A word from Croissants Bistro and Bakery
As a child Croissants' Owner, Heidi Vukov, spent hours in her grandmother's kitchen in Germany, where European bakeries inspired her love for cooking. Since 1991, many loyal patrons have enjoyed Croissants' truly unique creations here in the heart of Myrtle Beach.

It is with great pride that Heidi now introduces this area's first low country Bistro, a lively nighttime version of Croissants...featuring innovative comfort food, perfectly matched wine list, a "Euro-cool" gathering place and prices you'll appreciate as much as the food!

Overall experience was very good. Had dinner here on New Years Eve. It was a price fixed menu and there were no substitutions (we actually have some picky eaters).. The food that I had was excellent, the veal breast, the beet salad and pork loin. The lobster bisque was extremely salty and not everyone could eat it. Some of the vegetables were extremely salty and no bread was served with dinner!! I would go there again.

We found this gem through Open Table & based on the positive reviews of "where the locals eat", we made our reservation. First time visiting Myrtle Beach. First time at Croissants. It was a very pleasurable & romantic dining experience. I am a former chef, pastry chef, & chocolatier, so I can be extremely "fussy" when I go out to eat with my girlfriend. Needless to say, we both had an excellent meal & do plan to go back for Valentines Day. Pssst.....try a few of the pistachio macaroons on your way home! We snuck ours into the Carolina Opry for a nice intermission snack. Also, I highly recommend the "Truffle frites" appetizer. Served with a truffle aioli, they were heavenly.

What a delightful and delicious dinner we had here. We started with the goat cheese appetizer which was excellent. Our entrees were appealing to the eye and palate. My husband had the crab cake appetizer converted into an entree. The kitchen had no problem with this accommodation. I had the cherry duck. Both dinners were thoroughly enjoyed.

We were in MB for the weekend. My sister and I had Saturday lunch here and it was so wonderful! We had a toddler with us and the staff was very accommodating. I even picked up a few Christmas presents from the bakery. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary there that night and it was so good! Our waitress went out of her way to make it a romantic dinner. The flounder was some of the best I have ever had. The Shrimp and grits were very good, not traditional. It was more of a "deconstructed" version. Dessert was delicious! Will come back on our next visit!

Being unfamiliar with the area, we found this restaurant through Open Table and what a treat! In a town filled with chain restaurants, it is great to find a local gem. Our host, Tre was warm and welcoming and our waiter, Mike, was fabulous. We took all of his suggestions and were not disappointed. The crab beignets, flounder & grits and shrimp & grits were delicious. The grits were unlike anything we had before and were even better the next day! Our meal was made complete by the triple chocolate mousse, incredible! Mike also explained the history of this nearly 20 year business, how it began as a bakery and extended into lunch and dinner with an emphasis on low country cuisine.

My wife and I made our second trip to Croissants after several days of a conference in North Myrtle Beach and were not disappointed. We had been the guests of a friend this past summer for dinner here and enjoyed it immensely. Our second trip did not disappoint. Perfect for a relaxed, quiet meal for two. We each had a different special for the night and shared one of their made daily deserts. Nice alternative to seafood buffets and other chains in Myrtle Beach.

We stumbled upon this lovely little spot a couple of years ago and make a point to eat there every trip back to MB. The food is top notch. I always feel like I'm eating in a small bistro in a major city. The menu is stellar...not typical MB fare. I would highly recommend. The service was fantastic.

Croissants was 360 degrees of spectacular! I have a restrictive diet that if I do cheat it cannot be with wheat or gluten. When I read they catered to gluten-free diets I booked the reservation. The peanut-encrusted tuna was spot on but dessert was divine! Triple chocolate mousse cake AND it was gluten-free! My sweet tooth has been neglected for 6 months and that cake was like sending my sweet tooth to a resort spa in France! My husband and I found our new date night spot!

