  • "Two words: Pork Belly. Omg so good! My boyfriend and I went here a couple of weeks ago. The place is very modern, I like the social dinning where everyone is sitting together, the drinks are a bit pricey, but all you should do is order the pork belly. We ordered some tacos as starters which were good and would have left us full but we wanted to try the pork belly as every review I've read mentioned this. When it came we were blown away. Three chunks of heaven on the plate... we left happy. "

  • "The food was good. But the portions were kind of on the smaller side. The one thing we didn't really like was the fact that we made a reservation online days in advance, but when we arrived, we got a table way in the back. This table, although quaint, and a bit out of the way. Was facing the back of the restaurant, so only one diner could see and enjoy the space and ambience. It would have been nicer to have a side table for 2. also, would be great to have some lactose free dessert options"

I'm not a huge fan of the booth/table seating in the back...it is kind of squishy and every time you get up its hard to not to bump a neighboring table. Damn. Cuchillio never disappoints us ! The service is great , attentive but laid back which I like! 10 golden Estrellas!!!"

  • "I heard great things about the delicious tapas, so we made a reservation 2weeks in advance. Its quite a busy joint. I loved the huge warm space for guests to wait and the I loved the rustic feel. There were 3 of us, so we shared the jerk chicke tacos, lamb and popcorn tacos, pulled duck tacos, corn bread with chilli butter, yuca fries. Our favorites were the duck and lamb tacos..so tasty. The service was fantastic. The prices were fairly reasonable. We sat towards the end of the restaurant and had lots of space, however walking through the center of the room was very congested. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone."

Service was attentive I effort was made to explain the dishes & ensure the diner had a really good time. The only drawback is the lack of ability to reserve at peak times 7-8pm on weekends when 1/2 the restaurant is given over to "drop-ins" we have tried to reserve for a party of 4 on Friday evenings since our 1st time at the restaurant & during peak time there is no availability. We have to "drop-in" which doesn't work for us as some of our party travels up from Bellingham. Otherwise we loved Cuchillo mucho!"

As well as having a wonderful meal,I was very impressed with the high level of knowledge regarding food and Celiac disease. I have celiac disease and felt 100% confident that the food I was receiving was gluten free. That was because our server totally understood the serious issues surrounding gluten and celiac disease. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate eating at a restaurant when I know there is a high level of knowledge surrounding celiac disease and the food they are serving. Thank you Cuchillo's"

  • "Waited a long time for our 9:15 table as the boisterous 7:15 crowd stayed and stayed. Who can blame them. Great flavourful and interesting dishes and drinks. We over-ordered as were hungry. The prawns amazing as well as the pulled pork. One dessert item, but that is all they need as it was enough for two and completely devine. Owner ensured we were taken care of with a drink on the house."

Both were well presented, especially the bison, which was layered on top of a crispy cauliflower pancake. I felt the food needed just a tad more seasoning. Prices are a bit over the top for the location and the amount of food on the plate. Service was outstanding!"

Also cocktails were excellent! The only thing I would say as a personal preference the server talked way too much and didn't wait for our questions instead told us things before we asked. I think friendly service is important but keep it professional. Can't wait to go back!"
