The shrimp po boy was lacking flavor and the bread was too hard to eat. The juicy Lucy was amazing though. Just disappointing my wife's meal wasn't the best. Great server.

Amazing customer service! Amazing food! Food is better than expected! Took my 2 yr old and my 3 yr old and they were having a blast! Love this place! Affordable. Surprisingly not too loud for live music and a bar in the same area as the dining area! Definitely going back!

Not at all what I expected. I was in Chicago, from NY, on business. I thought CHoB would be very touristy and loud. I was pleasantly suprised at the smaller, intimate atmosphere. Great food, supurb service, awesome menu and pricing! I plan to go back before I return to NYC. Plus, the MUSIC!!! NYC needs to take a lesson from Chicago!

Crossroads is a great place for dining and drinks before you attend any concert at the House of Blues! You even get to stay inside and jump the line as long as you spend $20 a person, which isn't hard to do, the food portions fill you up and some! If you plan on eating and drinking for the night I would easily budget $200 for drinking, eating, and you cant forget Parking! If you are parking in the city learn from me and don't park in the garages until after 4pm! it will save you $15.

Loved the street tacos, drinks, service, and the Blues band. Lobster mac n cheese was delicious but overpriced at $21 considering there was very little lobster. You can get a 1 lb lobster at cost on Wednesdays at Devon seafood.

First performer was ok but second group was great. The Chicago Blues and Rhythm Kings were superb! Stayed for two sets and wish we could have stayed for the remainder of the show. Definitely a group I will look for in the future. Given the size and type of venue, the sound system could have been better. Credit to the sound mixer for trying his best. Food was mediocre but then you do not go there for gourmet dining. Service was above average. Will definitely do this again in the future though.

What a Great place!! the entertainment was spectacular!! Mike Wheeler and his band were so energetic and talented!! they had Everyone dancing in their seats up next to them in the way of the wait staff, EVERYWHERE possible. He strolled the aisles playing his guitar and getting everyone involved. The ease of making my reservation from you was the BEST. All weekend, we ran into theres a 4 hour wait, etc, and to be able to come right in,,,,, so wonderful!! thanks

I had made reservations through Open Table AND called House of Blues well in advance to confirm my reservation, since we were coming in from Ottawa,Canada to do the Chicago marathon, I wanted to make sure all was reserved in adavance to accomodate my group. When we got to The House of Blues, They did not have my name or my group on their computer system?! I was very dissapointed with Open Table and makes me doubt their efficiency as of now. Luckily, the restaurant manager was able to shuffle things around and was able to accomodate us!

Good restaurant and good American Quisine. Good portions; some way too big. Food was fresh. Ok prices. Live music was, at times, too loud during dining. Had to yell across the table to have a conversation. Overall it was just ok.

Although the quality of the food was good and the prices reasonable, our experience was quite poor due to exceptionally poor service. Our server would disappear for extended periods of time and when she did reappear, she frequently attended to nearby tables without looking in our direction. What was intended to be a relatively quick meal before a show turned into a two0hour ordeal. It took roughly 30 minutes from the time we ordered desert and coffee until it was delivered. In addition, we were seated right in front of the stage, making conversation (and ordering) nearly impossible, having to compete with the music.

We decided to dine here before the show we were seeing in the theater as a convenient one-stop affair. The service and food was very good, but there are no bargains to be had (it is a trendy place right in downtown Chicago, so I wasn't really expecting anything else). The lobster mac and cheese was a truly wonderful experience.

I don't think I would go to the House of Blues to specifically eat at the restaurant, but my friend and I found it very convenient to have a quick meal before a concert. The waiter was nice, if a bit slow taking our orders and bringing the food. After hearing they are vegetarian friendly, I was very disappointed to find no veggie entrees on the menu, so I opted for the grilled fish of the day, which was mahi mahi. Luckily, it turned out to be a great meal. My friend ordered the Juicy Lucy burger, and was happy with it as well. Would definitely eat there again before a show.

The music, and service were excellent; however, the food was mediocre considering a 'top' chef (Aaron Sanchez) designed the menu. The ambiance was good, but the seats are extremely uncomfortable, probably on purpose so you won't want to stay very long. I would only recommend it for the music, and drinks. Not for a meal.

If you want to go to a loud chain style restaurant, this is it. I had much higher expectations for the decor and the atmosphere and that is probably my fault. However, we joked at dinner how there wasn't one table having a good time. I get there is supposed to be live music but there is a volume that works and a volume that doesn't work.
