The overall experience was one of fun and indulgence. The portions are sizable and the food has some very good flavors. We ordered the mac and cheese which was very flavorful and of course, rich. The Buffalo chicken wings also were very tasty, but not overwhelmingly hot. The only part that left us a little unsatisfied was the dessert options. Signature cocktails were very good.

From before you even enter the front door this place oozes character, it was a quiet Sunday when we went and the service was prompt and extremely friendly. The steak was a highlight of my short visit to LA, cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth delicious. There was some great live blues played live on stage but it wasn't too loud to have a conversation though our group didn't talk much, we simply enjoyed the great food, amazing live music, breathtaking ambience and top notch service in relative silence. If I'm ever back in LA this will be a definite on the list of must visits, I simply cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

We decided to have dinner here as we had tickets for a show. From the time we stepped out of car we were treated as if we regulars. We did not know what to expect from the menu, they have a good selection of down home meals, so we asked our waitress Sue of the ones we liked which did she think was the best. She stated the meatloaf. She was so right. Everyone took care of us and were always around without being hovering. Sue asked if we wanted dessert and said that it would be taken care of due to the coupon on the ticket which I did not see. Again, another point for Sue. I highly recommend this place unless you are dieting as the food and service are great.

Always liked this restaurant. It's simple good old home cooking that never disappoints. If your going to a show at the H of B why schlep to or from another restaurant? The service is good and it's good for groups or just a simple romanic dinner for 2. The space is cool too, it has a Louisiana biuyou feel to it.

Booked a table for 6 on a Friday evening. We were seated promptly as there weren't many dining. Waitress took drinks order which took ages to arrive, returned (much) later to take food over. Waitress then disappeared. We had to ask the manageress for another round, she said she would send the waitress which took 15 minutes. Food was ok although I'm surprised a celebrity chef has put his name to the menu. Proximity of dining area to band made conversation difficult. It was our last night in LA and it put a bit of a dampner on it.

I ordered food I did not really want because I wanted to get full value for my $35 coupon. So, it was ghastly fried chicken and a so-so order of mac and cheese - nothing special. Both filling, in an uncomfortable way. The quesadilla appetizer was the best thing. No dessert or alcohol as I was worried about meter expiry. Waiters slow to refill water. Pleasant staff. I prefer cereal at home.

I had the jambalaya and my friend had the portabella sliders and House of Blues Salad. Mine was so so. I wouldn't plan on returnig there for dinner, but definitely would be the music and bar. On a side note, this place is awesome for concerts and shows. Intimate venue, so you get a great view no matter where you are in the place.

We ordered some ribs and a hamburger, ribs had 80% fat, if they have a little fat I guess it's ok, but it was too much. The meat in the hamburger was very dry with no flavor in it. I though the food was going to be of better quality, I was dissapointed. We did enjoy the concert, the venue is small but I least you get to see the performers up close.

I had made reservations for Saturday 8/9/14 a party of 4 but only 3 where of attendance. We were presented to us with a new waitress she had short wavy blonde hair, she also introduce us to her supervisor who was shadowing her for the night. We order drinks in appetizers, then follow along with dinner order. I got to say not impress at all I order the Jambalaya it was average nothing outstanding. After leaving the Restaurant we went outside and took some pictures, then headed back to San Diego on our way my stomach was not feeling very well I got to say I do have a sensitive stomach when it comes to bad food I get a quick reaction.Only best service was the bus boy.

I bought tickets for Summer Slaughter Tour & made dinner reservation one month & half before to the event. My reservation was for Cross Roads, where I had watched two previous concerts. Come to my surprise, the restaurant was curtained off from the concert hall. I was informed the dinning area over looking the concert was for media. I explained my previous dinning had been seated in that location & my reservation had been confirmed. I asked the shift mgr. for help. She offered an up sale for $100. Apparently, there was one table left. I then asked her if HOB would honor my reservation at that table, so we could watch the show. Long story short, both shift mgr and house mgr insisted on $100 (shaking head). Disappointed, I refused.

