  • "The service was pretty good, however the portions are very small. I ordered the shrimp and grits because I had read such great reviews about it however it was not that great to me and it was more sauce than food. Def don't come hungry. The mimosas were pretty good and bottomless. That was really the best part. I've never been here for dinner but if the portions are anything like the brunch I would save my money."

The food presentation was very nice but, the taste was even better!! Our Waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about each dish. Great value."

  • "Creme's location, online menu, and appearance were promising, but unfortunately the food didn't live up to our hopes. Our salad came without any dressing, which the waiter realized and corrected when he came by about 10 minutes later. The crab cakes had bits of shell in every bite-- one or two is to be expected with a handmade crabcake, but there was so much that it was hard to get past it to enjoy the actual taste. The steak had good flavor thanks to a nice rub, but was rare instead of medium well as requested. On a more positive note, the coconut cake dessert was tasty- light and flavorful. Other than a forgotten steak knife, the service was decent and the waitstaff attentive."

  • "Both my wife and I really enjoyed Crème. The food was excellent. Perfect sized portions. I had the shrimp and grits; best I ever had. She had the short ribs and they were fantastic too. The ambience was excellent situated in the first floor of an old home in the Mount Vernon area. We were not rushed and the service was perfect. Will definitely go back."

  • "Came here for brunch on my birthday. The live jazz bad was a pleasant surprise, loved their music! The restaurant was pretty packed, but not overwhelming. Our server was very nice and was sure to check in with us, despite the Sunday brunch rush. The food was delicious! I will definitely be back!"

  • "My dinner was delicious. I had the braised short ribs entrée with spinach and au gratin potatoes. The ribs were extremely tender and delicious. My BF had the Teriyaki Salmon which was extremely salty for some reason. Not sure if the Chef was heavy handed with the salt not considering the salt level In teriyaki sauce, I'm not sure. Our waiter was not so good. He talked extremely fast and made it very hard to understand him. He was very rushed and brisk with our orders and tending to our requests. The ambiance is nice."

  • "I love everything about my visit to Crème! The hostesses were cordial and professional. The food was delicious! We went during Restaurant Week and let me say, they did not do as many others and only offer their least popular dishes. This menu was the best of the best. I couldn't believe the options...We wanted everything! We went for brunch and had the shrimp and grits (delicious), chicken and waffles (X2) Don't share these! Get your own. Trust me! We didn't have room for the French toast, but it looked amazing. The crab benedict (not the actual name of the dish) was the only disappointment. I won't give any details other than there was no lump crabmeat and nothing special about the dish. Skip it. But, everything else was amazing!"

  • "I came for my friends birthday on a Saturday night. We were seated right away, however the server who brought the water did not speak to us at all (which was weird). Next our server cam but he spoke really quickly and was not articulate- he almost seemed like he was high or something. The food was pretty good, but the salmon was just too salty. When my sister told our server how salty the salmon was, he just walked away without offering another option or sending the manager over or anything. The ambiance and atmosphere was very nice, so all in all I'd say it's worth checking out but the service needs to step it up!"

  • "We went on Friday night of restaurant week. The restaurant was not that busy and it took about 30 mins for the server to take our order. We got our appetizers in a reasonable amount of time, but it was over 70 mins before we received our entrees. We had shrimp risotto for our app - fine for restaurant week, but I would have been disappointed if I'd paid full price. It's a spoon of risotto smeared on a plate with 2 shrimp on skewers. It did taste great though. The meat and potatoes are to die for...hefty serving, tender beef. Scrumptious. Coconut cake and Chocolate mousse were also scrumptious. We had reservations to return for brunch, but decided to skip given our dinner experience. I would recommend this restaurant for take-out."

  • "We arrived at 5:55 for a six oclock reservation and the entire place was locked up and dark. I called the number and they informed me that they would be opening in five minutes. The doors opened at six and the staff was really not ready. They were still lighting all the candles and getting organized. There was one waiter for the entire place that night so it was a good thing we were the only group there at first. We attempted to order a beer from what he called a full service bar, but quickly realized they only had three varieties of bottles. It took almost 90 minutes for our appetizers to show up. When they did arrive, they were hot and excellent. Our meals arrived next and they were amazing but very small portions."

The portions were small and the valentines day menu was very limited. There are several better options for dining out within 2 blocks of this restaurant. In fact the previous restaurant at this address (Ixia can't quite remember the spelling) was much better. Shawn"

  • "I found out about this place through Groupon and was pleasantly surprised after I read all of the reviews. It was the exact opposite of what I read and I had a very nice experience. The wait staff was very attentive, our food came out quickly and was very delicious. We went for brunch and had the chicken and waffles and bottomless mimosa. The servers kept of flutes filled and we didn't have to ask for a refill one time. I would reccommend this place for brinch. I am going to try dinner next."

