Our esteemed Chef has combined his great knowledge of fusion cooking – expertly and tastefully blending the flavours and spices of the West Coast with those of Europe and Asia. The result is an elegantly simple menu offering a cornucopia of flavour and a range of memorable dishes.
The new menu also celebrates and reflects our city’s diversity in following the European and Asian traditions of sharing plates (and with price points that are a bit easier to digest).

  • "We actually only eat here for Sunday Brunch, which it seems to focus its energies on. The food is reliably good--bordering on very good--and we come for that reason alone. What's changed over time is a slight narrowing of focus on what's offered, and a routine-ness that can't be avoided when you've offered the same thing for so long. We'll come back and enjoy ourselves, and wonder if maybe we haven't got an experience that has lost its novelty for a premium price. First-timers will have a different experience: If you haven't had brunch here yet, I strongly recommend it. Note: We started coming to Hilton Brunch when we were first married; now we drag a couple of noisy kids with us ... we're still accommodated handily. It's worth noting this."

  • "Our family went for fathers day brunch at the 10:30 am sitting. I saw raw oysters and excited to have some. After we got our drinks, it was finally food time! Much to our dismay, all the oysters were gone. Thought it no big deal, we'll just grab other foods first and wait for it to be refilled. It was never did. There were spot prawns as well but they were usually gone after 3 or 4 people got to it. There was also a chocolate fountain, they ran out of the wooden sticks early and people were using their used forks to dip their fruits (which tool a long time to be refilled)....and little kids were using their fingers. Pretty unsanitary. Our server spent most of her time working on a notepad. Drinks were rarely refilled and plates piled up"

  • "buffet not exciting! items were made in bulk and piled on.... no 'love", no special touch, its a buffet for a sake of a buffet, being a Hilton, i expected much more higher standard..... mussels tossed in sweet thai chilli sauce - WOW! SO BORING!! Hand written food tags was "classy"....... I am not trying to be a cruel critic but just being straight forward......lots of room to improve."

  • "We greatly appreciated that Reflect expanded seating to the ballroom--it gave us, and a lots of others--an opportunity to enjoy their excellent buffet. We liked having the expanded dessert bar set up--jars of candies for the kids, cookies and other desserts for adults. And then there was the expected brunch buffet which Reflect has proven time and again to be great at. The food was worth every penny: no member of our party was unhappy with the quality of the food (and availability). Loved the fresh eggs bene & sliced meats, not to mention fantastic selection of salads and cold meats. But the music was a miss: We didn't need to hear Muzak versions of Beatles favourites at loud volume. Ditch that for future, and we'll be happy to come back."

  • "I've been here for their Sunday brunch buffet and it wasn't bad but the Mother's Day Buffet, situated inside the Crystal ballroom, definitely blew me over the water. The service was excellent first of all. Second, the quality and variety of food was absolutely perfect. My Mom had such a great time that she wants to come back for Father's Day buffet brunch, if they have one. Good job Hilton staff, really appreciated the attentive service given it was super busy."

  • "We were there for Easter Brunch. We attend Sunday brunch on a regular basis and this was somewhat disappointing. There were too many Asian seafood dishes. It was not balanced. While they had ham and roast beef there were no potatoes or vegetables to go with it. It seems like they decided to throw out more Asian dishes and not compliment what they already had. If they keep doing this I will need a new brunch spot. Chow mein doesn't go with ham or roast beef. "

  • "Went to Reflect for dinner. Decided to share some small plates. The place was super quiet. The food list is quite limited. For a Hilton, I would expect a much more interesting menu. The food was OK but nothing special."

  • "Went here for a 2nd time on Valentine's Day. It just reinforced the disappointing experience from the 1st time. Our waiter was polite but had little personality. The food looked good on paper: 4 coarse meal. The soup and salad were good. The short rib was more like a piece of stewed meat. The lobster had little flavor, a little dry, and no butter to dip it in. The mashed potatoes were excellent! Our waiter never gave us a wine list never asked if we wanted anything other than water, so we didn't bother ordering drinks. This was a big miss IMO. We ordered a dessert trio, our waiter couldn't tell us what they were other than "three desserts"... which I had already gathered. 1 of 3 was very good: Cheese cake. Other 2, not so much."

  • "Booked our Valentine's Day dinner at Reflect weeks in advance. $8 to park, parking not on same street as address, 15 minutes driving around looking for parking entrance. Called and woman gave us incorrect address. Long trek from parking to restaurant. No coat check. Tables are super squished and small. Restaurant looks like it used to be a wide hallway in the hotel. Ignored by waiters for 20 minutes - not even a beverage request. Finally just left. Same woman who seated us asked how dinner was! A disaster of a Valentine's Dinner. Extremely disappointed. Set menu was $55 per person - no idea whether it was worth it or not."

  • "As a return customer, I was rather disappointed this time around. My favorite mushroom risotto turned out extreeeeeemely salty and inedible. It had to be returned. I was afraid to order the same entrée only to have it be overly salty again so I decided to try their lamb. My heart sank in deep disappointment as I bit into the dry morsel. The overcooked lamb tasted like it had been sitting in a buffet heater for hours and then recooked....it was THAT dry!!! I didn't bother notifying our server of yet another disappointing entrée. I just ate the sides and won't bother returning to Reflect again. Quite sad as they featured spectacular entrees before. *shakes head*"

  • "We found the food excellent in a quite setting making it easy to talk. We reviewed their main menu and found it lacking in any exciting options however our meal that was laid out for this promotion was excellent. We spoke to the waiter and he informed us that the chef would take orders not on main menu with a days warning. The meal was well worth the charge and we will return."

