For the restaurant: 1) I made an advanced reservation for 2 - a weeknight at 7. On arriving, the only spots 'to choose from' were a small table in the bar area or the 2 top booth by the door (nosy children in next table). The two young hostesses weren't the least bit interested in my concern. Not a good first impression. 2) ongoing 'issue': food is well priced for dinner,it's a good place for a casual dinner. But winebottle prices skew high & don't match the meal 'value' . This has also been a complaint when there with a group of 6-8; wine cost way exceeds food cost - as a result the group that I dine out with doesn't like to return.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMAll around great experienceTiffany, our server, provided a great recommendation for a red wine (I don't usually like reds, but her choice was great) and was very good about knowing when to check in on us and when to let us be. Food was very flavorful and smart proportionate sizes - not too small and not huge. I was surprised to see several families with young kids there as well - I wasn't anticipating that and good to know it will be an option for me to bring my own kids there sometime. I was seeking a quiet romantic atmosphere and a delicious but affordable meal. It was perfect. We had a baked goat cheese appetizer, wonderful merlot wine, sausage pizza, "pastaless" lasagna (eggplant-based), and a peach bread pudding. All of these dishes were delicious - obviously fresh and high quality and also warming - still feeling the chill in the air from a recent snowstorm, this was really great. We were full and happy heading out and will definitely return. What a wonderful lunch with special attention from the kitchen and delivery by a great staff. We had a true gluten intolerant guest with us. He was so thrilled to have wonderful gluten free surprises.

The menu features a lot of standard Italian fare you'd expect. However, having dined here three times now (both for lunch and dinner) I do have to say the food is excellent and the staff are great, engaging and helpful. The wine selection our waiter made was great and he was attentive and super helpful, despite the fact that the place was packed on a Friday night.
