CrudoEverything was perfect!!Beautiful place, big open space, very knowledgeable staff, and very fun menu and coursing options. Cocktails are amazing and so is the food. This is one of my favorite AZ restaurants. The coursing menu is the way to go. Unlike most coursing menus I have tried the portions are awesome and you walk out stuffed! 5 Stars for sure!!5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dining experienceThe food is amazing! I'd recommend doing the coursings so you can try a lot more food. The mixologist is fantastic! I will say create me a drink that's refreshing, not too sweet with whiskey and something amazing comes out every time! Although I spend more money here than I normally would on dinner ($80 person average), it's worth every penny!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMThree words for you...SquidThree words for you...Squid Ink Risotto! Absolutely amazing!
Actually everything we had was amazing, the butterfish, the yellow tail, the short rib and the pork belly! Very happy with Crudo and will be back sooner than later.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome DinnerSaturday night, anniversary dinner. Started in the bar with some champagne, burrata & fried pigs ears - the evening only elevated from there. Maureen, our server was fantastic - from the wine recommendations to the explanations of each dish on the menu. Everything was phenomenal and we will be back soon!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I love to comeMy husband and I love to come here sit at the bar have great cocktails and bites! My parents were here visiting and we had to take them here. They love food just as much as us ! They had a great time!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect Date Night DinnerThe modern yet cozy decor and ambiance definitely lends itself to a romantic setting. The service was superior and mixed drinks were amazing! As for dinner, I highly recommend the 5-course Corso and get a least one from each of the four styles - absolutely delicious and impeccable presentation. I would never have imagined that Crispy Pig Ears and a gourmet Twinkie would be part of the best dining experiences I've had!
A return visit has become mandatory.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMI thought the ambiance wasI thought the ambiance was okay? Prefer something a little brighter and wish there were more tables by windows. there was a private party on the outside patio, where we would have preferred to sit. The food was excellent! Loved everything!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMAn interesting menu, stylishAn interesting menu, stylish but stark interior, and good service all around. Enjoyed trying a range of plates and sharing with my friend. We loved the mushroom entree with a fried egg on top, the mozarella dishes (one with ricotta and one with tomato and balsamic), and a very yummy desert (the crisp)as our favorites of the night.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Albacore crudo was toThe Albacore crudo was to die for. Highly recommend. The ambiance is boring and plain but that's ok because the good stands out and shines.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMI read positive reviews aboutI read positive reviews about Crudo's chef in the paper, so when my son came into town I made a reservation. Just driving up to the back of the shopping center, you feel like you're in another neighborhood...fabulous. We liked the entrance, so Italian. We absolutely loved the restaurant, the food and the ambiance. Every course was so creative, tasty, and unique. My husband and I will definitely return in the future!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAn amazing menu and opportunityAn amazing menu and opportunity to try many things via the tasting menu, without costing a fortune!!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFoodie treatMy 3 guests and I are demanding, but Crudo exceeded our expectations leaving us very happy on all counts. Reception was welcoming, attentive, and professional. Service was spot on with the best menu rendition in memory. Each plate arrived and was presented as the treat it is… Amongst 17 plates served, we were rewarded with nice portions and no losers.
Top notch creative menu. Best German dumpling since I was a kid. Packed with flavors and unique offerings. Foodies not to miss… First time a Super Tuscan by the glass has been offered to me and it was terrific both in elegance and price point. Bravo!
Chef Cullen kindly emailed a recipe that I have been searching for ages.
