  • "Come to eat wonderfully prepared dishes, but don't expect much atmosphere .. Service could have been a star better, but food made it worth the stumbles."

  • "I went to brunch with 3 others. Service was average. Pancakes (with blueberries) were very good. French toast was less so. Fried potatoes were quite good. Omelet was less than average according to my friends who said that they would not return. I might return for the pancakes."

  • "Everyone loved their meals. Lemon ricotta pancakes were FABULOUS!!"

  • "This place had great tasting food make no mistake, but the service was outstanding, amazing is even a word I would use, the staff and management should be proud of the job they are doing, my wife and I agree, wonderful out door dinning and great food but the staff will have us go back for more."

  • "The best reason to go to Cucina Pazzo is the food. Every dish had depth and richness, and they make what passes for Italian food elsewhere io St. Louis (I'm looking at you, The Hill) seem like a joke. I selected the meatball "appetizer" (really meant for 2-3 people) and had to rethink my entree: tasty meatballs on a bed of rich polenta with cheese and herb accents. I then had the small portion short rib tagliatelle, which was perfectly cooked and assisted by a deep and rich mushroom sauce that was almost like a veal reduction. My one gripe with CP (other than NO appetizers meant for 1) is the wine list. Too few by-the-glass selections, and too many non-Italian selections. I'd dump the non-Italian and stock up on affordable options."

  • "On our second visit to Cucina Pazzo since the menu was updated to have it's own vibe but emulate with a more Italian flair the tasting boards and fresh fish market of it's sister restaurant, we found this to be a winning enhancement to what was already going on in the former Duff space. We had excellent drinks, wine and a delicious dinner. Keep up the good work!"

  • "Food was very tasty. Our server, Megan, was spot on. Nice wine selections. Half-baked cookie dessert was out of this world."

  • "Took a group of my friends here for a birthday dinner. Had a great time! Everyone loved their food: halibut, chicken modiera (sp?), rigatoni, papardelle, caprese salad, half-baked cookie and nutella desserts. YUM! Service was great - friendly and timely. Love the chef there, Justin. Real friendly guy that made sure we were all happy. Great place for a casual night out with a good appetite. Cocktail menu was fun too!"

  • "I eat here a couple of times a month. Sunday brunch or dinner I'm always happy. The latest addition of Tasting Boards is brilliant. These are three entree types dishes put together in a cohesive way. Surf & Turf = Lobster Risotto, Beef medallions topped with crab and Proscuitto Shrimp. This is not "tapas" but truly smaller portions of large plates. I choose to return often because of the service. No matter what curve ball I've thrown at them (like my entire party is an hour late on a Saturday night), they never get flustered or make me feel badly. They just "make it work". Shout outs to Jamie who works the host stand most every time I'm there - and to Maggie - server extraordinaire."

  • "Outstanding. We were greeted by a smiling, cheerful host. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to our needs. And the food...magnifico! Thanks for choosing St. Louis, Chef!!!"

  • "This was our first visit to Cucina Pazzo and it won't be our last! Our server was friendly, energetic and helpful. The food was interesting and tasty. There were plenty of great choices and we were filled by a few appetizers. The dessert fritters with lemon curd and blueberry compote was memorable."

  • "I have been to Cucina Pazzo numerous times but this visit was very disappointing. Although the salads were great, I found the entrees uninspired. Our large group tried various sampler entrees with combinations of fish, meat, etc. Unfortunately, no one was impressed."

  • "I've been here twice and really like the food here. The ricotta pancakes are notable. The bread is fabulous but tiny portions. We asked for more and our waiter balked. We thought it was a bit weird. The meals for brunch were a better value than dinner. We'll be back for brunch for sure."

  • "The brunch food was delicious! The only drawback is that it is a little overpriced."

  • "They have a great menu for vegetarians and cocktails were awesome too!"

  • "I can hardly stand how much I love this place!!!! I've dinned here several times and I've never had just an ok experience. The staff is incredible, the food is fabulous and the atmosphere is lovely. Thank you all so much!!!!"

  • "Had an incredible meal here. They are very attentive to gluten free diners and offer amazing options. Wish we could have tried the gluten free dessert option, but were too stuffed from our entrees."

  • "We ate at Cucina Pazzo for the first time on our wedding anniversary. First bite of the ahi tuna appetizer, my husband looked at me and said, "We're coming back here!". Every dish we had was amazing!! The caprese salad was elevated by the creaminess of the fresh mozzarella, the short ribs and polenta dish was fork tender and so flavorful. Housemade fettucine alfredo was perfectly al dente and the seasonings were vibrant and perfectly matched. Dessert?? Don't miss the caramel bread pudding (we shared). You MUST GO!!"

  • "Those blueberry pancakes were very good. Portions are huge. Two others in our party had the chicken and the beef benedicts and loved them."

  • "I saw the pancakes on the front of Sauce magazine and had to have them. I invited 4 of my friends to dine with me for brunch. While they were all satisfied with their food, I was less than pleased. It wasn't what I expected at all. They weren't fluffy, the blueberries were barely there, the sea salt caramel butter was absent and I had to wait until they brought me some. I will say that the Cucumber Bloody Mary was my favorite part of the meal. The pesto home fries were delicious as well. Just the main course wasn't up to par. I'm not blaming anybody, just thought it would've been a better experience."

  • "Six of us had dinner for the first time at Cucina Pazzo and we all loved it! My husband and I got there early and were promptly welcomed. We had a drink at the bar and had a great conversation with the bartender about the restaurant, his favorite dishes, etc. Our server was very friendly and helpful as well. I ordered from the vegetarian menu, another in our party ordered from the gluten free, and everyone else off the regular menu and it was all exceptional! The pastas are fresh and full of flavor and my husband especially loved the pig pasta! We all shared a couple desserts including the nutella souffle which were amazing! I think it was even the chef or owner that came by to check on our satisfaction. We all said we would be back!"

