Diner Reviews
  • "After battling traffic to get to a show, the last thing I want to do is run around west Hollywood and pay extra parking to eat. The food is good here and you get to pass the line to get in early (supposedly). My wife really liked the fried chicken, the Jambalaya was good too. The server did a good job even though he seemed to be handling a few tables too many."

  • "Great food, exceptional service and amazing cocktails, will definitely will come back again."

  • "I had the meatloaf; my husband had the fried chicken. Our friends had pulled pork and steak tacos. All of it was delicious! Would go again!"

  • "the food was great (blackened salmon, shrimp and grits) and the cocktails outstanding. Lots of noise from the adjacent music venue and the comedy night in the restaurant they want to get off the ground needs some work. Expensive valet parking"

  • "Had a 5:45 pm reservation and had asked for a booth. None were available, then the hostess quickly removed a "reserved" note on a nearby booth and offered it to us. What a great way to start the evening! Being a first-timer to this restaurant, I tried the fish of the day, salmon, and had it grilled. Wonderful meal, with crisp veggies, and garlic mashed potatoes. My partner had the meatloaf. It was a bit spicy for my taste but she enjoyed it. She said that it would have been nice to know that it came covered with sauce, as she doesn't care for that much sauce. She enjoyed the veggies and the garlic mashed potatoes also."

  • "HOB was a great experience. Great vibe, good service and tasty food but band noise was extreme. Listening to one band in the restaurant and having a dinner conversation was challenging bu when the main act came on in the main theatre it was as if the two venues were competing for attention - we didn't stay much longer after that. I know better next time as to what time o go."

  • "It was nice to hear singer songwriters, in particularly Annie Rue."

  • "It was my birthday and I just wanted a little excitement or special attention. My guests and I had to ask for everything: recommendations, second rounds, dessert menus, even silverware. The entire party works in the service industry and we're totally kind and understanding to people in the industry; but our server just seemed aloof. Our reservation was early, it wasn't busy yet. I just didn't get it. He did wish me a happy birthday a few times and took our photo, that was nice."

  • "My friend and I caught some quick appetizers before the Twenty One Pilots. The food came out incredibly quickly and it was absolutely delicious."

  • "Met friends for Happy Hour, turned into dinner and the live music was a nice bonus! Crowd picked up around 7pm and the staff provided excellent customer service. Food was amazing too! One of the best Mojitos I've ever had! This is a great after work place to hang out!"

  • "Beer taps did not work so all they had was ridiculously overpriced bottled beer. According to the waiter, they haven't been working for 3 weeks. Then their mixed drinks are put on menu to be served in souvenir cups, well they were all out and have been for awhile. My guess is the guy that fixes the taps also has the shipment of the souvenir cups. Whatever, all this could be forgotten with good food. Needless to say, I did not forget a thing because the food is not all that good. But the prices would lead you to believe the food is good. you know "you get what you pay for". Not here, at crossroads "you pay too much for what you get". Anyways i'll close this with the exact word the waiter told us " I'm over this place"."

  • "We chose HOB because of its proximity to the Comedy Store, but were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! The meatloaf was outstanding, and the steak was wonderful. The waiter was so accommodating, and checked on us often. Our table was right up by a band, which was a fun surprise. I would definitely go again!"
    Dined on 2/15/2014
  • "food was amazing, service was great but the band at times was a bit loud and distracting, at some points we wished we could find a table where we didn't have to yell to hear each other...but we got used to it and it was ok"

  • "It was a special night for both of my kids (17 and 22 yrs old) and I. We got there about 15 minutes early, was seated right away. Had a wonderful dinner and relaxing time before heading into the House of Blues. Would definitely recommend it!"

  • "Very noisy and slow service. The prices are high and the portions were small for the price."

  • "Had a great date night out for dinner and music! Great service, food and atmosphere. Recommend highly!"

  • "The drinks are sooooo good. They never disappoint on that one. I wish we had saved room for dessert because there were some tasty choices. I do reccommend the salmon! Healthy and flavorful! It's great that you can come on a week night and be entertained while eating dinner. The singers/bands they had were really good!"

  • "Went on a date night with the lady here and we are still talking about how good the food was. It was a little loud but next time we will try and come earlier to miss the small bands."
    Dined on 1/17/2014
  • "Food was alright and the service was just ok? Of course they were training a new waitress on the night we went. Food was not presented well and wasn't very hot. Good location to eat if you are going to a show."
    Dined on 1/14/2014
  • "Food was overpriced and over-hyped. Not impressed at all. Will not return as long as Chef Aaron is in charge."

