We had dinner on a Saturday night
and enjoyed ourselves very much. The menu had good variety, and the food was well prepared and attractive, but overpriced."

Fabulous food, excellent menu
selection, no kids, civil diners who know how to dress and act - a first class, relaxing, gourmet dining for the discriminating palette."

Beginning with the Manager, the
food and service at the Crystal Room was simply top shelf. In fact, it was so wonderful that we ate there a second night in a row with different selections but excellent service once again. A good value and a pleasant memory!"

Great palace for elegant evening.
The service was very professional and the setting was sophisticated and warn. The menu was small but still offered a diverse number of choices. The wine list was not extensive but did have a good variety of prices and countries. Started with the lobster bisque and tagliatelle with fava beans – both tasty and well presented. As for the entrees, the duck melted in our mouths and bacon wrapped veal was tasty and hearty. Our children joined us for dinner, the staff was very accommodating and went out of their way to see they enjoyed the experience as well. Overall The Crystal Room exceeded our expectations, especially for a hotel restaurant."

This restaurant was not bad and
the service was excellent, but the food was very expensive and we did not really think it was worth it."
Dined on 2/7/2014
I started with the Heirloom Tomato
salad that was scrumptious, not too heavy on the delicious lemon-infused vinegerrate dressing, had some wonderful greens with it, sweet pearl onions, and was just wonderful. For my main dish, I had the Seabass that also was delicious, BUT, the flavor and integrity of the fish was somewhat hidden and smothered by a very rich cream based sauce that was on the bottom of the plate, mixed with some fancy mushrooms (not sure what type). When I went to take a bite of the fish, it got caught up in the sauce underneath and it was a little too rich for me. It also came with some broccolini that was layered all around the fish that also was a little muted by the rich sauce flavor and had a fried potato pancake."

My husband had the filet which you
could cut with a fork and the scallops. He really enjoyed his whole meal which is not an easy task. I had the duck which was excellant wasn't crazy about the bread pudding. Not sure if you can substitue but next time I'll ask."

Dined in the Crystal Room at
Bedford Springs on New Years eve. Two couples and we all ordered the special Prix Fixe 5 course meal which was exceptional. Service matched the meal with very personable wait staff. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Bedford Springs itself is possibly one of the most interesting resorts in the eastern U.S. with a very detailed history which is well documented throughout. It should be considered a "must see" vacation destination if even just for one day."
Dined on 12/31/2013
Dinner was okay. The service was
as well, although they were very friendly and good with the kids. I would recommend it as a pleasant evening."
Dined on 12/26/2013
The service wasn't friendly and
the food was cold and lack flavor. I had the lamb chops. The onion soup needed help the desert menu didn't have anything I could recommend. I've had brunch here before and I think I will stick to that."
Dined on 12/25/2013
We've been frequenting the Bedford
Springs several years for the Christmas buffet and this was the first time it was in held in The Crystal Dining Room. While a lovely atmosphere, it was very un-spacious, meaning the tables were cramped and it felt like a maze to find your way to the buffet. Previous years it was held upstairs and the feeling was roomy and comfortable. Service was very good when present. While the food was good, the selection and quality seems to be diminishing each year. The salads were fresh and the dressing very nice although not labeled. Trout, vegetables, potatoes, bacon and sausages, as well as beef that was so tough you only wanted one piece as the butter knife was no match for the medium rare jerky."
Dined on 12/25/2013
As good a meal as we have had in
many years, including those in traditionally more sophisticated food venues. The meal was beautifully prepared, perfectly seasoned and cooked, and timely presented. The service was outstanding. In Bedford Springs, PA of all places!!! Highly recommend as a getaway meal by yourselves or with a small group."

