Diner Reviews
  • "I had made reservations for Saturday 8/9/14 a party of 4 but only 3 where of attendance. We were presented to us with a new waitress she had short wavy blonde hair, she also introduce us to her supervisor who was shadowing her for the night. We order drinks in appetizers, then follow along with dinner order. I got to say not impress at all I order the Jambalaya it was average nothing outstanding. After leaving the Restaurant we went outside and took some pictures, then headed back to San Diego on our way my stomach was not feeling very well I got to say I do have a sensitive stomach when it comes to bad food I get a quick reaction.Only best service was the bus boy."

  • "Was there at 5 15 ordered jambalaya had inedible pieces of sausage and the chicken was left over hard chicken from night before obviously. The cornbread was pretty good to it also did not seem freshly prepared but it was good in the center. .0"

  • "I bought tickets for Summer Slaughter Tour & made dinner reservation one month & half before to the event. My reservation was for Cross Roads, where I had watched two previous concerts. Come to my surprise, the restaurant was curtained off from the concert hall. I was informed the dinning area over looking the concert was for media. I explained my previous dinning had been seated in that location & my reservation had been confirmed. I asked the shift mgr. for help. She offered an up sale for $100. Apparently, there was one table left. I then asked her if HOB would honor my reservation at that table, so we could watch the show. Long story short, both shift mgr and house mgr insisted on $100 (shaking head). Disappointed, I refused."

  • "Thought it was a dinner while watching the show I was going to see their that night. But it was separated. Food was tasty however service was poor. Waitress was slow and missing most of the dinner. Probably won't go there again, wasn't impressed."

  • "Food and service excellent, need a new bartender, the worst manhattan ever."

  • "Pleasantly surprised. Even with the background music (piped in, not live), we were able to hold a conversation. The menu is mostly high fat/caloric but we had GREAT grilled salmon dinners with vegetables. The flatbread grilled vegetable appetizer was wonderful (without the cheese), and I skipped the flatbread and ate only the veggies. Our server was soooo accommodating of my food requests. Disappointed that no Belvedere vodka for our martini! We got there early for a show and used their $20 parking but the meal was paced leisurely. Would do it again! Also paid extra for a table to sit at in the main concert room. Too old to stand for all of that!"

  • "We had the hamburgers and they were really good, and the service was good. This is a great place to eat if you want to see the show. We saw Beatles vs Rolling Stones and they were great! Good food and a great show, it was a fun evening."

  • "Went to a concert and thought a quick dinner with friends there would be nice. The service was great and I loved their voodoo shrimp; but the wings not so great. If you like a good drink, try their Gigi on Tahiti"

  • "as a regular concert-goer, I was going to go to the restaurant as usual for the promised priority entry. As I approach the bouncer says (in an off-putting tone) "nobody gets in without a reservation", as if there's an air of exclusiveness. Then moments after the bouncer returns me to the line, a family with no reservation is accommodated cordially. I take my phone out my pocket, go to OpenTable and make a reservation for a few minutes from now and am seated in the half-empty place. I ask my waitress to confirm if a party of 1 will qualify for 'pass-the-line'. She says yes, I dine - then after I finish I'm told by the manager, who had an entirely different tone to a group of woman complaining, "nope, there's no pass-the-line tonight""

  • "I didn't like that people were smoking inside the table next to us, but overall, it was amazing. Dimmed lights, nice bar, and great food. :)"

  • "It's Local night! FOOD and Music nothing could be better than HOB. The dining service is upstairs reversed from Anaheim's HOB, new place feel. Waitress service was attentive, friendly, and fast. Food: was an American Bistro; Pizzas and Burgers. There was other types of selections, but what can go better with rock music and blues than PIZZA and BURGERS! The "Flat Bread" is what I call thin crust pizza. On it was goat cheese and assorted vegetables( onions, baby broccoli, spinach and more).Excellently made, and CHEESEY~ The Burger Buns was honey glazed filled with watering med rare beef! Just perfectly grilled, pink and juicy. Furthermore, there was a live band to set the Rockin' and blues mood for the concert downstairs."

  • "is what I told a friend who does lots of family stuff but I doubt has gotten away with his wife for something like this in a while. Dinner was great, mgr introduced himself. Marisela show was awesome, we waited a long time for the perfect opportunity to see her, this was the perfect venue. And what can I say about ALL the staff but WOW...total pros. Looking fwd to going back...soon! "

  • "After battling traffic to get to a show, the last thing I want to do is run around west Hollywood and pay extra parking to eat. The food is good here and you get to pass the line to get in early (supposedly). My wife really liked the fried chicken, the Jambalaya was good too. The server did a good job even though he seemed to be handling a few tables too many."

  • "Great food, exceptional service and amazing cocktails, will definitely will come back again."

  • "I had the meatloaf; my husband had the fried chicken. Our friends had pulled pork and steak tacos. All of it was delicious! Would go again!"

