Definitely "clubby" but not in a pretentious, UES way. This restaurant was relaxed with a definite style. Met and seated promptly in the glass garden room, our table was lovely. We came early and received a lot of attention from the staff, who were very patient and attentive to my 11 year old. The food was superb and beautifully presented. Crown has become my favorite restaurant in New York - hands down! The food is spectacular, the room is sophisticated, the service is friendly with no attitude. But watch out for a tab to match. (For example, if you 'choose' to add the white truffles [available only until the end of Dec.] onto any dish, that'll add $100 to the bill. My advice, if you don't have an unlimited line of credit, ask how much the 'extras' will cost.) Wait staff has been trained to assume that anyone dining there has the J.P.
