Diner Reviews
  • "Had a blast. The only problem was we had reservations and didn't get sat until an hour after our reservation time ."

  • "The food was very slow coming to the table. But the waitress was friendly. She hooked us up with pass the line tickets for our show. We where very happy with that. Over all it was an ok dining experience except for the booth behind us had little kids with their parents. And they where the parents who don't care if the kids scream and holler. I think there should be no kids allowed into a bar even with food. Kinda ruined the experience of being there."

  • "My family, including a 15 year old, really enjoyed our meal and experience at House of Blues, Anaheim. The food was exceptional, more than your average restaurant fare. I had the shrimp and grits with a garlic chipolte creme sauce. Delicious! My husband enjoyed the Jambalaya with blackened shrimp. He loved it. My daughter said her club sandwich was the best meal of the trip. The ambience is casual, laidback and welcoming. The bar looked inviting and probably really gets crowded into the evening. House of Blues is fine for families but you should probably eat dinner a little earlier to avoid the bar scene. Excellent dining experience and highly recommended."

  • "If you like good food and a different place to enjoy it. The House of Blues is the place to go. Seating is good and the service is great."

  • "The staff was great when we asked about gluten-free options and had some great suggestions along with sending the chef out to go over options with us."

  • "Fries tasted like rewarmed frozen. Burger was the turkey part Jamaican, too salty. BBQ pork sliders were cold and the blackened chicken street tacos were tough and seed rewarded not juicy like at the Florida crossroads. This one in Anaheim needs to have some better quality food put out to the customer. The waiter was fine, no complaints."

  • "Took my Boyfriend here as part of his 25th birthday weekend at Disneyland. It was very loud, more so then other times I had been here so it was hard to hear each other. Our server was MIA for the first 10 minutes, someone else greeted us and then another person took our drinks and yet another took our order. Took a long time also for our first round of drinks to show up. My boyfriend loved the ceiling art/ details and the food."

  • "This restaurant is in Downtown Disney, which is a part of the Disneyland Resort, IMHO...and my party of 7 was seated separately on a Saturday evening (even after a table opened up right next to mine!!) We were seated at 2 separate tables far from each other that seated 4 people... Hmm, it didn't seem like any employee was too concerned about our positive experience. My steak salad was good, my friend's macaroni and cheese was cold. Another friend's bill said her suggested tip was $10.67 for her meal that was $10.74!!! We all got a good laugh at that one... Jordan saved the evening, though, and ended up seating my 4 friends at a table next to mine."

  • "I took my husband here for his birthday before a concert. We both liked the ambiance and felt like it set the tone for the evening. The food was delicious. He ordered the jambalaya and I had the pulled pork. Our waiter was very friendly and the souvenir mason jars we got with our drink orders are a fun way to remember a great night!"

  • "This location is in Downtown Disney so the atmosphere is very loud and busy. The food is good and they are making an attempt to elevate their menu. Dessert, specifically, the chocolate mousse, was not done well. It had good flavor but a grainy texture that was wrong for a mousse. The service was very good and although we didn't ask, our server had the manager come speak to us about the dessert. They also took the charge for the mousse off of our bill, again without us asking. Overall, if you don't mind a boisterous environment, this is a good choice for a meal in Downtown Disney. Make a reservation if you don't want to wait!"

  • "Dined at Crossroads Anaheim in Downtown Disney on 3/8/14 in order to Pass the Line for the bight's HIM show. Reservations for 4:00 but our taxi was late picking us up due to that weekend's convention. I was very easily able to bump up to 4:45. We arrived at 4:32 and were sat immediately. Our drink orders were taken promptly as well as our dinner orders. Our waiter was polite, helpful and answered all our questions. He checked in on us frequently but not so much that he was a nuisance. Our party ordered the half rack of ribs, a grilled chicken Caesar salad and the Classic Club Sandwich and everything was delicious! Great way to grab dinner before a show and get in the venue before the ridiculous crowds. The venue is tight so this is a must!"

  • "We had reserved ahead of time and requested a booth. Once we got there we were told they were waiting to bus the table and for me to have a seat at the bar, as I waited I watch the table empty of people but full of dirty dishes for over a half hour? Why? I talk to the hostess "Amy" and she said she was just waiting for it to open. FInally after a long wait it was open, we order waters at first, when my water came for some messed up reason there was a ton of salt poured into the glass, my husband tasted it and confirmed and we told the waiter who took it away but never offered another. We got our food we order which was ok but my daughters was the wrong sides we asked for."

