  • "Our server Brittany was excellent. She was very friendly and attentive to our needs. She made our first experience at this restaurant very enjoyable!"

  • "Excellent for preconcert dining_ must make reservations though. Food to avoid _ chicken wings. Tasted fake grilled, not fried as stated. House salad was excellent. Packed, but not because of the food. Don' t expect gourmet food, but a great preconcert atmosphere."

  • "Excellent food, service and atmosphere at Crossroads in Houston. I recommend showing up early and hanging out in the bar for a bit. Make a reservation...especially if there is a show in one of the venues ir you won't get a table! A hot spot in downtown Houston!"

  • "Place was packed. Went there before a concert. Bartender was new and kept making our drinks wrong. We got charged for all of them. A little expensive."

  • "Meal, service, ambiance and cleanliness were Great! Manager came by and asked how was everything. Live music during dinner before Los Lonely Boys concert upstairs! A+ Looking forward to our next visit!"

  • "The food was good, but not great. Prices were a little high on the food and quite high for the drinks. I guess that is so they can afford to bring in the bands. But, although the website says the band is going to be there at 6:00, they did not start until after 6:30. We did enjoy the music played by Ransom Bandits. I would go again to hear that band, but would not go just to eat the food."

  • "Great band onstage and the food was great. Waitstaff very experienced and friendly!"

  • "The service was good and the music was great! Enjoyed the evening."

  • "We ordered the Voodoo shrimp. The cornbread was practically cold. The sauce was like a salty gravy. Shrimp were cooked well. My friend ordered the lobster mac&cheese. There were literally six bits of lobster in the dish. We felt totally cheated! The steak was very tasty. The mashed potatoes were almost soupy. I guess they'd been over beaten. I don't think I'll return to this location. Finally, our waiter was not attentive. He was MIA until he delivered the check."

  • "rubber fish and soggy beans. Live band had limited talent and their microphones were turned up way too high. Plenty of better options for a pre-concert meal."

  • "Table was available at the reserved time, no waiting needed. We had a great new waitress named Tara, where it was her first night on her own. Very energetic. We enjoyed the food and service so much, that we went there 3 times during our stay in Houston."

  • "Service was just ok. Ribs were overlooked and dry. Bit overpriced for quality."

  • "we enjoyed our dinner before going to a concert at House of Blues. The food was OK ... not great, not bad. the service we had was wonderful. Waitress very attentive and made it easy for us to take our time as we were in no hurry to get to the concert. if we go to another concert at House of Blues would certainly consider eating at Crossroads again."

  • "My wide and I celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary by enjoying a meal and concert. We really enjoyed the Voodoo shrimp and fish tacos. The band did a great job creating an ambience for the start of our evening. Later saw Danny Gokey concert small but very enjoyable time."

  • "The food is wonderful, great music, what more can you ask for on a date day for your husband.. During the day, it is kid friendly. If you're order is wrong, they are very pleasant in accommodating the mistake and getting you out the corrected order."

  • "I visited Crossroads at House of Blues for Father's Day. The environment was family-friendly (except for the customers who decided to play their rap music with their phones at the table next to us) and the staff were very professional. I normally like my food far more seasoned, but it was okay. I cannot see myself dining here frequently...the food is way too bland and making a customer spend $100 to use a $50 gift certificate is just wrong."

  • "Arrived @ 11:30am hardly anyone was there for Father's Day brunch. I thought they would have a jazz band playing for the occassion! Service & food were good however, for such a special occasion I expected more of an atmosphere. I would only return on a weekend at night."

  • "This place was unfortunately disappointing. We made reservations before a concert at the HoB and were disappointed by the quality of the food and mixed drinks. It is too expensive for what you get. We will not be returning."

  • "Crossroads was AWESOME! I made reservations the same day and when we arrived they got us a table as fast a you can say "Bob's your Uncle"! The food was to DIE FOR and came very fast! The cornbread was AMAZING! I highly recommend Crossroads!"

  • "I have been to the House of Blues for lunch several times and have always enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The food has been very good and always more than most can eat. The service is friendly. When they are at the height of the lunch hour and you are on a time budget, it might not be as relaxing, service might be a bit more challenging. The groups I have had lunch with at your restaurant were a range of ages, everyone had a good time and enjoyed their meal."

  • "We had a FABULOUS time.....the food was grate ...Service was Exceptional!!!! A little boy about 11 yrs old was singing & playing the guitar & he was AWESOME. Would love to see him there again! Ranaldo from the concert venue made our Double Date night VIP all the way! Will be returning soon & often."

  • "Really enjoyed the convenience of parking and the ease of in and out. My daughter attended a concert while my wife and I enjoyed lunch. We each enjoyed our selection. My Shrimp and Grits was well prepared and presented in a semi-deconstructed way. Very tasty! My wife enjoyed Fish Tacos and commented they were the best she's had. When the concert ended, we were able to retrieve our daughter from the crowd and make a convenient exit. Great afternoon!"

  • "I have loved visiting the House of Blues in whatever city I find myself in with one in it. My fiancee and I had our first date at a HoB in Chicago, so when we had the chance to stay in Houston, we wanted to visit and get some dinner and music. We were not disappointed. While the Sunday music was starting early (6pm), we planned on an early dinner that night. The food was good, worth the value, and the service was excellent. The band was a local one that plays there often according to the manager, and they did a great job of delivering a great show. If you find yourself looking for a place to eat, get some drinks with great atmosphere, don't overlook the House of Blues!"

