Diner Reviews
  • "Crush 29 hasn't disappointed me the several times I've been. I ordered the lamb and I would definitely order it again."

  • "We dined at Crush 29 when it first opened, several years ago. It was great the first visit, but upon return 6 months later, it seemed more focused on the "bar scene" than the food. We gave it another try and the food was very good! The rack of lamb was cooked perfectly and was a very generous portion. My daughter and I shared the prime rib, and we were both full afterward. The pear and fig salad was also great, nice light pear vinaigrette dressing. The prawn appetizer was enjoyed by everyone at the table...would order it again for sure. Service was slow but we were not in any hurry and enjoyed the leisurely Saturday night dinner."

  • "A repeat visit. Very nice with very good food. Early reservation (5PM). good service. Wine list not cheap. $116.00 for two including drinks, wine and tip."

  • "The restaurant had no more specials and no chicken dishes by 6pm. This place has gone so downhill."

  • "I dined there with my realtor to celebrate my house sale. I had been there before and had a great time This time the service was absolutely terrible. The waitress forgot our drinks, we had to ask the bus person to get the waitress to get us our drinks and then it still took about 10 minutes just to get a drink. No one was happy with the service. Hopefully it was a one time bad service experience."

  • "We took our neighbors to dinner at. crush 29. I made reservations on Open Table which was convenient. We had excellent service and the food was delicious and well presented. The prices are reasonable and the choices are good. We will definitely be returning in the future."

  • "Service was pretty good, but food was really blah. I had tuna and husband had steak. The main was good but sides just ok. Disappointed."

  • "Highly recommend sweet Jalapeno Martini....Amazing! Food was good, and service was good. Music was too loud and temperate was freezing!"

  • "We enjoyed a night out with two other couples. There are a few things that keep me coming back to this restaurant. 1. I LOVE the cocktails!! You really can't go wrong with any of them. 2. The short ribs are exceptional and I love the sauteed spinach served with them. I wish they gave you more spinach and less potatoes. 3. All of the salads I've tried have been unique and delicious. I don't usually order a Caesar Salad, but I tried my husband's last time and I had to order my own this time. It's that good. The bartenders and servers are always helpful and friendly. During our most recent visit, our server wasn't as attentive as he could've been, but I really do enjoy coming to this restaurant."

  • "I had reservations for this place early Valentines day evening and nothing went well. All the tables were crunched together, several items on the menu were not available until 8:00 pm . The table we sat at was wobbly and one seat was bench style and placed directly over the joint cravess. Complaints to the service staff fell on deft ears. My fiancee and I left before ordering. For the relative high prices this establishment commands it is definitely not worth it. I do not recommend this place. Management has some serious rethinking to do. Mgmt decided to institute a tablet based notification system that evening. The hostess was technology challenged, had no training and to boot the device had a fractured glass panel."

  • "I'll admit, I had high expectations for my Crush 29 experience. I had waited many years to go until the right opportunity presented itself. With a special occasion in hand, I got to have my first Crush 29 experience. My gut instinct when I left was, "For a wine restaurant, it had a very subpar wine list." No wine pairing options, very little high quality wine options. The server barely acknowledged us. Moreover, the menu was generic, though our selections tasted well. Just a little disappointing and minus a high end happy hour (mixed drinks would be the focus next time), I won't probably go back for dinner."

  • "We got seated next to the fireplace. The restaurant was romantic. They have a good selection of wines. We had lamb lollipops with sweet potato puree for an appetizer. For dinner I had mahi mahi with basmati rice and spinach. It was probably one of the best mahi mahi I've ever had. My fiancé got the braised short ribs with potatoes. They were the best short ribs he has ever had. They were so flavorful I had more than two bites of his! The service was good too. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants great food, wine and a romantic setting. We will be back again definitely!"

  • "We were handed a buzzer and kept waiting outside in the cold for 20 minutes despite having a reservation. My dinner companion raved about her salmon, and I appreciated the fresh vegetables served with my chicken, but the chicken itself was reminiscent of what they used to serve on airplanes back in the day. Then when the bill came I was charged twice for it. The server was very friendly in that California way, and it's an attractive room, but I don't think I'd come back again."

  • "we use to love to come to crush 29. The staff was friendly the service good and the food exceptional. However things must have changed. They not only status about 1/2 hour late but the host had an attitude and the server was less than attentive. The food was okay at best and not a great value for the price we paid. Looks like crush 29 will fall down a list of restaurants to attend"

  • "My husband and I heard about Crush 29 and finally made a reservation and came for dinner this weekend. We both had an amazing expereince. My brothers use to own and run a restaurant "Morrison's Upstairs" in Woodland and not many restaurants compaired. I must say that your restaurant had amazing food, great atmosphere, and a strong server/waiter staff. We enjoyed the evening and will definitely recommend your restaurant to famiy and friends. My brothers enjoy going to new restaurants too...I'm sure they would travel from Woodland to try your restaurant out. Thank you for the wonderful service and food!"

