We chose HOB because of its
proximity to the Comedy Store, but were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! The meatloaf was outstanding, and the steak was wonderful. The waiter was so accommodating, and checked on us often. Our table was right up by a band, which was a fun surprise. I would definitely go again!"

food was amazing, service was
great but the band at times was a bit loud and distracting, at some points we wished we could find a table where we didn't have to yell to hear each other...but we got used to it and it was ok"

It was a special night for both of
my kids (17 and 22 yrs old) and I. We got there about 15 minutes early, was seated right away. Had a wonderful dinner and relaxing time before heading into the House of Blues. Would definitely recommend it!"
Dined on 2/5/2014
The Staff was friendly, responsive
& the food was Great!!!"
Dined on 2/1/2014
Very noisy and slow service. The
prices are high and the portions were small for the price."
Dined on 1/31/2014
Had a great date night out for
dinner and music! Great service, food and atmosphere. Recommend highly!"
Dined on 1/31/2014
The drinks are sooooo good. They
never disappoint on that one. I wish we had saved room for dessert because there were some tasty choices. I do reccommend the salmon! Healthy and flavorful! It's great that you can come on a week night and be entertained while eating dinner. The singers/bands they had were really good!"
Dined on 1/16/2014
Went on a date night with the lady
here and we are still talking about how good the food was. It was a little loud but next time we will try and come earlier to miss the small bands."
Dined on 1/17/2014
Food was alright and the service
was just ok? Of course they were training a new waitress on the night we went. Food was not presented well and wasn't very hot. Good location to eat if you are going to a show."
Dined on 1/14/2014
Food was overpriced and
over-hyped. Not impressed at all. Will not return as long as Chef Aaron is in charge."
Dined on 1/4/2014
we thought we were going to be
dinning at the house of blues but this is more like the restaurant beside the house of blues. Food was outstanding but thats where the good ends. We thought we were going to a place for blues/music but it ended up being a place for standup comedy. They had several comedians who took the stage and while they were good, it wasn't what we were expecting. the service was straight up terrible. We were sitting for probably 20 minutes before I got up and went to the bar to get some drinks because nobody came to serve us. Finally our waitress showed up and took our drink and food orders. After that we didn't see her again until over an hour and a half later when I went to find someone to bring us our check."
Dined on 11/18/2013
The service was outstanding, the
ribs were the best. My server was great, fun high energy. 2 managers checked on us. We had 6 people. Even offered tickets to the show. I really appreciated the service and the Ribs."
Dined on 12/28/2013
My husband and I had dinner there
and we really enjoyed the food. Our server was outstanding, very knowledgeable and accommodating. Drink service was excellent, and food was delish. The music was meh (we came on amateur night, so didn't expect much)."
Dined on 12/21/2013
Unimaginative with fair service
and food but let's face it...you go here before a concert. For this it serves it's purpose."
Dined on 12/17/2013
We had a wonderful time. The food
was great, everybody moved to stage room so place was kinda empty. We got moved to bar side for entertainment which was nice. Our server Boki was excellent very nice helpful attentive. He was very enthusiastic about promoting place. Celebrated sons birthday had good time."
Dined on 12/15/2013
The ambiance is great, especially
the music, but the food (from a limited menu) is mediocre and overpriced."
Dined on 11/22/2013
We were to attend a concert on the
evening of 05/24/2013 however, the concert was cancelled. It was a real bummer. Luckily I had made reservations at Crossroads. The dinner turned a very terrible situation into an excellent experience. Great food and great service made our night enjoyable."
Dined on 5/4/2013
Food was OK -- I was expecting
more because of Chef's Sanchez name-attachment. Also, the menu items were deliciously described. The Voodoo Shrimp was the best of what we ordered, however, although the shrimp and sauce were hot/warm, the cornbread that was served with with was cold. The tacos were average. The mahi-mahi average, too. No cappuccino available with dessert."
Dined on 11/16/2013
Service was slow, food was
pre-made (it took a matter of 5 minutes between the order being placed and the food delivered). Drinks were way over priced and watered down. My friend ordered a skinny margarita and it came in a 8oz glass, full of ice and basically was a regular margarita that they added water to to the point it was almost tasteless, my drink was nothing more than a ton of coke and no alcohol taste whatsoever Service was extremely slow event hough our server only had 3-4 tables. It took more time foe him to check on us and bring us the check than it did for our food to come out. Ever since changing ownership this place has gone down hill. Not recommended for anyone."
Dined on 10/20/2013
Delicious comfort food in the
heart of crazy Sunset Strip. Would come again just for dinner even if I didn't want to come to one of the music venues within."
Dined on 10/19/2013
After dining at HOB more than a
year ago, it was the right decision to come back. They are easy and professional in handling bigger groups (we were almost 30 people)."
