  • "Dinner was great! From the quesadilla appetizer to the wonderful entrée (I had the Shrimp and Grits...to die for!) and remained delicious to the shared Key Lime Pie. Atmosphere was rockin', service was great and the group on stage was a wonderful find and a perfect finish to our big day out in Chicago."

  • "Extensive menu and friendly efficient service. Prices are very reasonable for a hot spot Loop location."

  • "My husband and I loved the food. Our waitress was funny. But, we didn't like the band that night. It was so loud, I couldn't even speak to my husband the entire time."

  • "Our waitress was awesome, fun atmosphere...a little pricey, but to be expected for a place like this."

  • "Stayed in the Hotel Chicago and walked over for dinner! Food, music, drinks and even the price was acceptable. It was a just a great experience!"
    Dined on 3/30/2014
  • "We sat close to the band, as I had requested, but we could only view a tiny fraction of the performance. There was a huge speaker blocking our view of the stage, making the whole experience and ($100 bill) NOT worthwhile. Very disappointing."

  • "Good food and the wait staff was pretty nice as well. I would go back again as the prices were acceptable and the menue was large enough not to get tired of it. We really liked the way it was decorated with enough memorabilia to keep your eyes busy for hours. Very cool! ! !"

  • "Our family has wanted to visit the House of Blues - Chicago for a number of years and this spring we finally did it. This is a fun establishment, great decor, great music, helpful and dedicated staff and overall some pretty good food and drinks."

  • "This was booked for a guys night out. Great service and selection of beers, headed to concert after."

  • "Music was amazing, the staff fantastic and friendly- one of our best nights in Chicago- totally amazing!"

  • "Our family had a great time here, the music was fantastic, a local guy played guitar for a bit, then a band came on for a while. We ate, had dessert, and some beers. Great time had by all. Best of all, it was right around the corner from our hotel."
    Dined on 3/8/2014
  • "They had good service good food and an awesome band..."
    Dined on 3/16/2014
  • "This was my first time I loved the atmosphere but the food was not very good and neither was my drink. I had a margarita and for $9.50 it came in this very small glass and normally Margaritas come in larger glasses than that. For my entree I had the ribs and they were not very good at all."

  • "We were very disappointed in that this was the House of Blues and they did not have a live band in the dining room. It was St. Patricks day weekend and all they had was extremely loud Irish music over the speakers. We have been here before and had great food and music. We were not impressed with the new menu. It will be a while before we go back."

  • "Probably the best Cajun/Zydeco restaurants in the city. That it is attached to the House of Blues just makes it that much better for a one stop experience. Menu prices are very affordable and the service before, during, and after your visit is exceptional. The after work music was at a comfortable level for conversation. Are dinner reservations were at 5 PM because we had theater tickets for 7 PM across the street. Since the music didn't start until 6:30 PM (Began on time) we felt like we were a bit early but still a very enjoyable experience."

  • "My wife and I had tickets to a concert at House of Blues Chicago. I remembered years ago they had a Pass the Line benefit if you ate at the restaurant. I was happy to find they still offered pass the line and was also anxious to see if the new menu created by celebrity chef Aaron Sanchez was an improvement. We were pleased with the quality of the food and the value of the meal. We recommend the fresh fish sandwich and the Spicy Chicken Pasta. The service was also very good. But most of all, we got to watch the show from the front row, and that was worth a lot to us."

  • "Not being local, we didn't know what to expect. The dining was great, the wait staff made several recommendations for dinner, and we chose 2, that were both fabulous. That said the portions were huge! The wait staff was very helpful in walking us through the process of getting in the correct line for the 'pass the line' entry into the concert, and even kept checking on the line to get us there with the minimum standing in line. They even brought us plastic cups for our adult beverages, so we could take them with us."

  • "My wife and I took our 2 teenage children on a Friday night and had a great time. My son commented he'd like to own a place like this. The place has a lot of character."

  • "Very good spot for dinner and music. Food is outstanding!"

  • "Was a great night for us. First time for us also. Food was fantastic. Only real concern was that it was so busy that getting drinks during dinner took a little longer than I would have liked but that gave us more time to enjoy the music. Also if you are going to see the show you need to make sure you get the "Pass the line" signed on your receipt. Gets you in ahead of everyone off the street to see the concert. We had a wonderful time at the show."

