  • "The "new" menu does not match with the menu posted at Open Table and on the HoB web site and the item I intended to order was not available on the "new" menu. Signature Cornbread - Stale "crispy" chicken wings - gooey - definitely not fried. Sandwiches - not at all special I'm not sure what the distraction was, because the place was not very busy when we arrived but, for all the attention the "manager" gave when seating us, the server was slow in getting to us and nearly invisible except for taking an delivering our order. It didn't help that had no place-setting for several minutes after my meal was delivered. It seemed like the folks in the back room were enjoying the band - Don't go for the food "

  • "The voodoo shrimp over cornbread was amazing and the Juicy Lucy was by far the best burger I had this year!"

  • "had a great time with my family for my husbands birthday. hob beads were a nice touch as well as complimentary dessert staff extremely attentive ( Julian and Leon) will recommend to friends as food is delicious. had the fried chicken and ate all 4 pieces,"

  • "The food had some highlights including the gumbo and pasta bolognese which were both very good. I was very disapointed in my salad which was a limited portion of very wet spinach leaves that were over dressed and soggy. The shrimp po boy ok and the fried chicken was well cooked (moist on the inside and crispy outside) but lacked any flavor. Too bland for my taste. Price was just OK. The server was very friendly and generally responsive, except when my daughter knocked over my drink and our server did not offer to help us clean up. She did bring us more napkins but only a small amount of paper napkins so we had to use our "starched" table napkins. I thought that at least an "offer' to help with a wet rag would have been appropriate."

  • "ordered the 'signature' ribs and the sauce came out tasting like smoked ketchup if you can imagine what that tastes like. The appetizers were good however the place was just plain over-priced and not worth eating there, especially since you don't get any opentable points!"

  • "Beer was great, food was just okay, service was what I would expect, not awesome buy not bad. Nice live jazz music which is not too loud but other patrons ere very loud (a few large groups). I would come for just a beer next time not to eat dinner."

  • "I was actually pleasantly surprised. The service was polite, attentive and effective. The food was better than average for such a mainstream and mass market venue. I had the excellent Jalapeno cornbread which blended spicy and sweet to rather delicious effect. For my main I went for the adobe pork chop and this really was better than average. Nicely seasoned and cooked and served on a tasty, but slightly over-salted, squash/corn/bean medley. The beer selection wasn't great but overall not bad at all for the tourist trap this is."

  • "Though the restaurant turned out not to be busy at all, we were still glad we had our Open Table reservation just in case. It was a Thursday night and we opted for a 6:30 pm time slot. I had previewed the menu in advance and liked its choices and reasonable prices (much less expensive than expected for the French Quarter). My husband had the ribs, which were very tender and seasoned just right. Portions were large, and we were able to share, giving us a chance for appetizers also. We had a 20% off coupon from some French Quarter map we got about a year ago, and they cheerfully honored it. We were impressed enough that we will dine there again. And its location is perfect....only a couple blocks down on Decatur from the Canal St. streetcar."

  • "We went at 7:00PM on a Saturday. I was surprised that in a city know for music and being in the House of Blues, there was NO music. Not even background music. They were out of two of the dinner items that our group of 4 ordered. I felt bad for the waiter who was trying very hard to do a good job. We decided to leave rather than pay for substitute items that were not what we wanted. I expected to pay for the 1 beer we ordered but surprised that they still charged us for 3 sodas that we ordered! I thought they would have enough customer service to at least see that was poor taste. $14.00 for 15 minutes at the House of Blues."

  • "Very good service and the food was wonderful. The staff was exceptional! My boy was in a wheechair and we were attending a show in the parish room. The staff helped us soo much to make it convenience for my son. We really appreciated that."

  • "I rated service as "poor" not because the wait staff was bad, but because it took well over 45 minutes to get our food. We were a group of 10 but there was nobody else in the restaurant. This isn't the first time this has happened to our lunch group. It's probably time to find a new restaurant."

  • "The service was ok but we had to wait an hour for our food and the resturant was not busy. Pricey for the quality of the food."