This is our 4 th visit, and we
love the feel of this restaurant . I always have the spring onion soup, amazing, I also always order the duck, but forget how I can never finish it as it is so very very rich and sweet .So I will be trying something else next visit. The elderberry gluten free( I am not!)- cheesecake was fabulous. The service can be a little rushed, so next time we will ask to slow it down a little"
Dined on 12/7/2013
The service and the food were both
excellent. The food was nicely presented, but I was dismayed to find a gravy or meat juice stain on the tablecloth right in front of me. This is something that should not be acceptable at such an upscale resort and at the prices we were paying for our dinner. This is a small, but very important detail."
Dined on 11/27/2013
we were there for our anniversary,
normally we go to nemacolin, which has our room set up with a bottle of wine or champagne, but friends recommended we try Bedford springs, the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed for the nite, so we went to the crystal dining room, first they had a limited menu, we ordered the heirloom tomato app, I was expecting more than one slice of an heirloom tomato and a couple grape tomatoes, let alone cocktail onions, we had striped bass, (very fishy tasting ) and I had the salmon, which I think was a frozen piece of fish, it needed a sauce of some sort because it was dry, we'll try the resort again but defineitly not that restaurant"
Dined on 11/24/2013
The food was fabulous...steak
melts in your mouth. The wait staff is very attentive but not annoying. It is a little louder in this restaurant because they have an open kitchen, but it wasn't overwhelming. The room itself is just beautiful...very tastefully decorated. This was one of the best meals I've had in a long time!"
Dined on 11/22/2013
A wonderful restaurant in a
beautiful resort. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Crystal Dining Room. The food was delicious. We had the duck breast and the striped bass. Both were cooked perfectly with the accompanying sauces adding depth to the overall flavors. Service was good. The wine list offers a nice selection. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary with a weekend at the Bedford Spring Spa and the entire experience was wonderful. We'll be back - both to the Crystal Dining Room and the hotel."

Dining at the Crystal Dining Room
does not dissappoint! The innovative food selections are always delicious. The service is wonderful. Our dining experience only enhances our total weekend girls spa get-away."

I ordered your filet dinner which
was cooked to perfection. The reduction sauce makes my mouth water tinking about it."

Our visit to the Crystal room was
directly related to our stay at the Omni Bedford Springs. Was it a good meal? Yes. Would we search out this restaurant if we weren't staying as guests at the hotel? No. The service was GREAT, the food was good, but we felt the prices were higher than they should have been. The prices obviously reflect the fact that there is no other competition for the Crystal Room other than it's sister restaurant 1796 Room that's also at the Omni so menu prices can be set high. In the end, the Crystal Room is a romantic place to dine while visiting the Omni Bedford Springs Resort."
Dined on 10/26/2013
We had excellent service. The food
was 5 star. I will go back as soon as I am in the Bedford area."
Dined on 9/23/2013
We both had salads, entrees and
deserts. Each item was prepared with care, imagination and delicious ingredients. The service was efficient and unobtrusive. All in all a very pleasant, enjoyable dinner. We look forward to visiting the Crystal Room again."
Dined on 9/23/2013
From the moment we stepped into
the Crystal Room, our experience was exquisite. The service, food and ambiance of the Crystal Room left us feeling special, pampered and sated our appetites with the tastes that lingered on the palate. The use of local, fresh ingredients does not go unnoticed and the heirloom tomato salad with watercress had a nice tang and our main entrees (filet mignon with morel dusted scallops and bacon wrapped veal) were prepared perfectly and to our specifications. Everything about the Crystal Room is first class. Can't wait to go back and try other offerings."
Dined on 9/21/2013
The Crystal Room never
disappoints. The food, wine, service and ambience are outstanding. Best meal we have since our last visit to the Crystal Room! We love the Bedford Springs Resort, and the Crystal Room is just one of the may reasons. We can't wait to return."

This was our first time to the
Bedford Springs and the Crystal Room. The breakfast buffet is $22 and does not require reservations. It was very good. We went at about 10:00 AM. It was pretty full but the service was attentive. You can order ala carte if you like as well. The buffet included scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, french toast, breakfast potatoes, pastries, fruit, oatmeal, cereal, and breads. A beverage is also included in the buffet. The french toast was very good. YUM! It was good even without maple syrup. The decor was similar to the decor throughout the hotel but of course this room had crystal chandeliers. The tables and chairs were simple but elegant. I would highly recommend the Crystal Room for breakfast."
Dined on 8/25/2013
We were guests of the hotel and
the restaurant was recommended to us. It was good but expensive. They were not able to locate the wine I had ordered, Pinot Grigio. I order a reisling instead. My husband ordered salmon which was dry. We were definitely better satisified with the other restaurant, 1792, the next night than this one."
Dined on 8/26/2013
The meal was good. The menu
doesn't change, no daily specials. The 1796 is the better restuarant of the two at the resort. The staff is probably the friendliest I have ever met. I would return. The bread and butter was fabulous."
Dined on 8/23/2013
I don't always dine inside hotels
where I'm staying, but the Crystal Dining Room at the Omni Bedford was a pleasant experience. Priced as most higher end establishments are. Took my young kids--who were treated great--and had a reasonable kids menu to order off. There was a nice tasting item from the chef to start things off, and excellent breads from the bakery. I had the duck entrée and the tuna appetizer--both very good. There is an even higher end place on the property--but no kids--so that was not an option. But I've found the dining at the Omni Bedford excellent."
Dined on 8/20/2013
You can see your meal in progress
but only if you sit close to the entrance. Food good but, excepting the amusee bouche, not creative. If you want a romantic dinner, choose the 1796 room next door. If you have well-behaved children in your party, the Crystal room is the restaurant of choice because they are child-friendly."

