We had a fantastic experience! We were seated promptly, as soon as we arrived, and within minutes, out waiter was at the table explaining the specials for the day. I ordered a French martini and sent instructions to the bartender how to make it (I'm particular about my French martinis!) She very graciously prepared it to perfection. Within minutes our food arrived. The chicken and waffles were delicious and my husband enjoyed the eggs benedict fajita. We had a group of 4, and ordered the Caesar salad, Shrimp and Grits, Maryland Jumbo Crab Cakes, Bourbon and Teriyaki Glazed Salmon, Strawberry Shortcake, and Not Yo Mamma's Banana pudding. All of the food was outstanding, and we also enjoyed the warm cornbread that was brought to the table. The food was delicious, service excellent, atmosphere pleasant and friendly, and the live piano/bass jazz duo completed this amazing experience. The bottomless Mimosas were especially fun. Chicken and waffles, quiche, shrimp and grits - all excellent. Desserts - banana pudding, coconut cake, chocolate mousse - outstanding! The waiter was very sweet...I think, however, that he should have mentioned that the mimosas were bottomless. At first he asked if we'd like another--we said "no". When a different waiter came along and just filled our glasses, we figured it was because the food was taking forever. None of the wait staff seemed to notice or apologize for the wait--and neither did the manager, to whom we casually mentioned the length of time it took for the food to arrive. She did say they were "busy"--the place was not even half full! (The slow kitchen may explain the reason why they believe half-full is "busy"!!)