  • "We arrived at 1100 for brunch only to be hit with a broom full of whatever was being swept out of the restaurant. Bad start. We looked over the menu...nothing particularly exciting, mostly takes on 'benedicts', with hollandaise nearly omnipresent. I asked for grapefruit juice; the server said they have cranberry. Kinda the same thing, right? The kitchen fancies New Orleans: shrimp and grits and the work 'blackened' appear in the menu. The kitchen should try another tack. The sauce on the shrimp/grits was cold, too bad since it really only had to cover three medium shrimp -- that dish was $16. No, really. The 'blackened' salmon in the 'hash' wasn't; what I ordered only resembled what the menu promised if I suspend disbelief. Awful"

  • "This was my first time at Hamilton. They sat our party of 6 in the highly sought after private table with curtains in the back corner (which was super special). I slipped the waiter a note to please surprise one of the guests with a bday dessert and he obliged. Overall, everyone seemed to really enjoy their food. The wine list was superb. The sushi was just ok, but they said that's what they're known for. Recommend the chicken, short rib, and linguine with clams."

  • "I was so excited to try the brunch at Creme, especially their bottomless mimosas. It was my first time here and last. The food was nothing special. I had to ask our server several times to refill my mimosa. I looked around and noticed it was not just me. For a place the markets their "bottomless mimosas", I looked around the restaurant and most of the champagne flutes were empty. The WORST part of my experience was the service. Our server was not attentive at all, our food took a very long time to come; half of our order never arrived and we had to ask for our check 4 times. Disappointing brunch experience."

  • "When we walked in the door, we were pleasantly surprised at the attractiveness of the room. Then we were seated at a table about 2 feet behind the hostess stand and the experience was downhill from there. Every time the front door opened, there was a blast of frigid air. Our server had far too many tables to be able to do his job efficiently. He took our simple drink order of a glass of wine and a martini and we didn't see him again for a good 20 minutes. The martini was ordered "on the rocks with a lemon twist" and arrived on the rocks, but with a slice of lemon and three olives. Odd. Entrees came about 30 minutes later and were just O.K. This restaurant could be really nice, but, as it stands right now, I wouldn't go back."

  • "The ambiance at Creme is pleasant and the food is good. Unfortunately, the restaurant was short-staffed; the one waiter taking care of the seven or so dining parties seemed to be a trainee... it was at least fifteen or twenty minutes before we received menus, and the maitre d' actually swooped in and removed two plates of corn muffins that the waiter had mistakenly placed on our table. The food was great; smoked salmon salad and sauteed mushroom appetizers were a highlight, as were the short ribs; but so much fat was left on the steak that the unfortunate diner spent about five minutes removing it, and a request to replace the "fat fries" with salad was forgotten. Our dinner of nearly 2 1/2 half hours was memorable... for the wrong reasons."

  • "Our waiter reeked of cigarette smoke when he came to our table. Yes, the restaurant had just opened, but he was just too freshly nicotined. The entrees and appetizer were terrific. If there was a wine list, we weren't shown it, and the by the glass choices were mediocre. (We might have gotten a bottle if there was a wine list.) Our dessert arrived still partially frozen. We had theater plans, which we informed the waiter of before we ordered. We had a 5pm reservation and told him we wanted to be at the theater between 6:15 and 6:30 - our bill was brought to us at around 6:10, and was incorrect. By the time he corrected it, it was 6:20, and we suspect it was still not quite right, but we didn't have time to fix it."

  • "We enjoyed brunch here on a Sunday morning. Our waiter, Leo, was fantastic and kept our "bottomless mimosa" glasses full. The brunch fare was flavorful and filling with many southern home-cooking influenced options. The inside of the building is lovely and the crowd was very energetic without being too noisy."

  • "Creme is a good restaurant with A LOT of potential; the only thing lacking was good execution. The decor was unique; & kind of the most appealing part of that restaurant. The only thing is, I wish there a tiny bit more lighting, because it would have been nice to SEE what my delicious food looked like. I have nothing but great things to say about the food and decor, but the service was ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. Our waiter was completely ignoring us and we only got his attention when we flagged him down. We waited about 20 mins to have our main entrees after we finished our appetizer. Then it took ANOTHER 40 mins for him to clean out plates. When asked for another glass of water, our waiter rolled his eyes and made a " ughhhh" sound. He was so rude"

  • "I went here w/my wife last night and I was surprised at how great the food was. I had the lamb and even though it was served well done versus medium, it was amazingly flavorful and tender. My wife had the salmon and the only complaint that she had was the the serving of salmon was SO small... maybe it was b/c it was so delicious that you realize how little food you were actually given. I would recommend at least one visit!!!"
