This was not our first time visiting Cuba Libre. The food is delicious, the drinks are great, and the music and scene are vibrant. However, this was the first time we noticed how small their portions have become. The size of their chicharonne sampler, for example, was surprising with only two tiny pieces of each type of meat (3) to share. Most notably, however, was their churascco, which should always be a suitable size for an average man and, this time, left the two in our group looking for something extra. This should not be the case for the most expensive meal choice on the menu.

I enjoyed this Cuba Libre location far more than the Washington DC location. Same excellent Cuban-style cuisine with a bit of flair. Same perfectly mixed cocktails...mojitos a specialty. This location stood out for the great service we received from the moment we arrived. Our server was knowledgeable about both the food and bar menus and would have been able to assist anybody with choosing a great meal whether or not they were familiar with Cuban food. Also a great value...nothing overpriced.

Have been going to Cuba Libre for 5- 7 yrs. Servers and managment are friendly and helpful. If you are not familiar with Cuban food they take the time to explain the dishes. We like the style of food and the mojitos are the best. The warm bread and mango butter are our favorite. My DH and his bro had the sirloin steak and loved it. I had the shrimp(which Ive had before) and think it is very flavorful. Will definately return when in the AC area

The service was good. The waiter was polite. My wife had the seafood paella but found it too salty. Everything else about the food we ordered was OK. I thought the seating was too bunched together so there was no privacy. We had two couples next to us so close we could hear everybody's conversation. The drinks were very good and the menu was very diverse.

The service was good, the host was gracious, the wait staff was attentive. I am Cuban so I have high standards for Cuban food at restaurants. Very few restaurants can beat or match grandma's cooking, but the flavor of the food was good. However, it is totally overpriced for the portion. I also live in an area highly populated by Cuban people and Cuban restaurants. I could easily get a much better Cuban meal for much less in my neighborhood. If they want to keep those prices then their portions should be a bit more generous. The portion was perfect for me and my guests, but if they prefer to keep those portions then they need to lower their prices. One or the other.

We've been coming to Cuba Libre every year for our anniversary and it never disappoints! The food is always delicious and the staff is friendly. The wine list is decent too. The place is big and can get noisy, but there is an upstairs which is more quiet. This is my favorite place in the Tropicana

My husband and I ate here on a Saturday night and the dining experience was very enjoyable. The food choices were interesting due to the Cuban influence and my salmon and my husband's brisket were very tasty. We also had the chip appetizer, caramel ice cream and a rum coffee drink. All were outstanding. Our server also added to the experience with his excellent service.

The food at Cuba Libre was delicious. The afternoon was started with Tapas consisting of tostones and mussels. The main entree was the arroz con pollo served in an old style mini cooking pot. Generous chunks of chicken with rice and just enough peppers in the meal. While there selection of beers was not that impressive they have just enough of a selection to enjoy your meal with. I would definitely recommend this place as a stop if your in Atlantic City area.

I was extremely impressed by the food selection and the overall appearance. The waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful in choosing between 2 dishes and I was very satisfied by the recommendation of a traditional dish. The food was outstanding and by far the best Cuban dish I've tried. The Guacamole was out of this world and pulled pork on mash potatoes with coleslaw was impressive. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

The old Havana decor is fun. The beef empanadas were great, flavorful and crisp, not too greasy. The chicken ones were a bit bland but the dipping sauce helped. The arepa rellena was very tasty as were the mussels. The vaca frita flank steak was overcooked and tough and the fried rice was not very good. The drinks were great as was the service. I would go again.

Mojitos were so good as was the guacamole appetizer. Both of our dinners exceeded our already high expectations & I even finished mine which I normally never do. I wanted an after dinner drink (a shot of rum) and asked the waitress to bring something she recommended. Can't explain how good it was....warm & sweet! It's from Bermuda. She even wrote down the name of it for me! We will definitely go back.

Had a three course meal and out of all the items only the dessert was ok. The one good thing was that the manager was understanding and comped one of the meals. I would not return to this restaurant unless they adjust the salt levels of the meals. It felt like they dunked the entire meal in salt.

We dined at Cuba Libra on Labor Day weekend and enjoyed our meal. We started with a pitcher of classic Mojito for the table of 4 - refreshing and different! I ordered Lechón Asado (pulled pork) which was yummy. 2 of our members had the fish and loved it. The 4th had the Mango Mojito Shrimp. We all enjoyed our meals and there were no left overs. The atmosphere was nice looking out into the restaurant. The service was good. We walked around Tropicana following dinner. You can use the receipt from dinner and get back in for the night club without a cover.

Despite being a small chain restaurant, Cuba Libre has managed to create a wonderful menu of pan-latin foods that are well-prepared, nicely presented, and absolutely delicious. We had the chef's tasting dinner consisting of several appetizers, several small entrees, and 2 small desserts (the flan is amazing). We are picky diners, and I have to say everything was just cooked perfectly. The decor is fun and engaging, the drink menu is great, and it's all worth every penny. Can't wait to go back!

daughter & I thought we'd try "someplace different" for early night out in AC. We'd read that this was a lively place with authentic cuban food & drinks. Disappointed in our table (corner near the bathrooms/no view of the relaxing palm leaf fans or other diners). So ordered a mojito & sangria & hoped that the evening would get energized quickly. The cuban guacamole w/ pineapple came w/ crispy wavy strips of plantain, perfect for 2 hungry warrior women. But the 1 & 1/2 oz empanadas (waiter Guillermo explained thats how "big" they were ) were not worth $11. Foodie junior loved the vaca frita while I tried the arroz con pollo. It was cuban comfort food. Not sure we'll return. Note:waiter kept touching me(arm, shoulder, hand)very CREEPY!

We were surprised how very good the food, service and ambiance was at Cuba Libre. The food was as good as any Hudson County Cuban, really tasty and a great variety of other latin foods and american foods with latin flavors. The decor was very 1950's cuban-esque, ala Guys and Dolls. The svc was attentive and helpful, most especially the waiter who served the food: he made sure everyone knew individually what they were eating, how it was prepared and checked that we were satisfied with what we ordered. The dance music was appropriately loud but the ability to dance a bit after dinner was great. You may remain in the club though after dinner but cannot hold the table so note this. Latin downstairs, club upstairs - nice.

My husband and I dined at Cuba Libre this weekend. The food was authentic and delicious. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, in spite of the sold out tables on a Saturday night. Ambience was lacking as we were seated at a table for two, with tables on either side of us with only inches to spare making it impossible to engage in conversation without overhearing others. Also, the very small table was up against a wall, so that was my view of the restaurant. If we go again, I would choose to eat at the bar rather than sit at one of those tiny tables for two without a view.