Excellent menu and excellent suggested wine pairings with each menu entree. The entrees were fresh, very flavorful and more than enough for two meals. They have an assortment of decadent desserts that are irresistible if you have room for one after the main course. A fine dining experience and wonderful staff. This neighborhood gem was suggested by the staff at the resort. It looked very small and we were a bit doubtful, but we were proven wrong!! Had the turkey pimento cheese melt sandwich….delicious!!! My husband had his with the broccoli slaw and I ordered a side salad with the best blue cheese dressing I have ever had. Simple, but excellent. The turkey was the real deal…not deli. Went back for dinner. Had a wonderful meal accompanied by great music. You must get the crab beignets and the shrimp and grits. We are planning to get there again soon. Oh, and also they are a bakery…the pumpkin muffin was perfect!

This neighborhood bistro was highly recommended by friends. We were not disappointed. The food was outstanding. For appetizers we had onion soup that was dark and rich, and a wedge salad that was loaded with blue cheese and fresh bacon bits. For entrees, we had flounder topped with a maple glaze and shrimp and grits, over fried green tomatoes. Both were wonderful choices, although definitely Southern in preparation. We would highly recommend this bistro for dinner, but they also serve lunch and brunch on the weekends. As an added extra, there was live music by a vocalist to add to the ambiance. Since this is also a bakery, all of the deserts were baked on site, although we didn't have room to try any. They looked wonderful.

  • Beyond "The Strip"

    Dined on 10/24/2013
We visit Myrtle Beach once or twice a year for Senior Softball Tournaments. We're not fans of fried seafood and steakhouses, so Croissants was one of our first and luckiest finds beyond "the strip." We dine here every trip, both brunch and dinner, and it's been very consistent. This past trip we drove straight there at 8pm and enjoyed the live music set. Our seafood entrées were outstanding (scallops & flounder.) We dined again on another night, and my crab crepes were burned on the edges, had no veggies, and were covered with gummy sauce. The manager didn't seem to acknowledge the problem. No explanation or attempt to rectify. Despite this anomaly, we'll be back! And yes, the bread and pastries are excellent.

We were from out of town, so we did not know where to dine to celebrate a birthday. We live in a town where the food is exceptional (Durham). We read all the reviews, looked at the on line menu and knew this was the place! The food was fabulous, creative, tasty, with seasonal local produce. It was amazing! Everyone selected something different and each dish was beautifully presented and it was prepared just right. From pork, to grouper, to tuna and shrimp. All the meals were excellent. The desserts were divine. Great place- we will be back!

Love this place. We stop here every year on our annual visit to MB. Dinner is good, but brunch is my fav. Crab Cake Benedict is the ticket. Great bloody mary bar with lots of creative toppings you can add yourself. Bakery is top notch. Beautiful cakes and I especially enjoy the pumpkin bar when in season. You can tell it is a small family owned joint run with a lot of love. Never disappointed.

We chose Croissants over Franks for a special dinner out, and we were not disappointed. The wait staff were great and the food was even better. There is always something interesting on the menu, and for us being able to order locally sourced food is a plus. It beats the upscale chain Resturants handily. It's not a big place but the atmosphere is nice and the artwork is tasteful and much of it for sale. The baked goods are awesome.

I got the shrimp and grits and the favors and combination overall taste was wonderful. BUT the black bean sauce was almost cold, the grits were luke warm, the fried green tomatoes were pretty warm, and the shrimp was luke warm. It never makes any sense to me when a restaurant serves food that is not HOT. That is the most important thing. My husband's food was hot, so that tells me that my dinner waited on his. They need to bring the food out when it is ready and hot no matter if all food for the table is ready. I do not know if I will come back or not.

Although this restaurant has none of the stuffiness of some nicer restaurants, it has top-notch dishes to rival the best restaurants in much larger cities. And, since it is the beach, the atmosphere is comfortable - perhaps casually elegant. This would be a great place for lunch with girlfriends, or Sunday brunch with the family.

Usually we hit the House of Blues gospel brunch when in Myrtle, but their recent price hike sent us looking elsewhere. Croissant's was a great find. The food was great, the staff was welcoming, and the build-your-own Bloody Mary bar was a bonus. We will definitely be back! Shrimp and grits were great, the waffles were light and crispy, and the biscuits and gravy disappeared in a flash. My one complaint is that the chicken on my wife's Caesar salad was dry. Lots of local art on the wall, which I like to see.
