Crush - SeattleRomance and Ambiance a-Go-GoGo to Crush for those Special Occasions. You'll be glad you did.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMBest food in SeattleI had not been to Crush for quite a while. We dropped in on a quiet Tuesday evening. It was fabulous. Slow paced, lots on personal attention and absolutely the best food I have enjoyed in Seattle (or elsewhere) in a long time. bravo!5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMeach time we dine here weeach time we dine here we have the chef's tasting menu. The creativity in blending of components is wonderful. Not everything is a home run, but most of it is. This meal, the Bacon & Eggs was just fantastic.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMToo expensiveCrush is an elegant restaurant with an interesting menu but two of the four main dishes we ordered were fair and both appetizers were very high priced for the minuscule size of the portions. Overall, the quality and small portion size did not match the high priced bill at the end.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding evening at CrushWe had a thoroughly enjoyable dinner at Crush. The servuce is outstanding; the staff is friendly engaging, informative about the food and drink, and has a knack of showing up at the table at all the right moments. We never felt rushed, but rather welcomed to spend most of the evening at the table. The food was fun, imaginative and delicious.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMMind blowing food, with wonderfulMind blowing food, with wonderful little touches, flavors, and surprising combinations.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMFANTASTIC!!!!!I have not enjoyed a dinner out like this in a very long time. The food was superb, unique, well presented and delicious. The service was exemplary. My friends and I had a wonderful time and can't recommend this gem enough.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMLummi Nation Halibut outstandingLummi Nation Halibut outstanding in preparation of morels/nettle sauce.

waitress even brought a little stool for my purse, a first.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGet there a few minutes earlyGet there a few minutes early and enjoy an excellent cocktail while sitting at the bar that overlooks the kitchen. The staff is friendly and the food is great. The drinks and desserts were especially notable.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMTook advantage of the $28Took advantage of the $28 menu since I've never been to Crush but heard only amazing things about the food. Unfortunately Crush did what a few participating restaurants do - think hotel catered fish and vegetables. Since there was three of us we each ordered one of the three items from the three course menu. The carrot soup had no taste of carrot but rather processed metal, the(heavily) moroccan spiced califlower was well heavily over spiced, and the risotto was not good at all. We like cocktails and wine which were fabulous, and fully expected the $80/person tab but anticipated more effort in the food. The service staff is amazing!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMLisa's party hat birthday! It was my birthday. The staff was very attentive to our needs. They all took part in making me feel special. It was a memorable evening.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMLet me say this restaurantLet me say this restaurant is on point with customer service. I will say anyone attending the place will not be disappointed. I had a late dinner planned with friends and also ended up staying pass closing. The staff were polite and did not rush us one bit in our dinner or conversations. An elegant place and the food was amazing. I highly recommend Crush!4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and amazing service.Great food and amazing service. Went for dinner during Seattle restaurant week and it was definitely worth the trip!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMVavavoomMy husband and I have been to Crush several times. Crush manages the art of great food and wonderful cocktails.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went for Restaurant WeekWe went for Restaurant Week and the selection was great. We also ordered the octopus appetizer, which was nicely done. The service could have been more attentive, but overall the restaurant exceeded expectations. Each course was well executed. The curry carrot soup was creamy and had just the right amount of spices. The Corvina I had was cooked beautifully, and the panna cotta was a refreshing finish. I would go back!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMCrsh is all it claims to beExceptional. Food, service and ambiance. Definitely a destination for a special meal.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFood isn't all that matters! Our party was seated and afterwords we found that all the women before us and after us were given a side table to place their purses on instead of the floor. We were not. Very interesting...guess the purse I had didn't ooze of wealth like the others did.
Our wait staff woman was fine but not overly friendly, she seemed a little frazzled...actually all of the staff did and they seemed to nip at each other. Must have been an off night for them...they did seem to be WAY busy.
TERRIBLE PARKING....all on the street and just not a good situation. Need to remove curtains from front room dinning, makes it very4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAs wonderful as it seemsIt is required that you make a reservation for this place as it is often packed. The ambiance is quaint and romantic. My girlfriend and I decided to go for Seattle Restaurant week. The menu had choices between three set dishes for three different courses. 1st course the Carrot curried soup and the 2nd course was corvina (fish) for the entree. The fish was covered in a light dressing. Both courses were cooked perfectly and the variation in flavors were paired well and were also well thought out. The final course was a peanut butter bar with chocolate ice cream. Unique but just right. They recommend wines for every dish. Each of their recommendations were spot on. I highly recommend this place. Entrees range from $22-344/11/2013 12:00:00 AMOur party thoroughly enjoyedOur party thoroughly enjoyed the whole dining experience. The ambiance was simple yet elegant. Staff were attentive without being overly inquiring, efficient without rushing the customer. Drinks and food were expertly prepared and just beautifully presented. We each are eager to return for another fine dinner.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall, most of our dinnersOverall, most of our dinners were great. There were four of us.
