very tasty and the Chicken Florentine and Penne Siciliana for entrees. Both were very tasty, but I did find the side of french-fry like potatoes very strange. Tasty, but odd in an Italian restaurant.