  • "It isn't easy to replace a landmark of four decades, but Cucina Pazzo is quickly making a great name for itself at the former site of legendary Duff's Restaurant. Thanks to Justin's creative touch, the food is as interesting in its presentation as it is delicious. We've dined here several times, and each meal seems better than the last. A great addition to the city's restaurant scene."

  • "The service was good but was pricey for what you get and lacking flavor with my dish and my party agreed."

  • "Loved the food, seemed a bit pricey but would definitely go back. They have a vegetarian menu that is awesome! And the desserts fabulous !! Craft drinks excellent ."

  • "Group of 8 of us visited last weekend. The room was full and, just a bit noisy, but I would not expect anything else of that restaurant. The bread offering before the meal is outstanding. Freshly baked in a small iron skillet. A number of "Specials" were available, and all sounded very good. Two or three of the group went with the Scallops, and all reported that they were delicious. I sampled a pasta of shortribs and papardelle. Excellent choice. The Pasta Trio was another hit at the table. My only complaint was with the Pazzo Chopped Salad. The oregano was overdone in my opinion. All in all, a pleasant evening with friends in a fun environment. Would surely return."

  • "The service was intrusive and annoying. Started with a waiter, Andrew who we really liked. Andrew then turned us over to Dakota, a waiter who seemed inexperienced. Andrew, Dakota, and even the bartender, each more than once asked us how we were doing. My friend and I could barely carry on a conversation due to the constant interruptions from the 3 of them. Very annoying. The food was good."

  • "The food was fresh and expertly prepared. It arrived hot and presented perfectly! What a treat! Thank you for a truly wonderful dining experience."

  • "Items were good, but overpriced. Rigatoni was overcooked and quite dry. Too much oil on trout dish."

  • "Dined at Pazzo on a Sunday. The tapenade served with bread was outstanding. The food was excellent, though the servings seemed a bit small for the price tag. Wine at $8 a glass was a bit of a short pour. Still, we shall return."

  • "We live in the CWE and dine out a few times each week. While there are a number of eateries that have great food, superior service, ambiance--Cucina Pazzo in our opinion is one of very few that has it all! The food is alway tastes amazing, and is artfully presented. Servers, support wait staff, managers and hostess are all on message--we are comfortable from the moment we walk into the restaurant until the moment we leave--the staff has their attention turned to every detail of our experience. ...and whether we order at the restaurant or have The Food Pedaler deliver we are never disappointed!"

  • "We took my dad here for brunch, and had a delicious meal! He likes his breakfast food to be pretty traditional, but with interesting Italian twists on the classics, this was something different and delicious without messing too much with his favorite meal. The JH hash with pancetta and wonderful toasty Brussels sprouts was delicious and pleasantly light for a hash, the omelet was tasty and the pesto home fries a standout. The real winner though was the lemon-blueberry ricotta pancakes- they were fluffy, light, fruity and tangy without being very sweet. A mouthwatering combination and perfect with a mimosa!"

  • "This place makes service look effortless. For upscale casual dining they have it down perfectly and other places should take some notes. The food was equally impressive. They were a accommodating for a special need at the table and brought the food at a perfect pace. Bread was served in an iron skillet with a delicious oil and herb mixture. Chopped salad was tossed with the right amount of dressing and delicious. Short ribs were tender and full of flavor. It was obvious it was homemade pasta and they cooked it just right. And be it simple and not Italian, the half baked cookie was gooey and everything you'd want from a skillet cookie. The almond whipped cream was a twist and we loved it."

  • "Our server, Josh, was exceptionally alert, gracious, and knowledgeable. The manager, Joshua, was also attentive and very pleased with our second wine selection, bringing it out himself to watch our response. I'm sure our response pleased him as well. We hope to return, having had a hard time choosing selections from a nicely varied menu. We enjoyed everything, but the highlights included the caprese salad, the pig pasta (a surprising Asian preparation over perfect house-made pasta, which we shared as a app), and the short ribs over bleu cheese enhanced polenta."

  • "I dined at Cucina Pazzo for brunch this past Saturday with a few friends and was very pleased with my selection of this restaurant. The veggie hash and eggs was very tasty...brussel sprouts and onions cooked perfectly. I also recommend the asiago cheese grits and breakfast sausage as both are packed with flavor. Service was outstanding! This is a wonderful addition to the Central West End restaurant scene!"

  • "We live in U. City, and love Tavern Kitchen, so were thrilled when Cucina Pazzo opened in the CWE. The food is creative and exceptionally well prepared, with great presentation and variety. Service is always excellent, servers friendly and responsive. This was our 2nd visit--on our first, we were seated next to the open kitchen, and the noise level was so high we literally had to scream at each other to be heard. I requested different seating for our 2nd visit, and we sat in the next room, and it was very quiet, so we were happy. My one quibble is with a name--for dessert we chose was called a chocolate souffle with ice cream--it was actually a brownie. The dessert was excellent, but we were expecting a souffle."

  • "We had dinner with friends at this Central West End gem. Instead of the traditional dinner of salad and entree, we enjoyed sharing six different small plates with our friends. Everything was out of this world. We topped off our dinner with the brownie/ice cream dessert. It was a WOW finish to a delightful evening. It's important to note that our wonderful server helped us select our dishes, and she oversaw the order our food was served. It was fun and delicious. We can't wait to go back. "