  • "My husband and I went on a double date with our daughter and her boyfriend on prom night. The service we received was so bad we left her an $8 tip on a $120 tab. We NEVER do that. We typically give a 20% tip even when we are not quite happy with the service because we know it can be a tough job. We understood the manager screwed her over by giving her a big party in another room but she should have handed us off on someone else instead of completely ignoring us. Dishes piled up on our table it would take her 30 mins to bring us a beer and wine. We were there for 2 hours only because it took her so long to bring us what we asked for. We missed the concert we were trying to get to. So thankful I didn't purchased our tickets in advance."

  • "I loved the energetic atmosphere and the great food & drink options! I highly recommend the Hurricane... if you can handle it ;) And of course the band was so energetic and was the perfect kick-off to a fun filled night with friends! "

  • "My husband and I made dinner reservations for our anniversary! And we were not disappointed!! We arrived earlier than our reservation and had drinks in the bar, chatted with the band and received a pass to tour the Foundation Room! Exquisite! We LOVED the Cadillac Blues Band!! They were so much fun! We loved our table right up front!! We will definitely frequent House of Blues and Crossroads Cafe again! We are telling all of our friends how awesome it all was! The service was beyond GREAT...it was FABULOUS! Thank you to all that made our anniversary date night very memorable!"

  • "The concept is terrific: you go to a concert, and have dinner and/or drinks downstairs before the show. There is a Live Nation dinner package ($50 pp) for it. However, the fact proved to be way different. First, even with the package, you must make a reservation. Nowhere does it say on the ticket, we did, just in case. Good thing, because without it the wait was 90 minutes - tough for those who had the package but no rez: they either had dinner, or saw the show, but could not do both. Second, our waitress had absolutely no clue as to how to process the vouchers. She had to get a manager. And third, she forgot to get us the included "pass the line coupon" as well. Food was OK, but small and overpriced ($29 for a 8oz max overcooked NY Strip)."

  • "This place has the same quality of food as a Chilli's, or Applebee's. Which is to say, nothing special. Cost was a bit excessive. Service was decent. But, since there is a great Spanish tapas restaurant next door, I will only be back to HOB for the concerts."

  • "My family and friends dined at HOB on Mother's Day evening. The shrimp & grits... devine! and my Mom really enjoyed her Burger as well! The manager came by several times and truly wowed us with his generosity, sense of humor and caring nature. I unfortunately have forgotten his name. We were celebrating two Moms and my brother's birthday, part of our group of 7 went on to enjoy the concert. We will definitely be back to try some of the other mouth-watering menu selections or I may have to have the shrimp & grits again! Thank you for making our Mother's Day so special!!"

  • "We were looking forward to our first time at the famous House of Blues! The staff seemed nice however the food was not great. Three different items we asked for on the menu were "sold out" and they didn't bother to offer any alternatives or suggestions. The other items we ordered were ok but certainly not worth the price for chicken or a burger. It was just a disappointing trip!"

  • "Had a reservation at 7:15 PM before concert, arrived at 7 and asked to return 10 minutes later. Returned and asked to continue to wait. Waited 10 minutes and asked how long more and even though we were standing next to the reception, the attendant realized she should have taken us to our table 10 minutes before (which happen to all that were waiting). Once we sat I received a text message indicating that our table was ready. We then had to wait for 10 minutes before we could get any beverages. We ordered food and it took about 40 minutes for the food to arrive. Luckily the concert was at 9 and we made it just in time. HoB needs better coordination and more staff."

  • "Made a reservation for 6.15pm, arrived 15 mins before, checked in and went to the bar......2 hrs later after repeatedly checking when our table would be ready we were seated. Seems the staff didn't want to upset people at the tables (who were finished eating and paid up) by asking them to free them up for waiting diners by moving to the bar. Sorry HoB but your customer service sucks."

  • "After a couple of emails and a phone call reminding me of my reservation and a warning that it would be cancelled if we were more than ten minutes late. We were seated 35 minutes after our scheduled time. Waitress took our drink and food order at the same time. Drinks took 15 minutes and food another 15 minutes after that. Waitress acted like she could care less. If you are going to a concert at the HOB , make sure you allow 2-3 hours. We however , will not be going to Crossroads again. "

  • "First time there, there a for a show. Got there earlier than expected but were able to be seated right away. Food was good, but our server was fantastic-knowledgable and attentive, friendly but not overbearing. would go there again whether or not we were going to a show. Overall impressed despite it being a chain of sorts."

  • "The was our first time eating at Crossroads at House of Blues. We were looking forward to trying Aaron Sanchez's food. We ordered a pork chop which literally arrived on the plate with the bone scorched black, the meat dry and flavorless. We also ordered the fried chicken which was also so dry we could barely eat it. The best part of the meal was the mashed potatoes. After ordering an appetizer, drinks, two entrees and leaving a tip (our waitress was clearly new and terrible) our bill was $130.00. I will never try Crossroads again. I think Aaron Sanchez would be mortified to know his food was being prepared and served in this manner. Save your money and eat somewhere else before your show! It's not worth the money!!"