  • "the food was great (blackened salmon, shrimp and grits) and the cocktails outstanding. Lots of noise from the adjacent music venue and the comedy night in the restaurant they want to get off the ground needs some work. Expensive valet parking"

  • "Had a 5:45 pm reservation and had asked for a booth. None were available, then the hostess quickly removed a "reserved" note on a nearby booth and offered it to us. What a great way to start the evening! Being a first-timer to this restaurant, I tried the fish of the day, salmon, and had it grilled. Wonderful meal, with crisp veggies, and garlic mashed potatoes. My partner had the meatloaf. It was a bit spicy for my taste but she enjoyed it. She said that it would have been nice to know that it came covered with sauce, as she doesn't care for that much sauce. She enjoyed the veggies and the garlic mashed potatoes also."

  • "HOB was a great experience. Great vibe, good service and tasty food but band noise was extreme. Listening to one band in the restaurant and having a dinner conversation was challenging bu when the main act came on in the main theatre it was as if the two venues were competing for attention - we didn't stay much longer after that. I know better next time as to what time o go."

  • "It was nice to hear singer songwriters, in particularly Annie Rue."

  • "It was my birthday and I just wanted a little excitement or special attention. My guests and I had to ask for everything: recommendations, second rounds, dessert menus, even silverware. The entire party works in the service industry and we're totally kind and understanding to people in the industry; but our server just seemed aloof. Our reservation was early, it wasn't busy yet. I just didn't get it. He did wish me a happy birthday a few times and took our photo, that was nice."

  • "My friend and I caught some quick appetizers before the Twenty One Pilots. The food came out incredibly quickly and it was absolutely delicious."

  • "Met friends for Happy Hour, turned into dinner and the live music was a nice bonus! Crowd picked up around 7pm and the staff provided excellent customer service. Food was amazing too! One of the best Mojitos I've ever had! This is a great after work place to hang out!"

  • "Beer taps did not work so all they had was ridiculously overpriced bottled beer. According to the waiter, they haven't been working for 3 weeks. Then their mixed drinks are put on menu to be served in souvenir cups, well they were all out and have been for awhile. My guess is the guy that fixes the taps also has the shipment of the souvenir cups. Whatever, all this could be forgotten with good food. Needless to say, I did not forget a thing because the food is not all that good. But the prices would lead you to believe the food is good. you know "you get what you pay for". Not here, at crossroads "you pay too much for what you get". Anyways i'll close this with the exact word the waiter told us " I'm over this place"."

  • "food was amazing, service was great but the band at times was a bit loud and distracting, at some points we wished we could find a table where we didn't have to yell to hear each other...but we got used to it and it was ok"
    Dined on 2/15/2014
  • "We chose HOB because of its proximity to the Comedy Store, but were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! The meatloaf was outstanding, and the steak was wonderful. The waiter was so accommodating, and checked on us often. Our table was right up by a band, which was a fun surprise. I would definitely go again!"

  • "It was a special night for both of my kids (17 and 22 yrs old) and I. We got there about 15 minutes early, was seated right away. Had a wonderful dinner and relaxing time before heading into the House of Blues. Would definitely recommend it!"

  • "Had a great date night out for dinner and music! Great service, food and atmosphere. Recommend highly!"
    Dined on 1/31/2014
  • "Went on a date night with the lady here and we are still talking about how good the food was. It was a little loud but next time we will try and come earlier to miss the small bands."
    Dined on 1/17/2014
  • "The drinks are sooooo good. They never disappoint on that one. I wish we had saved room for dessert because there were some tasty choices. I do reccommend the salmon! Healthy and flavorful! It's great that you can come on a week night and be entertained while eating dinner. The singers/bands they had were really good!"

  • "Food was alright and the service was just ok? Of course they were training a new waitress on the night we went. Food was not presented well and wasn't very hot. Good location to eat if you are going to a show."
    Dined on 1/14/2014
  • "Food was overpriced and over-hyped. Not impressed at all. Will not return as long as Chef Aaron is in charge."
    Dined on 1/4/2014
  • "The service was outstanding, the ribs were the best. My server was great, fun high energy. 2 managers checked on us. We had 6 people. Even offered tickets to the show. I really appreciated the service and the Ribs."

  • "My husband and I had dinner there and we really enjoyed the food. Our server was outstanding, very knowledgeable and accommodating. Drink service was excellent, and food was delish. The music was meh (we came on amateur night, so didn't expect much)."
    Dined on 12/21/2013
  • "Unimaginative with fair service and food but let's face it...you go here before a concert. For this it serves it's purpose."
    Dined on 12/17/2013
  • "We had a wonderful time. The food was great, everybody moved to stage room so place was kinda empty. We got moved to bar side for entertainment which was nice. Our server Boki was excellent very nice helpful attentive. He was very enthusiastic about promoting place. Celebrated sons birthday had good time."
    Dined on 12/15/2013
  • "The ambiance is great, especially the music, but the food (from a limited menu) is mediocre and overpriced."
    Dined on 11/22/2013
  • "we thought we were going to be dinning at the house of blues but this is more like the restaurant beside the house of blues. Food was outstanding but thats where the good ends. We thought we were going to a place for blues/music but it ended up being a place for standup comedy. They had several comedians who took the stage and while they were good, it wasn't what we were expecting. the service was straight up terrible. We were sitting for probably 20 minutes before I got up and went to the bar to get some drinks because nobody came to serve us. Finally our waitress showed up and took our drink and food orders. After that we didn't see her again until over an hour and a half later when I went to find someone to bring us our check."