  • "Knew music would be good, but the thoughtful menu and tasty food was a surprise. Selection of burgers and entree salads, some with an unusual mix of flavors and ingredients, meant this was not a dinner we'd had before."
    Dined on 3/4/2014
  • "First time in years for most of the crowd of six. The service was excellent and the food was also excellent. It was late Sunday afternoon so there was no crowd. Highly recommend the place and the food. Not too pricey."

  • "This place is ok if you are a tourist. We live in the area and came out for a special occasion, but after knowing real blues, this was not it. If you're looking for real blues, this is not the place. If you take it for what it is, you won't mind."

  • "We enjoyed a couple of apps, drinks, and the live entertainment. I don't think you can go wrong with this restaurant."

  • "Great place for food, drinks and live music. Our server, Don was very attentive and quick. The spinach artichoke dip was great, you could tell it was made there, there was lots of spinach in the dip. I ordered the porkchop, the pork chop looks like it is over an inch thick, it was cooked perfectly through. My boyfriend ordered the pasta with chicken, it had a good spicy taste to it. The Key lime pie was very light, not heavy. There was a performer playing when we got there, so it was nice to have dinner and see a show."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the House of Blues. The food was great and our service was outstanding -- both from our server and the manager. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations about dishes that we should try. I would like to try their Gospel Brunch at some point in the future. I have already recommended this restaurant to several friends."

  • "The food was awesome we had the Voodoo Shrimp, Shrimp and grits and the Juicy Lucy Burger. The service was fantastic and the only comment I have is the music that was suppose to be there did not show up. That would of made the visit enen better."

  • "We went here for Valentine's Day and it was such a sweet surprise! The live music and good food was such a great experience!"

  • "I've been to Chicago hundreds of times but never made it to House of Blues before. On a frigid Chicago night, it was great to walk into such a warm place (literally and figuratively). I dined alone but the serving team went above and beyond to make sure I didn't feel alone$ The staff is very accommodating, making several helpful recommendations to finalize your selection from a wide-ranging menu with many tasty options. The guitarist for the night played as if it was a full house though it was an intimate crowd. I'll definitely come back the next time I'm in town!"

  • "The service was good, and the food was just okay. The band was exceptional and I will receommend the restaurant first for the music, then the service, and lastly the food."

  • "We decided on HOB for our last date night out before our daughter arrives next month. We were so incredibly pleased with the staff, food, and beverages (for my husband of course :-) We stayed for the show after and we were met with the most courteous and polite staff members who accommodated us fully!! An awesome experience that I would love to repeat every year!!!"

  • "Located below the House of Blues main stage, Crossroads is every bit as good for food as its upstairs companion is for live music. The flavors are bold, the presentation was just right, and the service was spot on. The cornbread with maple butter should not be missed as a sure fire way to jump start your tastebuds... The perfect combo of jalapeños and cheese topped with maple butter. Mouth watering street tacos, a delicious jambalaya, and a mouth watering key lime pie rounded out a great night in River North. It's a little on the spendy side, but you get what you pay for. Celebrity chef Aaron Sanchez strikes again!"

  • "Excellent service and food! We had the grilled Salmon, very good! We really enjoyed the blues music during dinner, love the decor of this place. It's a whole night out, though we had tickets to the show afterward. No wait which was great!"

  • "The blues and down south are evident in this restaurant with generous portions and very responsive service. Casual to semi-casual dress go well with the setting. A place you would go more than once to sample the creations."

  • "My husband and I love attending concerts at The House of Blues Chicago, and we always make sure to have dinner at Crossroads first! Not only is the food outstanding, but by dining before the concert, it gives you the advantage of "skipping the line" and getting in the doors ahead of everyone else. We've never ordered anything that we weren't happy with. Our favorites are the Voodoo Shrimp, the Meatloaf dinner, St. Louis Ribs and the Shrimp Po Boy. Although like I said .. EVERYTHING we've tried has been great! Will definiately remain frequent diners at Crossroads House of Blues Chicago!"
