  • "First off let me say, our server was delightful, informative, attentive to the right degree and her timing was perfection. The dishes were well paced, we have been to Crossroads on several other occasions where we were slammed with our appetizers, salads and entrees in quick succession, leaving us wanting for something more than a Chinese diner experience and We Got it on this night. The food was beautiful and tasty all the way to our last bite of a variety of desserts. Glad you moved into the neighborhood Crossroads. CHEF TAL RONNEN exquisite taste in vegan food is our gift to enjoy."

  • "This was an incredible dining experience for someone that is a non-vegetarian. I really appreciated the flavors of the cuisine and plan on going back again soon. I would love to know how this food is prepared in such a way that it really resembles a meat lovers palate. I highly recommend trying the restaurant but do go with an open mind and I would try to grab a drink in the bar beforehand as the ambience is fabulous especially when the sun is just setting."

  • "The food felt life it was somehow cheating in the strict rules of veganism. It was just too good. Love the polenta fries! How were the crab cakes so well made?!! It should have crumbled to a hott mess! I wish the crab cakes at RFD were this crunchy! The Milanese was perfect. I just wish Crossroads was somewhere in Echo Park so I could ask for some sort of garlic mashed potatoes and not feel bad about it."

  • "Made a reservation for 8pm. We were there at 7.55 but there was no table for us. We order one cocktail that literally has a mound of ice coming out the top of the glass. We also get a martini that is like 50% vermouth even after I specified it should be "dry". How can a professional bartender be unable to make one of the most basic drinks? At 8.15 we were seated in the side room which was like a completely different restaurant. I told the hostess that we were not happy with that. I was told by her that I had not specified the main restaurant in my reservation. So. I'm not sure if there is some small print somewhere, where you ask if you'd like to actually sit IN the restaurant where you are reserving a table but if so, MAKE IT BIGGER."

  • "Hostess sent us to the bar and then completely forgot about us. The kitchen was out of the first dish we ordered so we re selected. The reservation was for 8:30 and at 9:45 we were told that they were also out of my main entree. This was 30 minutes after ordering it. We called over the manager to complain and ended up leaving before the meal was over. Horrible experience and I'm a 47 year old man that's been eating out in restaurants all the time for the past 25 years. Shockingly bad. I would never go back."

  • "The food was amazing! The meaty lasagna was seriously a vegan wet dream. It tasted like the real deal! Our server, however, was just NOT a server. My sister and I are both servers ourselves, so we're pretty understanding, but after 5 minutes with the menu, we knew it better than him. It was as though they had a busser take the table rather than a server. He didn't know how to split a check, forgot to put in my sister's mushrooms, and clearly rang in her drink wrong. It was busy for a Wed night, but still, we had a reservation. Shouldn't like walk-ins get stuck with the crummy service? At least we got a good laugh out of it and the food was worth it. It's nice to have a place to get good food without having to deal w/my dairy allergy."

  • "When I found out my husband and I would be traveling to Los Angeles for a few days this spring, I knew I couldn't miss the chance to dine at Crossroads while on the west coast (even briefly). The experience was everything I had hoped it would be! Ambience and interior: absolutely beautiful, with soft lighting and large, extremely comfortable chairs. Service: welcoming and professional, attentive without being overbearing. Food: outstanding in every way; great selection, incredibly fresh and flavorful, stunning presentation. Even my non-veg husband was extremely impressed and satisfied. And the cocktails are not to be missed! Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions are mixed and presented with the utmost care, and are totally delicious!"

  • "Our waiter was a doll, the blonde afro hostess when we walked in had this horrible attitude. Not sure if it put a bad taste in my mouth but nothing seemed to get better the rest of the night. Then there's the $100 bill for almond cheese (tastes like sour cream) and salty tidbits of artichoke. I'm tempted to buy the building though, live the location."

  • "Unfortunately our experience was affected by a very strange waitress who seemed nice one moment, aggresive the next. She was very rude completely out of the blue. It seemed our drinks had been forgotten.We had nearly finished our 1st course, so we asked if they were on their way.The answer was a stonefaced slow yes followed by a long stare.Then when the drinks did come and placed on our table, one of the drinks were not what we had ordered.Wanting to correct the mistake we politely mentioned the mix up.Her reply was a annoyed explanation about how she knew that, and it was for the table next to us but since she didn't have a tray and only 2 hands she had to put it down.It made no sense at all since she was just carrying 2 drinks! "

  • "I took my vegetarian husband and adult children for his birthday. I noted on my reservation it was for a special occasion--his birthday. We were put in the small casual dining area, which was just ok, but definitely set a very casual tone for the evening. Prices are very high for what you get--very small portions. The food was good, not great, but interesting given it is vegan-- but not a restaurant that I would go back to. Once was enough. The hostesses were very friendly, the waitstaff, ok. "

  • "Crossroads did not disappoint except in terms of the small portions of food presented. Noshing is fine, but the bill can skyrocket very quickly! Nice bar, classy service, quality vegan food. Next time, I would go with a group and order sort of Chinese style, i.e. many shared dishes. It would be hard to get full there, except for the pasta dishes being employed in the ordering. Better yet, go with someone with money to burn so you can try a wine on the reserve list, the most costly of which is just under $1000. Yeah. The Jules Verne in Paris it's not."

  • "Wow. I had been wanting to try this place for a long time and I finally got to go. Service was outstanding, and the food was clearly prepared by someone who cares about the presentation and originality of food. This place is a refreshing change from your average vegan restaurant because the chef here obviously cares about flavor and presentation and the "theater" of food. Great cocktails too, and a pretty good wine list. If I lived in LA, I'd be eating here at least once a week, if not more. Give yourself a treat and GO! "

  • "We had a wonderful experience at Crossroads. We are vegans from Orange County, so we do not have any upscale restaurants to enjoy a nice evening out for a special occasion nearby. Although it was a long drive for us (70 miles each way), we found it at Crossroads!! Everything we ordered was amazing, the wine was wonderful, and we really had a night to remember. There was 1 carnivore in our party and he also really enjoyed the food!! Would highly recommend for a special night out! It was definitely worth the long drive~we will be returning soon!"

  • "Creative and delicious food. Good service. Unbearably loud. Music turned up and everyone yelling to shout over the music. Spoke to the server and the manager (very cool guy). Appears the owner was in house last Saturday and insisted the music be cranked up. Mind you his choice of music was not bad (we love classic rock), but not conducive to a relaxed meal, and he refused to turn it down to even a mild roar. Plus, the restaurant is all hard surfaces, nothing to muffle sound. What a shame. Ears ringing, we left after the second round of what we had hoped would be many rounds of what promised to be delicious small plates. "

  • "We had heard a lot about this restaurant, all good of course and it didn't disappoint. Wonderful, wonderful food. Actually, the best pasta I've had maybe ever. The greens were outstanding, the beans were spicy and to die for - vegan heaven. The people watching is out of control here to a point that it's almost a distraction. The food is the real show though and worth the wait it you didn't think far enough in advance to make reservations though OpenTable. Highly recommended. I still think Millennium in San Francisco is better food wise but Crossroads offers a different vibe that very hip mixed with great cocktails mixed with outstanding cuisine. Love it! "
