  • "Great place for the entertainment, but don't expect anything special for food--menu offerings were pretty standard fare. Drinks are somewhat expensive--$13-16 for specialty cocktails and $5-7 for beers--but entertainment should be factored into the cost of drinks."

  • "I went with my wife to a 7pm reservation precisely because of having live music scheduled from 6:30-8:30 nightly in a non-concert setting (music is a free addition at this time, as opposed to ticketed shows at 9:00pm). The music didn't wind up starting until 7:35pm, and was a single singer / guitarist. He was talented, but not really what I'd expected from such a venue and an hour late; I wondered if there was a band scheduled that didn't show up, and this guy was a last minute backup plan, or if he was the act and simply came on late himself, or if HOB simply doesn't enforce much for their free music commitments. Meanwhile, the food was good -- overpriced, perhaps, but not excessive. It reminded me of a step up from TGI Friday's."

  • "This was our 1st time at the House of Blues. We started at Crossroads for dinner, the food was great. We saw Woodstock Flashback. The 1st group was the Who's Who Tribute band. I did not care for this and it was way too loud. The second group was Creedence Clearwater Revival Tribute band, it was great. Grateful Dead Tribute was next, we missed this one because one of the couples we were with wanted to leave. I am sorry we missed that one. The place was so interesting I would go back."

  • "The waitress was very attentive and friendly. Food was nothing memorable but good. Unfortunately, people speak very loudly, and it is impossible to listen to the music, that is the main reason someone goes to a blues house. Maybe if you can sit close to the stage, you will enjoy the music."

  • "The food was great. I ordered the rigatoni in tabasco flavored pasta sauce topped with Chicken breast. It was amazing. The server wasn't the best. It seemed everytime we tried to get her attention, another couple would get her attention, and she would go the other way. We spent a lot of time waiting to get our servers attention, especially since we needed her about 6 times. And we were kinda of pressed for time since we had concert tickets. And then, our tickets that we just purchased, were for May 18, 2014. We had a coupon on our ticket for dinner for 15% off. But it had an expiration date in 2012. That is a year and a half ago on a ticket that I just purchased. I was not happy about that because that makes no sense. "

We were four diners who all ordered different meals and each and every one was EXCELLENT. Typical downtown prices, a little higher than we would normally pay, but the food was worthy. We all agreed if we were back in the area we would return and recommend the Crossroads and use OPEN TABLE to make reservations. "

  • "My husband found this place on line while planning our trip to chicago. We areso glad we came to the house of blues. We had a great time. The food was oustanding and the waitress was very good. She gave me some pointers on tbe menu. I had the turkey burger that was outstanding. My hubby had the french dip it was great he said. We even bought some tshirt and a hoodie.   • "After a revamp, the food is better than ever. In the past, it has been my "go to" restaurant for convenience pre-show. THAT has changed. The quesadillas have 3 options: cheese, chicken, or steak. They are made fresh. Do not hesitate to ask for ingredient adjustments. My friend did, and they were happy to oblige. Try the Caesar Salad! The add-on shrimp were HUGE! I will be happy to visit again. Our server, Samantha, was wonderful! Everyone was friendly, from Reception to table runners/busboys."

  • "We got there for our reservation at 4pm, which resturant was just opening. We were seated quickly. Our drink orders were taken right away but took a while to come to the table (the table next to us was served drinks and appetizer before us, and were seated after us) We ordered the Portabello Mushroom sliders= FANTASTIC!! There were 3 of us dining, two ordered the "Shrimp & Grits" and I orderded the Steak w red potatoe and Green beans, I would honestly say BEST STEAK I HAVE HAD! For 3 of us our bill came close to $120 with 3 meals, a bloody mary $8, a couple blue moons and a glass of wine.... so actually not badly priced at all... Will DEF be going back to eat again. "

I had salmon which was the fresh fish of the day and my husband had the street tacos, both were very good. I would go again!! Our service was a bit slow considering the place wasn't that packed but we didn't mind."