One person at our table had the pork and it was very dry. The man at the next table told us his pork was dry. Our fish croquettes were very good. The cauliflower appetizer was fabulous. My husband's carrot soup was very good but a tiny portion. All the desserts were great.
Wonderful staff4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Dinner, Crush!A superb dining experience! April's Seattle Restaurant Week menu is a wonderful time to return to Crush for a 3-course menu. I had the roasted cauliflower appetizer, my husband the rabbit liver mousse. Both were marvelous, although I must admit to coveting my hubby's mousse. The cauliflower was cooked to perfection, browned and served with the aioli. Me - the pork trio (loin, cheeks, and belly) and finished every last bite! Hubby had the salmon and scallop cake with stinging nettles. LOVED the nettles, first time I had tried them. They were prepared with a bit of cream sauce.
Dessert -- I had the peanut cake with chocolate ice cream, just the right amoung of sweet to finish the meal. Hubby loved the cheese. We will return.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMI took my girlfriend out forI took my girlfriend out for dinner on her birthday and honestly, I was surprised by how good the experience was. We both tried new food, which was perfectly made to perfection.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAfter hearing great thingsAfter hearing great things about Crush, my fiance and I decided to try it out for a little celebration dinner. The food and service were great! Will recommend it to others.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMJason Wilson is one of theJason Wilson is one of the best chefs in Seattle. And one of the nicest, too. We have been to Crush many times over the last few years and it has always been wonderful. Highly recommended.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMCreative food with a realCreative food with a real masterful chef- you can even watch them working in the kitchen! Great ambience and the servers go above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful experience3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMService was exceptional.Service was exceptional. The bartender concocted a drink for me despite it not being on the menu. I enjoyed the entire tasting menu...a little on the salty side on a few of the dishes, but still very good. The staff was very attentive and informative. I would definitely repeat.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food but a dark side...I loved the ambiance of Crush. I thought the service was great. I loved the bread. It is on the pricier side, but I'm very happy to pay for the care and quality. I would like to continue to patronize and recommend Crush. However, I cannot. I would not recommend Crush because of its excessive use of Foie gras. Foie gras is well known to be a very cruel food -- a duck is force fed for 12–18 days by shoving a metal tube down it's delicate throat and pumping corn in till its liver is engorged, and then killing it. A torture food. Foie gras has been banned in a number of EU nations, Turkey, and Israel. California bans it and violators receive a $1000 fine. Crush is a tasteful, quality and eclectic place, but sadly with a dark menu.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMNice for a special eveningCame here for a friend's birthday dinner. Nice atmosphere, dark, quiet, cozy and elegant but not uptight. The wine list overwhelmed me (others would love this I'm sure!), so we went with individual glasses of wine. The Tidepools appetizer was excellent, as was the cheese sampling ($25 may seem a little steep for cheese but it was worth it). They provided gluten-free biscuits on request (sadly the crostini with the cheeses had no gluten-free substitute). The beef short rib, their signature dish, was fantastic, including the seared layered potato. I was disappointed that they were out of the monkfish, but the scallops were truly excellent. Portions were good, and waitstaff knowledgable, friendly, and attentive.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely wonderful, as alwaysExquisite food, smooth teamwork by the gracious and wonderful staff.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMI Love everything about Crush!I Love everything about Crush! It is a great place for a romantic dinner or a special occasion. The service was excellent and the dishes were well timed. The food tasting menu was a little pricey but well worth the money. It allowed us to taste a variety of delicious food without feeling overly full at the end. I still can't stop thinking about the bacon and eggs dish. The chef accommodated my multiple allergies with no hesitation and never once did my dishes feel they were lacking in creativity and taste. We will be back to Crush!3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMSuperb food and great service.Superb food and great service. When an appetizer we ordered arrived, we noticed it had shrimp. Since my wife is allergic to shrimp we mentioned it to the server. Even though the item description included shrimp (we hadn't noticed it), she immediately went back to the kitchen and had a version made up that just contained crab and ravioli. No charge, no fuss, just great service then and for the rest of the meal. Highly recommended for a romantic or special dinner.3/8/2013 12:00:00 AM