  • "we thought we were going to be dinning at the house of blues but this is more like the restaurant beside the house of blues. Food was outstanding but thats where the good ends. We thought we were going to a place for blues/music but it ended up being a place for standup comedy. They had several comedians who took the stage and while they were good, it wasn't what we were expecting. the service was straight up terrible. We were sitting for probably 20 minutes before I got up and went to the bar to get some drinks because nobody came to serve us. Finally our waitress showed up and took our drink and food orders. After that we didn't see her again until over an hour and a half later when I went to find someone to bring us our check."

  • "The service was outstanding, the ribs were the best. My server was great, fun high energy. 2 managers checked on us. We had 6 people. Even offered tickets to the show. I really appreciated the service and the Ribs."

  • "My husband and I had dinner there and we really enjoyed the food. Our server was outstanding, very knowledgeable and accommodating. Drink service was excellent, and food was delish. The music was meh (we came on amateur night, so didn't expect much)."
    Dined on 12/21/2013
  • "Unimaginative with fair service and food but let's face it...you go here before a concert. For this it serves it's purpose."
    Dined on 12/17/2013
  • "We had a wonderful time. The food was great, everybody moved to stage room so place was kinda empty. We got moved to bar side for entertainment which was nice. Our server Boki was excellent very nice helpful attentive. He was very enthusiastic about promoting place. Celebrated sons birthday had good time."
    Dined on 12/15/2013
  • "The ambiance is great, especially the music, but the food (from a limited menu) is mediocre and overpriced."
    Dined on 11/22/2013
  • "We were to attend a concert on the evening of 05/24/2013 however, the concert was cancelled. It was a real bummer. Luckily I had made reservations at Crossroads. The dinner turned a very terrible situation into an excellent experience. Great food and great service made our night enjoyable."

  • "Food was OK -- I was expecting more because of Chef's Sanchez name-attachment. Also, the menu items were deliciously described. The Voodoo Shrimp was the best of what we ordered, however, although the shrimp and sauce were hot/warm, the cornbread that was served with with was cold. The tacos were average. The mahi-mahi average, too. No cappuccino available with dessert."

  • "Service was slow, food was pre-made (it took a matter of 5 minutes between the order being placed and the food delivered). Drinks were way over priced and watered down. My friend ordered a skinny margarita and it came in a 8oz glass, full of ice and basically was a regular margarita that they added water to to the point it was almost tasteless, my drink was nothing more than a ton of coke and no alcohol taste whatsoever Service was extremely slow event hough our server only had 3-4 tables. It took more time foe him to check on us and bring us the check than it did for our food to come out. Ever since changing ownership this place has gone down hill. Not recommended for anyone."

  • "Delicious comfort food in the heart of crazy Sunset Strip. Would come again just for dinner even if I didn't want to come to one of the music venues within."

  • "After dining at HOB more than a year ago, it was the right decision to come back. They are easy and professional in handling bigger groups (we were almost 30 people)."
    Dined on 10/12/2013
  • "Our waiter was exceptional!! The food was fabulous! We were there early for the Steel Panthers show and the waiter was very patient and friendly with us. The cornbread was to die for! The atmosphere and the décor was entertaining. Loved it!!"

  • "Ate here before a concert Saturday night. The service and food was very good and reasonably priced. I highly recommend eating here before seeing a concert at The House of Blues."
    Dined on 10/11/2013
  • "I enjoyed the crossroads because it is located inside the House of Blues and makes it a great evening to eat and then step into the next room listen to live music. The food was very good- The downside is, if you use the valet service, it costs $20 (+ tip!) The parking costs twice as much as the entry fee to House of Blues! It you pay for parking and ticket and food, it adds up. My recommendation is see if you can find a free place to park and then it is a lovely evening and reasonable too."

  • "Our service wasn't the best, we had to ask for re-fills, we had to ask where our waitress was, we had to ask for the bill, etc. Typically don't even want to have to deal with all of that when I decide to dine somewhere on a Saturday night. My salmon was overcooked and not all that tastey. The veggie flatbread was great though. Probably best to stick with drinks at the bar and eat somewhere else."

  • "Unfortunately, the experience wasn't the best. The food lacked flavor, the service was slow and the annoying band in the bar area was too loud and played too long. I have been to this restaurant in the past and it used to be great. The food was more Louisiana style and was very good. Since the menu has changed, it lacks in flavor and style to fit the blues inspired environment. I am not sure I would eat there again, but the cocktails were good."

  • "If you like great music with your food, this is the place. The menu has a wide range of items to choose from so there is something for everyone. Delicious, huge portions. The service is a bit slow and the restaurant would have gotten quite a few more beers out of us had the waitress come by or asked us. The grilled seafood tacos are divine while the French dip melts in your mouth. Our friends had a burger each and loved them. Getting a spot near the bar means you can enjoy the small stage of music as well. Favorite part was taking our receipt downstairs and getting a pass to get into see The Cult and have a better view than having to wait in the general admission line."
