A word from Crop Bistro
Since its June 2007 launch in the heart of Cleveland’s Warehouse District, Crop Bistro & Bar has grown into the city’s most innovative restaurant, featuring a distinctive menu of inventive American cuisine, built upon foundations of freshness, flavor, and whimsy.

Crop Bistro is currently open at our new location in Ohio City. The new location is a 1920's era bank building and houses a locally focused marketplace as well as a large private dining vault that will accomodate approximately 100 guests. Continued

  • "Our first visit to Crop was a leisurely lunch to see what all the talk about Crop was. The food was outstanding - the Mediterranean flatbed got our meal off to a great start. The place was not very busy, so we just took our time and spent close to two hours over lunch. The service was attentive but not invasive, and the recommendations were spot on. We absolutely will be returning."

  • "I took my nephew who is moving to Sweden here for a bon voyage dinner. I wanted something really special and Crop Bistro delivered. He knows food, so I was under the gun to pick a spot that he would enjoy. After comparing menus from all over town, I decided on Crop. We ordered appetizers, entrees, dessert and a bottle of primo vino. Everything that was set before us was perfect. It was a beautiful, inventive, nuanced meal in a classic yet contemporary setting. The desserts were so stunning, I almost took my first picture ever of a plate of food! And they were delicious, light and refreshing with unexpected flavor pairings. I recommend Crop Bistro if you're looking for a refined, understated, and completely satisfying dining experience."

  • "The wow factor begins with the internal architecture which is stunning. The service was of a high standard and all items of food appeared promptly but with an adequate interval that one did not feel rushed. Each dish looked amazing and tasted just as good as it appeared. Not a disappointing item was tasted by myself or my girlfriend throughout the evening. Our particular favourites were the Cherry bomb, Crispy pork belly, Mojo short ribs and the Cheesecake. We would strongly recommend the restaurant to our friends and will definitely return. Having moved back to the US from Europe, this restaurant is knocking on the door of a Michelin star."

  • "This is at least our 6th time at Crop. We live a 1/2 hour away. The food, as usual, is outstanding. Our waitress did a nice job. However, the noise level gets worse and worse. There must be something available to deaden the sound. When you can't talk to the person next to you, that is NOT good!!!!!! We keep hoping that something will change, but not so. I would recommend Crop, but state if you are looking for a moderate noise level, it isn't at Crop. Sorry ........."

  • "Great mixed drink creations. Very good wine by the glass choices. Excellent appetizers, including calamari and pork belly. Not crazy about my scallop entree... Especially when on my very first bite I crunched on sand. The salmon and short ribs that other got were delicious. Service was excellent. Definitely will return."

We tried the six-course tasting menu and were extremely pleased with the food and service. What a great location for this restaurant ... absolutely stunning décor.   • "I was in town from Miami, and one of the things I had to do while in Cleveland was eat at Crop. I wasn't disappointed. The only downside- my boyfriend is now asking for honey pepper butter on everything! Great job. Everything was delicious."

We loved the ambiance of the room. I read reviews that the the room was loud. However, we sat in the elevated, carpeted section and found the noise level to be just fine. It was definitely a great dining experience. I have already recommended Crop to friends."

  • "Our server was a bit too dude for me & should have offered the specials to begin with instead we had to ask. With that, all the other wait staff were very courteous & prompt. Food was to die for! Could have been more seafood options. Decent wine & cheese selection. If you go, the building is the highlight next to the food itself. I mean a 1920s bank restored to its original condition is just breathtaking!"

It was my first time at the restaurant and from the moment we walked into the door though the entire meal it was a wonderful experience. The dining room is beautiful.   • "I had heard from MANY people that Crop was THE place to go in Cleveland. I have to say I was slightly disappointed. The popcorn app was just ok - popcorn was slightly stale and then became soggy quick with the added flavors on it. The short ribs were just ok...partly my fault because I don't like a 'stuffed pepper' kind of taste but the meat hadn't been marinated in anything. The flavors came from the sauce on top only. My friend got the pork which he said was slightly cold. My mashed potatoes under the short ribs - lacking flavor. If you want a nice, trendy locale, go to Fahrenheit. Food is much better. While the building Crop is in is absolutely beautiful, it doesn't make up for what the food lacks. "

  • "I recently took a past client who was in town to Crop. We had a very nice dinner here. We started off with the Crispy Pork Belly and Grilled Scallops for appetizers. The only complaint I have with the apps was the temperature of the pork belly. I would have liked it to be a little bit hotter. It was served at room temperature. For dinner, I had the Walleye special and my friend ordered the Grilled Pork Paillard. I really enjoyed my meal. The portion size was just right and the flavors were nice. For dessert, we ordered the Chai Pudding Cup. There was way TOO much going on with this dessert. The textures of the Tea Jellies and Spiced Shortbread together turned us both off and we walked way from the dessert. I will definitely visit again!"

  • "This was our second visit to Crop, and while our first visit was very good, this one was excellent. The food was out of this world! The service was very attentive--we had 2 separate servers that both took care of our table of five. You are able to bring up to 2 bottles of wine per table, and we did bring some special wines, which we happily shared with our servers. It was a really fun night in every way!"

  • "Although the food was very good as was the service, I couldn't help but notice the "dissing" of the experience by some of the patrons. I iwould bet that practically everyone checked the internet before they came. The ambience was a former bank -- historic ceiling, marble columns, etc. Think that atmosphere screams "I am wearing jeans and a checked button down shirt!"??? I found that these lazy, gauche diners cheapened the experience. Funny, their dates were always in dresses looking nice, but the men somehow thought that dressing up was optional for a place like this. Would love to see a NO JEANS policy and at least a buttoned shirt instituted. "

We ordered the Balsamic popcorn and the Cherry Bomb, they were fantastic! My entrée was the Thai D bowl, I wasn't expecting a soup like texture. It sounded more like a stir fry type dish on the menu & that is what I wanted, so I was a bit disappointed as it was soupy and spicy for my tastes. That is what kept the experience from being excellent 5 star for me. I would LOVE to eat there again sometime though and try something different. "

  • "Creativity of the menu matched by execution (not always the case in restaurants with ambitious menus!). Superb service, unobtrusive but fast. And no pretension as regards reciting the specials (I tune out when any special has more than three adjectives associated with it e.g. "free-range artisanal sem-charred double-glazed..."). Portions more than adequate and the place is not so snooty it won't offer you a doggie bag. The only complaint I would have is that the noise level is high, but that is the price I gladly pay for the exotic and elegant setting (if ya wants high ceilings and bare floors and walls, ya gets loud noise!)."
