  • Great Service, Horrible Parking

I recently made reservations for a party of 10 at CRU. The service was EXCELLENT. Our hostess was wonderful and she made the experience so much fun. The cook even came up to greet us and he had a gentleman sing happy birthday to my sister. The only thing I didn't like was the parking situation. They don't have much room for parking to accommodate large parties. Other than that, it is an excellent spot and I recommend it!

I had the grilled cheese sandwhich and tomato soup. So good! The list of martinis is wild and their wine list is great. Very unique little place. The bartender was very nice. Definitely going back.

We had a party of 11, including special guests, for Sunday brunch, and, unfortunately, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had in Atlanta. The food arrived, cold, a couple of dishes at a time over the course of 30 minutes. We were told by our server/bartender that she was shorthanded a server that day, but this seemed to be an issue with the kitchen. When we arrived there was only one two top, and, to my knowledge, no other tables during our time there. Fortunately, we were given a discount on the final bill, but I won't venture there again.

  • Disappointing limited menu

I was really surprised (and disappointed) at the incredibly limited menu. I had no idea. For main dishes, you can get a hamburger, hot dog, chicken tacos, and one other thing I've forgotten. The hamburger was good, but served with hash browns, not fries. Not my favorite. I also had the butternut squash soup. It needed more seasoning. The place is cool, and hip, but not what I was looking for. Probably wouldn't go back. I left hungry.

CRU was a let down! For a Saturday night the establishment was sparsely populated and one of it's inhabitants was a small minor. The menu was lacking even for small plates. The only good thing about this place was the exceptional strenth of it's drinks! Possibly I will check back later in the year at a different time to see if things have changed...or at least to get another Ponce de Leon.

Although the space is very small, the layout is very nice and appears as though it would be a nice place to have drinks in an intimate setting. Our food choices were good although not very memorable. The service was the best part of the experience as suggestions were offered and the wait staff was very prompt. The overall pricing was too high on many food items as well as many of he drinks.

Great Food, Great Service, Great Atmosphere, what more do you want. Seriously, can't say enough nice things about our experience. It has an NYC vibe. Fresh food with yummy, well balanced combinations. The best flour-less chocolate cake I've ever had. Great music that wasn't so loud you couldn't talk. Very friendly knowledgeable staff that added to the experience without being intrusive.

I went to Cru to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. When I arrived, I told the server I had a cake and she agreed to put it away. We were seated upstairs, but the server was slow so people ended up at the bar away from the party. At the end of the night the server gave me my bill. The manager then came over and asked me who would be responsible for the cake cutting fee, which they didn't tell me about. I gave the server my credit card and when she gave me my bill she'd charged me for more than the original bill. I pointed it out and she said it was a mistake, but I think she did it on purpose because she forgot who ordered something. There were only three people working, a server, a bartender and a cook. Not enough for the crowd of people

Our waitress Jasmine was helpful but I also wonder was she being stretched too thin. After our party got there it was hard to get her towards the end of service and the valet parking attendant was trying to run a scam. My friends who had the shrimp tacos said they were bland and the corn tortillas were terrible. My friend asked for her Skirt Steak to be medium well and it was medium rare. My Skirt Steak was fine but I hated that my entire group was not satisfied.

We got in pretty early by atlanta standards (7p) so the place was empty. The bartender James made us feel good though with some handpicked drinks and good conversation. We enjoyed a couple of small plates one being the lamb sliders which were delicious. Great stop for pregame before a big night. The lounge upstairs seems to be usually reserved for private parties which don't start until late.

Cru is a great lounge. The upstairs area is perfect for an intimate gathering with friends, but you don't feel bad about getting a little loud while laughing. The menu is really good. The mac & cheese is great! The tomato soup and grilled cheese is awesome as well. The shrimp appetizer is good. Fries are a great appetizer. Ask James about his latest infused vodka. Customer service is truly outstanding. We love hanging out here with friends and always have a great time.

My friend and I hosted a joint birthday party at CRU for 30 to 40 guests on December 12, and we could not have been more pleased with the venue. We made reservations two months in advance, and we met with James (the manager) and Justin (the chef) several times prior to the party. CRU has a very intimate floor plan that is conducive to mingling. Our guests had drinks in their hands as soon as they walked in the door, and the bartenders treated us more like friends than customers. The appetizers were tasty and beautifully plated, and Justin continued to send out fresh appetizers in 15 minute intervals throughout the entire evening. I would highly recommend CRU to anyone planning a party, and I certainly intend to become a repeat customer.

We were very impressed with the lounge. The atmosphere was grand, and the service was phenominal. I learned that their menu was not very vast, but the dishes that they have, they have pretty much perfected them. I will most definitely be a return customer, and I thank Open Table for my reservation. Most sincerely, DeJuan Gilchrist

Cru was a small place way smaller than I imagined. The music was a little loud but barable I came in with two friends and we had a ball our server/bartender Heather was so nice and plesent she made us great drinks and made sure we were taken care of. Now for the food everything was just fabulous make sure you go in and try the corn fritters they where out of this world oh and the french bread pizza but everyrthing we had was great. But the icing on the cake was when the chef Justin came up and said hello and chatted with us. You don't get that at other restuarants also he was so nice and he is only 20 years old but he was sweet and he made us feel so welcome. I say go to Cru to eat stay for a drink with heather and come back fo4 the chef
