I was also glad I made a reservation because when we arrived at 8:30 the place was busy, loud, in a good way, and had a great vibe. We ordered wine and having come from a nearby restaurant for happy hour, we decided to share some apps for dinner. We choose the buffalo mozzarella salad which was so fresh and the balsamic glaze was to die for, carpaccio was so thin and complemented by the arugula and lastly the cured meats with goat cheese with olives. My God, heaven. The service was on point and not overwhelming. Professional and friendly. We will definitely be back. I wish I could have tried everything on the menu. I had the Gnocchi Classico and it was to die for! My boyfriend had the Chicken Parmiganio and it was probably the best Chicken Parm I have ever had. The service was great, our waitress was amazing, very bubbly and energetic and I loved the touch of her writing fun little notes on our take out boxes that made me smile. Our waitress, Jennifer, was fantastic. She was attentive AND obtrusive....giving us plenty of time for our reunion. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly and helpful. We always request a table outside to enjoy the view. Being a foodies from Chicago, we have high expectations from the places we frequent. I didn't appreciate the fact that they initially marked me down as a no show however. The food quality is very good. However, the portion sizes are so big its ridiculous. You can easily share everything. I wish we knew that ahead of time. We left a lot of food on our plates and since we were at a hotel, we didn't take it to go. Food is fresh and very well prepared. The wait staff is young eager and very attentive. They all help each other out. Team work is very important and the people at Cucina understand that.