When done we wanted to stay and start all over.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFavorite restaurant in Phoenix.Favorite restaurant in Phoenix. Excellent food, knowledgable and sincere service in a non-pretentious atmosphere.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMThe fish was very fresh andThe fish was very fresh and the combinations of flavors was unusal, but great. The grilled butter fish was one of the best fish dishes I have ever had. The cheeses are all fresh and flavorful.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThe hostess made me questionThe hostess made me question whether we should stay for dinner, but I am extremely happy we stayed! Our server was excellent, made great recommendation on food and wine. The food was outstanding!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AM3 Courses Divine and Filling!First time at Crudo. Had a 3 course meal of the following: Crudo - Yellowtail, Mains - Mushroom with Egg, Squid Ink Risotto. My husband had the following: Main: Gnocchi, Grilled - Butterfish, Pork Belly. All of the food was fantastic. This easily ranks in the top three meals that I have ever eaten in my life. We will definitely be back. 3 courses is more than enough, provided you don't get all Crudo or Mozzas (the latter a guess since we didn't actually partake). Both of us left full, and completely happy. We will definitely be back. The star for hubby was the Pork belly, and for me it was the Mushroom, though all of the food was amazing.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Best!We love it here. This is nothing like any Italian restaurant we've been too. Everything is unique, made with fresh ingredients and priced right. The only problem here is finding the place. They are located in a strip mall at 36th st & Indian School, but the problem is that they are on the back side of the mall. This is our third time here, so we knew where to go. With this location they will never get any drive by business, only diners that have heard of the place, or repeat diners. I just hope this location does not cause their demise down the road. This is one of the best restaurants in the valley and I would sure hate to see them close as a result of a poor location.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Food Freak speaks about CrudoThis place is truly a gem of a restaurant! Our waitress was all schooled up on the unique cuisine this place has to offer. We started out with one of their many interesting cocktails. We had the Kitty Hawk and it was fabulous. There is also a very well considered wine list. After our waitress explained how to order - suggesting to choose 3,4, or 5 courses (all reasonably priced) we were off to the races choosing the 4 course ride. The menu can certainly be confusing to the first time customers only because the food is unique. I don't want to demystify everything because that was definitely part of the fun. However, we ate a raw course, then a cheese course, followed by a hot course, and the finish for us was a dessert course. Goodness!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous experience. We wereFabulous experience. We were in town from Minneapolis and took our son who is a classically trained chef, living in Gilbert. We will definitely be back.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMSecond time was even betterThis was our second time at Crudo. We loved it the first visit but enjoyed it more the second time. Our server remembered us - a month later. The course menus was a little more familiar to us. Everything we ordered was great - though I have to put in a good word for the mushroom dish. This is a place I could recommend for high-end clients or foodie friends or even big date night. Noise level is such that you can talk, food is amazing and service is well-paced but definitely not hurried. It is the total package.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMCrudo was a delightful discovery.Crudo was a delightful discovery. Menu, served tapas style, is creative and execution is excellent.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAs usual I rely on Open TableAs usual I rely on Open Table to find a great place to eat and this was no exception. I was originally drawn to the idea of raw food for my vegetarian friend, but instead this turned into an evening out with her and 4 other non vegetarian friends. We enjoyed our nook table for six, our server was outstanding and knowledgeable and always there when we needed her. The food and wine suggestions, service pacing, and overall experience was great. I'm moving to the area and will definitely return.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMI ate here on the last nightI ate here on the last night they were open in their old location (in the salon) and thought the food was outstanding. My only complaint was the pretentious waitress.
My boyfriend took me here for my birthday dinner . I was surprised at how nice it was inside because the front of the strip mall it's housed in isn't much to look at. We each chose the 5 course for $55. We ordered all different things so we could try more dishes. We also ordered a bottle of wine and a side of the crispy pig ears. They were delicious. As a sashimi fan I ordered mostly off the crudo side of the menu plus some burrata. Everything was top notch. The watress kept our wine glasses full. One course followed the other perfectly. We love this place and will be back.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding! This place puts a new twist on Italian food. Very unique to say the least. Everything is so flavorful it is hard to describe. From the smoked olives to the raw menu, it just doesn't get any better than this! The prices are great too. Three courses of your choice for $35 is a bargain.12/15/2012 12:00:00 AMvery interesting concept enjoyedvery interesting concept