Dined on 10/13/2013
Our waiter was exceptional!! The
food was fabulous! We were there early for the Steel Panthers show and the waiter was very patient and friendly with us. The cornbread was to die for! The atmosphere and the décor was entertaining. Loved it!!"
Dined on 10/8/2013
Ate here before a concert Saturday
night. The service and food was very good and reasonably priced. I highly recommend eating here before seeing a concert at The House of Blues."
Dined on 10/12/2013
I enjoyed the crossroads because
it is located inside the House of Blues and makes it a great evening to eat and then step into the next room listen to live music. The food was very good- The downside is, if you use the valet service, it costs $20 (+ tip!) The parking costs twice as much as the entry fee to House of Blues! It you pay for parking and ticket and food, it adds up. My recommendation is see if you can find a free place to park and then it is a lovely evening and reasonable too."
Dined on 9/29/2013
Our service wasn't the best, we
had to ask for re-fills, we had to ask where our waitress was, we had to ask for the bill, etc. Typically don't even want to have to deal with all of that when I decide to dine somewhere on a Saturday night. My salmon was overcooked and not all that tastey. The veggie flatbread was great though. Probably best to stick with drinks at the bar and eat somewhere else."
Dined on 9/8/2013
Unfortunately, the experience
wasn't the best. The food lacked flavor, the service was slow and the annoying band in the bar area was too loud and played too long. I have been to this restaurant in the past and it used to be great. The food was more Louisiana style and was very good. Since the menu has changed, it lacks in flavor and style to fit the blues inspired environment. I am not sure I would eat there again, but the cocktails were good."
Dined on 9/9/2013
If you like great music with your
food, this is the place. The menu has a wide range of items to choose from so there is something for everyone. Delicious, huge portions. The service is a bit slow and the restaurant would have gotten quite a few more beers out of us had the waitress come by or asked us. The grilled seafood tacos are divine while the French dip melts in your mouth. Our friends had a burger each and loved them. Getting a spot near the bar means you can enjoy the small stage of music as well. Favorite part was taking our receipt downstairs and getting a pass to get into see The Cult and have a better view than having to wait in the general admission line."
Dined on 9/9/2013
What a memorable evening. Worth
the drive. Staff was very helpful, to a fault."
Dined on 8/31/2013
We always eat at the HOB in
Anaheim but the good at this location is so much better. Outstanding lobster Mac and cheese"
Dined on 8/19/2013
We had an absolutely great time
celebrating my bestfriend's bday at the Crossroads at House of Blues last Friday. I highly recommend checking out their Fish of the Day. I had their Salmon which was grilled to perfection, just the right balance between crispiness and moist."
Dined on 8/17/2013
all was excellent, the place is
incredible, the food is delicious and the service is excellent."
Dined on 8/3/2013
The House of Blues is a classic.
The food is good and the music is always great. Playing when we were there was 'Big Papa and the TCB". If you are looking for a great night out to enjoy fantastic music and pretty good food - all at a reasonable price then The House of Blues is a good choice. Whenever I am in LA I visit it and have been doing so for over 20 years. Try the VooDoo Shrimp - it is my favourite."
Dined on 7/31/2013
We went on a night when up an
coming artists were trying to make a name for themselves. Very good picks and I wish them all the best of luck."
Dined on 7/26/2013
Citrus Chicken and Burgers were
great in the Voodoo Room with the jazz group. Nice evening listening to jazz with a great view. The Jazz Group, Los Feliz Quartet, was perfect for a smooooth evening. Plan to go back."
Dined on 7/24/2013
House of Blues has such a fun
energetic atmosphere. Food was great. Our waitress was not very attentive and she failed to give us an itemized bill. When we asked her for this, it seemed to be a burden for her. Management came by to take care of the situation."
Dined on 7/17/2013
Just an appetizer but these were
really good. Had the meatloaf as the main course. Wrapped in bacon is a great way to do it! The mashed potatoes have a bit too much garlic in them for me but if you're not a vampire dig in. Steel Panther and few cold Blue Moons really topped off the night."
Dined on 7/8/2013
Very disapointing that the live
music did not start until 8.30. We were told at the door that it would be 7.30 and with our reservation at 7 it was perfect. The band also seem to start at 7.30 but stopped again. The music played (cd's) were everything but blues music. I visited your restaurant in Chigaco some years ago and had brought my family to visit the restaurant in LA for them to have the same great experience that I had in Chicago. Unfortunately you did not even come close."
Dined on 6/21/2013
My friends and I went for the
first time and had a fantastic time. The place is amazing what a treasure and the food was great! Can't wait to go back again."
Dined on 6/28/2013
The food was excellent!!, the
crowd was small that evening, the drinks need much improvement, very watery but Hats off to the chef!!!. We will be returning."
Dined on 6/16/2013
We did not expect an LA hot spot
to be so friendly. The food was very good, but the biggest surprise was how friendly all the staff was. Very cool location."
