  • "Awesome experience all around! I brought my best friend for her 40th bday and she describe it as the best bday of her life. Everyone was so friendly and approachable. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was our seats. We we seated at the bar directly behind a servers stations and we couldn't see. I knew they were working so I just got up and walked around. That just gave me more reason to dance!"

  • "You must try grilled caesar salad. Half portion is enough for 2."

  • "My spouse and I attended "Drag Yourself to Brunch" on Sunday afternoon. The show, crowd, food and atmosphere were great. My only complaint is the extremely slow service. We were seated at 1:30 but didn't see a waitress until close to 2:00 pm. She took our drink order and it took another 10 mins to get water & coffee. When we were finally able to order (a burger and a crab cake BLT), the food came out in a reasonable amount of time; however, requests for condiments and drink refills were never fulfilled despite us asking three different servers. The show made up for the poor service; however, I recommend eating at another establishment before coming."

  • "I absolutely adore Croc's! It is such a funky fun bistro with amazing charm and atmosphere. The service is always impeccable and the beautiful fresh food is so well prepared and presented. I have taken visitors here on several occasions and they are always delighted. This past Saturday night my husband and I took a young cousin and her fiance for dinner. We all thoroughly enjoyed the alligator bites and calamari...both so lightly breaded and delicate you didn't feel like a bomb hit your stomach! I had the tuna tacos that were amazing...perfectly rare and sushimi quality! My husband was equally pleased with the scallops and linguini while our cousins enjoyed their risotto...thanking us over + over they want to go back!"

  • "Average restaurant. Not bad. Lot's of food. They give you big portions. The Sangrias were a lot more juice than alcohol in my opinion. It's a better restaurant to go to with friends or a group of people for a night out."

  • "I haven't been to Croc's in years. I used to work at the Raven and went to Croc's back then in the good ole days. I returned with that dying interest in how it was today. I was so, so impressed!! We ordered three menu items and shared. So glad we were sharing because the dishes were all amazing in flavor!!!! Cannot wait to go back!! We had the Tuna, the Lebanese Kabobs and the Seared Scallope over that incredible basil cream sauce !!!! Go, you will NOT be disappointed !"

  • "After hearing about Croc's for years, we finally dined there in Jan and came back Sat. The second time was just as good. However, you need to know what to order and what not to order. It's not a steakhouse, so stick to the seafood. Grilled caesar salad was great. The large served 3. The wine list was made even better by being 1/2 off night!"

  • "We haven't been to Croc's since the late 90's, early 2000. We used to dine there all the time back when we lived at the Oceanfront. Owner and mgt. have changed but still a great place. We first sat at the bar waiting for our table - the bartender was great. We first ordered a glass of wine - she checked the open bottle to make sure the wine had not spoiled (not something you see too often). It was a fairly pricey wine so we really appreciated that! Then we had a very nice booth table, charming server and a delicious meal. Just a delicious experience all the way around. Really enjoyed our time there and the whole dining experience. Happy Valentine's to us!"

  • "Great food and service. The oyster rocker feller was the best I've had in years and the scallops were delicious. The only negative was it was kind of loud from the bar crowd but the food made up for the noise."

  • "Table was not ready for our reservation time, so we sat in the bar and ordered predictably prepared cocktails. Once seated we attempted to order a wine flight, which the menu suggested could be selected from any wine by the glass offering, but were told it was only the "house wines". There is a suitable selection of Australian wines, and we enjoyed one of these. Service was generally slow, and when our food arrived it was not to the description on the menu. The food also seemed bland. One of our party had her dish doused in sauce, another had the same dish with little sauce. The place seemed rushed and understaffed, but that was probably due to a large private party on the deck area. Would probably try again because of this circumstance."

  • "The wife and I have frequent the Farmers Market that Croc's is so generous to offer their parking lot for on Saturdays. We have heard nothing but good things about the restaurant and have wanted to visit there. We live in Portsmouth so it is typically a planned trip and restaurant week came up so we made the trip. We were pleased and everything on the menu took our taste buds on the "I want it" journey. I was extremely impressed when I walked in the door and we were personally greeted by the owner and she was our hostess for the evening. She continually maintained full awareness of what was taking place in her place. We will be back."

  • "We were pleasantly surprised with the restaurant and will definitely return. Our food was great. At our table we had a shrimp appetizer, the main courses were tuna and chicken dishes and bread pudding and ice cream for dessert. The bar area had the obvious look of a Friday night favorite local spot - full but welcoming. The patrons ranged from suits to shorts and everything between. The restaurant area was nice with plenty of room."

  • "Came here as their website indicated a commitment to sustainable, organic & local. As organic vegetable farmers, it seemed to be perfect. We were seated, our server took our order; then waited 40 minutes for our salads. My husband's entree of locally made vegetable pot pie was a white-flour biscuit with a heap of mixed veggies, obviously from a bag of frozen veggies (perfectly cubed carrots, corn niblets, perfectly cut green beans & baby limas). We were shocked, since a sign said they had produce from a local farm. When we told the server we knew the veggies were previously frozen she denied it then checked with kitchen staff. After about 5 minutes, she snarkily explained that "of course since its winter we can't have local veggies"."

  • "Most of us got the french toast. 2 pieces of bread cut in half, 1 piece of bacon and a few tater tots. Not impressed at all and quite expensive $11 for that. One got chef salad and it looked good but joked that she couldn't get the dressing out of the cup due to it being extremely thick even tipping it upside down and shaking it. The tea was very weak and our alcoholic drinks seem a bit watered down. The drag part was pretty entertaining. Being from this area I had heard alot about Crocs but I guess they just aren't that good at brunch or maybe we made bad choices."

  • "I made reservations for my party, and our seats were at back of bar. Ordered food for three members of my party right away however didn't get food until after the other two members of my came got there 30 minutes after me. There was also a couple that didn't have reservations that came in after me that also got there found before me. I was told it was because of what I ordered. I ordered eggs, bacon, hash browns, and grits. The seats at back of bar limits what you see because of the people sitting in front of the bar"

  • "Wonderful selection of food and wine! Our server was top notch making sure we had everything we needed and that it was to our satisfaction. Love that they offer half meals which are perfect when you don't have a huge appetite. Great relaxing evening!!"

  • "Celebrated my daughter's birthday here. She has been to a drag show before but this was my first. Very disappointed with the "entertainment" which was mostly the entertainers collecting tips for pictures. Bored before the first hour and ready for it to be over."

  • "Experience was a little surreal. Walk to bistro from Atlantic Ave. was a bit of an effort. Building on outside does not look like very much. Inside had a neighborhood bar feel. Not many customers, but it was Tuesday. Waitresses were friendly, but removed wine glasses after we told her yes when she asked if anyone was having wine with dinner. Menu condition was "used" and messy. After all that the meal was fantastic. Gator bites were delicious. Eggplant parmesan ($15) was very good, and crab cakes ($28) were ALL CRAB and good sized! Youngest was not too keen on Mozzarella Chicken, but I tasted and thought it was great! Big portion as well. Sangria was $12 a glass, but had some kick to it. Skip the main drag food and eat here!"