  • "our waiter was the best, he was on point and was always checking in on us to make sure we were good. it was a bit crowded but other then that , great !!"

  • "Service was slow and forgetful. Started with artichoke spinach dip. It was the best part of meal. I had the Shrimp Po Boy. Although the shrimp seemed hand battered, the roll was too big, and dry. Jambalaya, was dry and flavorless. Overall, a real letdown. We had skip the line vouchers, so we had a $20.00 credit each, could never imagine paying $80.00 for that dinner, including 3 glasses of wine. We will go elsewhere next time."
    Dined on 2/28/2014
  • "We were seated promptly. Service was a little slow but it was peak hour. I never did get a refill on my Shirley Temple. The shrimp po'boy was on the pricy side but the portion was huge. Overall a good experience."

  • "The music (which wasn't even blues, more 90s rock) was so loud we couldn't speak to each other at dinner. We were literally sat next to the railing that divided the bar from the restaurant, so people were sitting over us. We requested to be moved twice as we had kids in our party but were denied. The food was very poor and way overpriced, even for this location. I will say the Voodoo shrimp was good but the caesar salad was completely made from the inner yellow bitter romaine leave and all the entrees were lacking in flavor and very small portions. Very disappointing! I would have much rather stayed in Disneyland and ate at one of their sit down restaurants - it would have been less money and much better quality!"

  • "I was at Disneyland with my BFF, and we decided to give the HOB a try. I hadn't been there in about 8 years. Despite being incredibly busy, they took us in right on time. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgable, and attentive. The food was great! I'm not even a fan of Aaron Sanchez, but I'll tell you what: the man's recipe for Spinach Artichoke Dip is off the chain! I highly recommend the HOB. It's loud in there though, so be prepared."

  • "We've been to many locations of the HOB franchise. We made a reservation for 715. When we arrived, we were told that our table wouldn't be available for another 20-25 minutes. They said they would send us a text message when the table was ready. Why didn't they send a text in the first place to say there was a delay then? We browsed in the shops for 45 minutes, no text. We went back and I asked about our table. They then said, 'Well, we can seat you now.' Where was the text? No explanation & no apology. It would've been nice to hear, even if it wasn't sincere. Meanwhile, there was plenty of available seating! Granted, they may have had a dinner rush, but.... Food was as expected (great), but we won't go back to this location:(("

  • "I made reservations Saturday night for a party of 7 for 6pm. The 1/2 hr wait wasn't the bad part it was they took forever to even come to our table, they finally took our order for drinks and get my order wrong. . We were seated by the back wall on the side of the bar and people kept slipping. I was with 5 ladies and 2 guys and two of the ladies I was with slipped and almost fell pretty bad and it was embarrassing. we've been to plenty of House of Blues EVENTS and all of us were unhappy about the service and my food was cold!!! Wont ever go back there again."
    Dined on 2/16/2014
  • "The hostess was very nice and the waiter, Ish, was very helpful and energetic. Over all the food was very good, but the snap peas were a little salty. The Voodoo shrimp was very tasty and i was pleasantly surprised that the jalapeno cornbread was covered in the same sauce as the shrimp. It was very tasty and I will have this appetizer again. I was very happy with the music that was being played that night. It was a nice assortment of music that I grew up with and I enjoyed it."

  • "We went to the House of Blues for a late night dinner. We were in town for a tradeshow. The food was awesome. I got the lobster mac and cheese and it couldn't have been more delicious. We sat inside near the bar as it was a little chilly outside. There was a weird smell that brought down the overall experience greatly. Not sure what that was about, but the food was great. We went to the House of Blues again for a supplier event. It was held in the outside bar upstairs. The food was again AMAZING and there were no weird smells up there. Good place to go."

  • "The food was great. My date had the bacon wrapped meatloaf and the taste very good. I had the spicy chicken and that was perfect. I liked that it was very spicy and the blend of spices gave the chicken and pasta a nice kick. The margarita in the mason jar that you got to take home was cool. The House of Blues in a Anaheim in Downtown Disney is a great place to dine with so much atmosphere surrounding it. I went to the one in Las Vegas and we had they're Breakfast. The best breakfast in Vegas, would definitely recommend!"