Pleasantly surprised. Even with the background music (piped in, not live), we were able to hold a conversation. The menu is mostly high fat/caloric but we had GREAT grilled salmon dinners with vegetables. The flatbread grilled vegetable appetizer was wonderful (without the cheese), and I skipped the flatbread and ate only the veggies. Our server was soooo accommodating of my food requests. Disappointed that no Belvedere vodka for our martini! We got there early for a show and used their $20 parking but the meal was paced leisurely. Would do it again! Also paid extra for a table to sit at in the main concert room. Too old to stand for all of that!

as a regular concert-goer, I was going to go to the restaurant as usual for the promised priority entry. As I approach the bouncer says (in an off-putting tone) "nobody gets in without a reservation", as if there's an air of exclusiveness. Then moments after the bouncer returns me to the line, a family with no reservation is accommodated cordially. I take my phone out my pocket, go to OpenTable and make a reservation for a few minutes from now and am seated in the half-empty place. I ask my waitress to confirm if a party of 1 will qualify for 'pass-the-line'. She says yes, I dine - then after I finish I'm told by the manager, who had an entirely different tone to a group of woman complaining, "nope, there's no pass-the-line tonight"

It's Local night! FOOD and Music nothing could be better than HOB. The dining service is upstairs reversed from Anaheim's HOB, new place feel. Waitress service was attentive, friendly, and fast. Food: was an American Bistro; Pizzas and Burgers. There was other types of selections, but what can go better with rock music and blues than PIZZA and BURGERS! The "Flat Bread" is what I call thin crust pizza. On it was goat cheese and assorted vegetables( onions, baby broccoli, spinach and more).Excellently made, and CHEESEY~ The Burger Buns was honey glazed filled with watering med rare beef! Just perfectly grilled, pink and juicy. Furthermore, there was a live band to set the Rockin' and blues mood for the concert downstairs.

After battling traffic to get to a show, the last thing I want to do is run around west Hollywood and pay extra parking to eat. The food is good here and you get to pass the line to get in early (supposedly). My wife really liked the fried chicken, the Jambalaya was good too. The server did a good job even though he seemed to be handling a few tables too many.

Had a 5:45 pm reservation and had asked for a booth. None were available, then the hostess quickly removed a "reserved" note on a nearby booth and offered it to us. What a great way to start the evening! Being a first-timer to this restaurant, I tried the fish of the day, salmon, and had it grilled. Wonderful meal, with crisp veggies, and garlic mashed potatoes. My partner had the meatloaf. It was a bit spicy for my taste but she enjoyed it. She said that it would have been nice to know that it came covered with sauce, as she doesn't care for that much sauce. She enjoyed the veggies and the garlic mashed potatoes also.

HOB was a great experience. Great vibe, good service and tasty food but band noise was extreme. Listening to one band in the restaurant and having a dinner conversation was challenging bu when the main act came on in the main theatre it was as if the two venues were competing for attention - we didn't stay much longer after that. I know better next time as to what time o go.

It was my birthday and I just wanted a little excitement or special attention. My guests and I had to ask for everything: recommendations, second rounds, dessert menus, even silverware. The entire party works in the service industry and we're totally kind and understanding to people in the industry; but our server just seemed aloof. Our reservation was early, it wasn't busy yet. I just didn't get it. He did wish me a happy birthday a few times and took our photo, that was nice.

Beer taps did not work so all they had was ridiculously overpriced bottled beer. According to the waiter, they haven't been working for 3 weeks. Then their mixed drinks are put on menu to be served in souvenir cups, well they were all out and have been for awhile. My guess is the guy that fixes the taps also has the shipment of the souvenir cups. Whatever, all this could be forgotten with good food. Needless to say, I did not forget a thing because the food is not all that good. But the prices would lead you to believe the food is good. you know "you get what you pay for". Not here, at crossroads "you pay too much for what you get". Anyways i'll close this with the exact word the waiter told us " I'm over this place".