  • "Crush 29 was not all that. Food was not good. We went for a birthday and they didnt even know even though i mentioned it online. The waiter said they didnt have a certain kind of potato and said i would need to substitute, than came back saying we do have it. Overall it wasnt too friendly, the girls workin there were not all about good customer service"

  • "The menu is varied - starters, salads, pizza and main dishes - and the food is excellent, with fresh ingredients and a contemporary feel (sometime we want to try the starter lamb lollipops with squash center and hot mustard dip). My porcini mushroom, spinach and squash risotto was very nice, and not salty (the sin of most risottos) - and my husband had the short ribs with mashed potatoes and spinach and he was very happy. The wine list has a good selection and a section of reds and whites called something like discovery wines. Decor is modern - stone, wood - very relaxed with a fireplace in one room, and the staff is friendly and helpful. It was our second visit and we are putting it on the regular list."

  • "Crush 29 has always been "our" place, my boyfriend and I. We came here in our first few months of dating, and three plus years later we keep coming for special occasions or when we just need a Crush fix!! The food is always wonderful, we're always more than satisfied. We recommend this restaurant all the time to family and friends, and bring them anytime we want to go some place special!! This place is definitely in the back of my mind for special parties or celebrations. Maybe even a special reception of some sorts... One day soon. Thank you Crush 29 for so many good memories and happy tummies!!"

  • "A busboy dropped a tray of glass and shards of glass flew into the remainder of my lunch and drink, hence, I wasn't able to finish it. My guests said I should of said something, but I didn't. Someone, or even the busboy should have checked!"

  • "The restraunt is nice inside and the meal was good by overpriced. Service was slow and the restraunt has a bad habit of seating people way to close to one another. It is hard to have a conversation without feeling the person sitting 6 inches from you has an opinion on the matter and it also makes is a production to get up out of your seat. It turns what could be a romantic restaurant experience into awkward night out."

  • "The food was great, amazing service and a beautiful and romantic feel to the restaurant. My boyfriend had spilled something on his shirt nobody saw it and put of no where some guy just give him some club soda and a napkin for the stain it was like something put of a movie. Everything we ate was excellent it was a perfect Valentine's day dinner. Great place for a date or special occasion. I'm defiantly going to return."

  • "We had reservations at 7:45 on 2/15/2014. -7:55 Ordered drinks and Artichoke appetizer. Waitress said they were out of artichoke, so we ordered the Calamari and our dinner orders (Filet Mignon and Rack of Lamb). -9:00 Calamari came. Only then I noticed the tables around us had bread sticks. I was starving! Calamari was glorified fish-sticks, not calamari. -While eating the calamari, the couple seated next to us (20 min after us) received... an artichoke appetizer. -9:45 got dinner, both overcooked (we ordered medium rare- not medium well). -10:20 left restaurant. Unsatisfied. Service was Terrible. Didn't even know waitresses's name. Not personable at all. She probably talked to us for a combined minute over the course of our dinner."

  • "This was my first time at this restaurant it was a great experience, the food was great, and they had a photo booth for pictures on the way out which i thought was a great ending to the night. I will definitely be going back for future special occasions"

  • "This was our first time at Crush 29, it was very nice. They gave us a rose and took a picture of us, which was very cool and a nice touch to our romantic dinner. We didn't have to wait long for our table. I would recommend this as a nice place for date night."

  • "Early reservation and tables were not yet full, and when ordering one of first choices was not available because they "had run out"....are you kidding? at 5:30!? My wife's meal was so-so. The table next to ours was seated half an hour later and they wound up splitting a meal because much of the menu was not available. Our server wasn't keen on recommendations and seemed to not be available when we needed her...twice food was brought to our table we didn't order. Yes it was Valentines Day, but I would think the restaurant would've been better prepared. We've been to Crush several times for lunch and dinner and not had any issues previously."

  • "A very popular night to dine at a very popular local venue. They were very busy, almost too busy, as they ran out of some menu items very early. Even with the obvious rush of customers the service was excellent with no shortage of attention paid to our table. The Crush salad was very good as an opener. My wife enjoyed her New York steak very , much, but was disappointed that the Short Ribs were not available. I had the Ahi and enjoyed the peppery crust and melt in your mouth quality of the main dish. The ginger rice was flavorful but a little "crunchy". Overall it was a nice dinner out at a reasonable price!"

  • "My date and I were celebrating a huge career accomplishment, and I wanted to find a restaraunt fitting how proud of him I am. I asked for a romantic table when making my reservation, and was very pleased when they sat us in a quiet location, directly in front of a fireplace. The servers were friendly and knowledgable, the food from the appetizers, to salads, to prime rib was delicious. It was a perfect evening of elegance and deliciousness... Exactly what I'd hoped for. Thank you Opentable and Crush 29 for a memorable evening!! (2/8/2014)"

  • "Haven't been here in awhile. Probably won't go back unless for a drink and appetizer at bar. Arrived for 7pm reservation. Ordered the special Halibut- they were already out. Went with the Flank steak and also Shrimp with Risotto. Flank steak was not bad but just average. Risotto was tremendously salty. Mounds of risotto with a few shrimp hidden within the Rosotto."

  • "we have eaten here many times in years gone by and started to revisit once again. the food was good. we dined on the brie cheese and artichoke appetizers, salads and main dish. we also had a nice bottle of wine with dinner. somewhat disappointed in the salmon which we have had in the past. it was on the dry side with little flavor. one of our party members had the mahi mahi, which was very good with lots of flavor. our waitress was excellent and did a great job in serving us. we will be back again."