  • "This place is awesome! Our server was beyond friendly and very attentive. The food was excellent, trying new menu items and classics. Will do again!"

  • "We went there on my wife's birthday and spent a hundred bucks for the two of us. I get home and find an additional charge on my card. I NOW have to spend my time calling them and trying to get it removed and if not will have to deal with the bank and sooooo on and on and on..... This was not worth the hassle."
    Dined on 1/25/2014
  • "Overall, nice restaurant. Service is good. Food is alright. Limited menu in my opinion. Birthday celebrants receive a free scoop of sorbet."
    Dined on 1/25/2014
  • "I know all restaurants are pretty pricey in Downtown Disney, but I decided on this one because I thought the menu had a variety & prices didn't seem unreasonable. I had never been to this place or any other HOB before. The bar is connected to the restaurant inside & there was a football game going on. It was very loud & noisy from the bar & the restaurant is pretty small. Our son was scared of the noise & covered his ears, which he doesn't do often, he's used to noise. So I wouldn't recommend eating here during any kind of sporting event due to noise from the bar area. It would have been more pleasant to eat outside, but it was cold. The food overall was pretty good. If you are looking for a sports bar type place this would work fine."

  • "Place was ok. Food was good, but nothing to write home about. Just as others say, the place is really loud inside, but we made due. Cool place to check out. Our server was great. He was busy helping all of his tables constantly, but always stopped by to check on us, and get everything we needed. Plus he had a great attitude. Thanks for having us!"
    Dined on 1/19/2014
  • "I've been to the location before and don't recall the loudness and slow service, maybe they were over busy, as we had a reservation and still waited. 25+ minutes passes our time and had actually checked in 15 minutes early. The service was ok but nit great our food took an extra long time to get to our table and really wasn't hit, sort of heat lamp warm. Overall experience was disappointed. Thankful we had the reservation as those without were being told 1 hour 45 to 2 hour wait. I would only recommend going there if attending a show (we weren't there for a show) for the early entry opportunity for diners."
    Dined on 1/18/2014
  • "Food was good so was service. Definitely NOT a "notable wine list." A few things I didn't care for were: -When we checked in the hostess said when you make on-line reservations your name goes to the top of the Wait List, you are not seated right away. Luckily we had an early dinner so we waited 10 minutes. -Every time the waiter passed by our table he asked us if we were ready to order dinner, even before we ordered appetizers. He wanted to turn over those tables right away. We felt rushed. -My Salmon was undercooked, almost sushi level inside but the restaurant replaced it for a new plate."

  • "This is a good place to unwind after trekking though the Disney parks all day. The food is good and ambience is too. Be sure to make a reservation through the open table app in the AM to keep from waiting at the door."
    Dined on 1/17/2014
  • "It's a Disneyland restaurant, so the prices are high. But the service was fantastic! The food was just okay... it didn't wow me, but I also had zero complaints. And the beer was really good :D"

  • "Great place for live music or a Parent getaway in downtown Disney."

  • "Even with a reservation we waited about an hour for a table."
    Dined on 1/11/2014
  • "OK place to dine (sit outside if you can), because it noisy as all get out inside. Why = always jam packed bar scene that's really loud no matter where you sit."
    Dined on 12/27/2013
  • "Had the chicken street tacos and they were delicious. My son had the kids mini burgers and guess what they were actually made with real meat Ha- HA Typically when you order off the kids menu in a restaurant they dumb it down by serving pressed patty mystery meat . Overall really good place to eat. Considering it was in Disney the price wasn't too bad either."

  • "Keeps going down hill.... Once they took their calamari off the menu, that was a new low. 2 years later we come back only cause we were catching a show there. Ordered the steak, out of steak knives. Had to use a butter knife to cut it. Ordered a stout, she comes back with a grapefruity ale of some kind. Send it back and find out they haven't had what I wanted (still on menu) for over a week. Nice of them to just bring me something random instead...NOT! send it back and I don't want anything else to drink at this point. Waitress says "I took it off your bill" oh....OK THANKS! very nice of you to take something off my bill that I didn't order nor did I drink. Just a tourist trap with sub-par food. PASS"