  • "My friend and I came here for DineOut Vancouver and we got seated at a window table. However, looking out the window failed to provide a view of the city as there was a concrete balcony wall obstructing the view. The restaurant was pretty empty too, unknown if because it was a Monday night, or if the restaurant itself wasn't that popular. I ordered the House Cured Salmon for my appetizer. That wasn't too bad except the salmon itself was a little too overpowering in taste and covered the taste of the coriander and yuzu aioli in the dish. Next came the Slow Braised Boneless Shortrib; this was an okay dish but the meat was a little dry in the middle. the dessert was delicious but I could not taste the sea salt that it so claimed to have."

  • "I decided to try Reflect Social Dining + Lounge with my BF through Dine Out Vancouver. We made a reservation for late in the evening. The place was a lot smaller than I had envisioned and only one person on staff (serving). The guy serving us was nice and friendly. Lighting was nice, not too low, I could actually see my food. The ambient music wasn't loud or distracting but my BF found it made him a little drowsy. I was fine with it. As for the food, it was alright. The appetizers and entrees were fine but nothing outstanding to us. My entree was supposed to only have seafood but had sausage and our waiter apologized and offered me something else. I declined but appreciated the offer. Dessert I liked a lot. Overall, I had a good time."

  • "This restaurant is somewhat hard to find, on the 3rd floor of the Hilton Burnaby. Helpfully, they have valet parking. It was not busy for a Friday night, probably reflecting that the hotel was not very full on a January weekend. Despite that, everything about our meal was perfect. There is a good selection on the menu, and the service was attentive but not overbearing. We were also very impressed with the wine list. This restaurant is perfect if you are looking for a quiet, delicious meal in elegant surroundings."

  • "I like the restaurant, it's not so intimidating, I considered the place classy and casual at the same time. We had a Christmas brunch and the food and service was great. We had our Christmas brunch on Dec 25th; the next day I got an email advising me that I missed my reservation. The guy forgot to check out my name. Next time, please make sure that you don't blame your customers for your employees' error. Overall, I will recommend this place because the price is reasonable,the food and service were impressive!"

  • "We have been dining at Reflect for a few years and have never been disappointed with the food. It really is an oasis in the Metrotown area with no blaring music or TV. One can actually converse with your dining companion(s). Cecelia, the hostess, is an absolute delight and makes everyone feel comfortable and welcome. We hosted an anniversary dinner at Reflect in 2012 and all our guests were very pleased with the food and the service."

  • "We were regular customers of the Crystal (before they change the name to Reflect) . We have not been eating there for quite a while until yesterday. The re-visit is no good. Service is still good. The waitress still recognized us. However, I do not like the new menu. We prefer the old Crystal menu."

  • "First off, I must say that this restaurant is very attractive, a far step up from the usual hotel dining room But, it was completely empty at 7:00 PM on a Saturday night! We were the only customers for the whole time we were there! The outdoor dining patio was pleasant with a view of the buildings around Metrotown Mall. Interesting but not scenic. The staff were friendly and attentive, but were not well versed on the menu items. The Amuse-Bouche was outstanding, the Monkfish excellent and the sides very good. On the other hand, the Lamb Shank was tough and fatty. It has an excellent Chef, a great staff, a very good menu, a superb ambiance and a convenient location. It SHOULD all combine to make a wonderful restaurant, but it doesn't."

I’ve dined here twice now and wouldn’t hesitate to return in the future if an occasion arises.   • "There was a crowd gathered around the entrance when we got there but they called our party‘s name early as we had made reservations. We didn’t have to wait in line too long for our food. The food was good and our waiter was very attentive. The tables were tight as people moved around us. The french toast with bananas and strawberries was my favourite - yummy."

And (not a fault of the restaurant), given the calibre of this restaurant it is always sad to see customers come in with jeans, T-shirts and ball caps.   • "I made the reservation on mother's day at 12.30 pm. Arrived there at 12.25 pm and already saw many poeple waiting near the reception. The waiter said we need to wait few minutes for table set up. However, more and more people came and just kept waiting outside the ball room with no indication when the tables are ready. Our group patiently waited half hour and decided to give up as this kind of service is totally not acceptable. I felt bad to my wife as we supposed to enjoy a buffet lunch on mother's day. I won't recommend the restaurant for such big event as they don't show professional at all."

  • "We had a group of all ages and this was very suitable for them. To start with, the restaurant is nicely laid out and tastefully decorated; seating is very comfortable with big chairs. The service was very attentive and the menu was diverse. We particularly enjoyed the wild salmon. The restaurant is quiet and that was good for us, as one of the guests was hard-of-hearing and they actually could participate in the conversation, as a result. We will definitely return; the meal was a great success."

Our dishes (cod & steaks) were all over cooked. On the menu, it said they will add gratitude to party of 8 or more. We only have 6 but gratitude was added without telling us! I'll not go back there!"

Parking is free at Crystal Mall but finding the restaurant on the upper floors is a bit unconventional but it nice if you want a place to talk over dinner and not have to shout.   • "I have been twice in the last month and it was ok both times (6/10). The sambel squid alone would make me go back. It is incredible. Prawns and Duck wrap were also good. For entree, I had the lamb and was happy with it (8/10). The steak on the other hand was AWFUL. There was more fat on that piece of meat than actual clean meat(to be fair, the potatoes, sauce and eatible parts of the steak were good). Our server was ok. I didn't really notice a problem but my girlfriend used to be a server at an upscale place and she was not impressed....and the steak was her meal so her experience wasnt very good overall. Like my title says. It is better than average, but I would not go out of my way to go back again (unless I am really craving squid)"