  • "The whole atmosphere of the place was excellent. The concert area was close and intimate. The bar tenders took very good care of our needs and where very friendly. The over all experience was more than I expected."

  • "We came to celebrate our anniversary and we had a great time. The food and service is great. A must visit when in New Orleans."

  • "I was sadly disappointed with our trip to HOB this time around. The last few times we visited the food was excellent! We even had our wedding reception here in 2012. I remember loving the Voodoo Shrimp and cornbread! I was very excited to visit and have it again. They changed the name to Crossroads when Aaron Sanchez (sp?) took over... And apparently he revised all the recipes, because now everything was way too spicy to even eat! My poor Voodoo Shrimp dish that used to be amazing was now indelible! Even the cornbread made my mouth burn. So if you like over the top spices and your mouth on fire- this is your place. But if you are looking for subtle yummy southern flavors and the old preparations, you will also be disappointed."

  • "This was our second time eating here. We had a party of 8.All the food and the service was top notch. We really enjoyed the fact that if you dine in you get in the fast line for the concert later. Our only complaint was the bartenders at the Restaurant bars were kind of slow. One had to look up how to make a drink but he nailed it. We will be back"

  • "When you say House of blues specially in New Orleans you think of Blues Music and Jazz a laid back mellow and some really good food. Not a Honky tonk bar. which is what it felt like country playing??? that is not Blues and it was just very loud. This was our first trip to the big easy as well as our 29th Anniversary. So when I found this place I thought it was a gem. I have been to several Blues restaurants in Chicago and one Named House of Blues as well. But I will never go back to the one in New Orleans. Waitress messed up our order, food took a long time to get there and was just okay. And we had to listened to country music. Not inpressed"

  • "We went to House of Blues for a band that was playing and figured it would be easy just to eat there and then go to the show. Overall, the food was okay but it was cold. I'm not sure if it sat to long before they served us or if it was just not very warm when it was put in the plate. Food was good but I definetly would have enjoyed it more if it had been served hot. Also, my husband ordered a beer and it took forever to get it. He ordered it as soon as we were seated. He would have normally drank about 4 beers with dinner but he was served his first beer way after we had been served our dinner then he asked for them to bring him another one and they brought it to him after we had been given our bill to pay."

  • "First of all we had a great server named Cheryl! I'm requesting her next time we go back. We had great food, great service and server was so accommodating even when we asked to have 2 more guests join us an hour after we sat down. Definitely coming back here!"

  • "Can't fault the restaurant completely for the slow service while we were there... There was a large group of 60 or so with a marching band attending the Sugar Bowl. The good was excellent as usual though."

  • "We had late evening reservations on New Year's Eve. The staff was fantastic! Even after being there for hours. The special menu was outstanding. Management continually monitored how everyone was enjoying the evening. Nice, energetic vibe without the crazy, frenetic pace usually associated with New Year's Eve."

The food was incredible, the service was unbelievable, & we even went to the NOCCA Home for the Holidays concert afterwards, which was a ton of fun. Definitely recommend this place to everyone"

  • "It is a similar version of Hard Rock Cafe but the food is more tasty because of the NOLA flavors in cousine. The music is an amazing character of the restaurant. Prices are affordable and the service we got was amazing. The menu is not very big but it is complete and very good for a restaurant. no complains in this place, just had a great great time. I am wanting now to get to know the other ones in the other cities due to the fact that they implement the taste of the place where they are located."

  • "Corey, our server took EXCELLENT care of us. He was attentive but allowed us to take our time and enjoy our drinks and food. There is no better way than to attend a concert at HOB than to have dinner at Crossroads and then get in the VIP line to enter the concert venue."

  • "We were celebrating our anniversary. From the time I made the reservations for New Orleans HOB to the time we left everyone was amazing. Corey our waiter was GREAT! Gave great suggestions and was always checking on us. I would ask for him again! The food is unbelievable. Save room for desert....we suggest the white chocolate bread pudding!! We had a great time and will absolutely be back."