We had a 7:15pm reservation.
Seated promptly . Dining room is great to see and be in. We got two beers promptly but the rest of us had to wait more than 15 minutes for two shirley temples for a 6 and 9 year old and two glasses of wine. Our appetizers arrived 30 minutes after we sat down as did the fish and chips children's meal for our 6 year old. By 8:15 the waitress brought our 9 year old her lobster bisque. She had apologized to the table about the delay at least three times. Finally around 8:25 all main entrees appeared served and presented and wonderful to eat. We are not certain what happened but selected for the next two nights to dine locally in Bedford. Had excellent meals at two new resturants."
Dined on 8/14/2013
The waitress was prompt and happy
at first. Trouble started when the cheese platter we ordered at 7pm was suddenly unavailable because they ran out of cheese! Next thing you know the waitress isn't coming by much and the manager is checking on us. We eventually did get some cheese even if it wasn't what was exactly on the menu. In the meantime, tables that sat and ordered after us were getting food and we weren't even though we ordered other appetizers and soup and salad. Then it took a long time to get the main meal with no apologies from any staff for the wait. We were there about 2 1/2 hours. Then the waitress called the room saying we forgot our free scones? She came up with a container of scones and half eaten bread. Weird!"
Dined on 8/11/2013
Our Meal was quite delicious, but
unfortunately the experience was dampened but a particularly poor server. Ordered a bottle of wine, the server came back to say they were out and didn't offer any alternative. We asked about the oak content of another white wine (considerably more expensive)only to be told she had no idea, so we gave up and ordered the least expensive on the menu. She brought it, twisted off the top and literally filled our glasses just that once. She couldn't answer any of our questions about the menu and was not apologetic about any of it. Our displeasure was shown in our tip. (to be fair, the manager did offer us breakfast the next morning which was also tasty and the service was excellent)."
Dined on 8/12/2013
I have eaten here twice. I know it
is a resort so prices are inflated but I was not overly impressed with the menu and the price was too high for the quality of food. The service was good though. I will not be eating there a third time, there are better options there and close by."

We were there two years ago and
had a fabulous buffet. We were really looking forward to the buffet and found out you no longer serve the buffet. It was a great disappointment and spoiled the evening for us. The food we did have was good and presented well."

As with everything at the Bedford
Omni it was great!"

The Tuna Menage a Trois appetizer
was delightful...don't skip it!"

The Crystal room at bedford
springs resort is a first class gourmet restaurant that does not disappoint. Each of our meals, were delicious and were beautifully presented. The rack of lamb was as good as we have ever had anywhere. The pistachio encrusted duck breast was simply one of the best tasting meals, that I have ever enjoyed. When visiting Bedford Springs, I strongly encourage you to have dinner at the Crystal room"

My husband and I had a wonderful
meal at the Crystal room with great food and service. The water glasses were kept full, and they didn't wait to long to take our drink and food order. He started with the lobster bisque, and I the ceasar salad, both excellent. For a main, my husband ordered the bacon wrapped veal, and I ordered the chicken supreme. They did a very nice job with plate presentation. I was pleasantly surprised at how large the portions were. For dessert we had the ameretto chocolate cake. Needless to say, we left completely stuffed. The prices I felt were fair for the quality of the food, the preparation, and the ambiance. For the two of us the total bill was $110 before tip with the food mentioned above and a glass of wine."

We dined on filet mignon,
scallops, and polenta - all were excellent! We were seated right away based on our reservation. It seemed noisy at first, but then quieted down. Halfway through our meal, however, a wedding band began upstairs which we could definitely hear! It didn't ruin our time, but didn't add to it! I really enjoyed how the polenta was prepared (lots of peppers, arugula, sundries tomatoes) so I would recommend this restaurant for the delicious food!"
