Creme Restaurant and LoungeOne Night in BaltimoreMy wife and I researched the blogs and the reviews concerning restaurants in Baltimore. We finally selected Creme in one of the oldest neighborhoods because it had consistently great reviews for both food and service when compared to other restaurants in the immediate area. The Chef keeps a menu focused on items they can do well. It is laced with local produce and superbly selected wines and yes there is also a vegetarian selection. The presentation and ambiance of the location had much appeal and the price was very reasonable. Creme has early and late dining which is a plus, and is located not far from the museums. Creme caters events throughout the region and its reputation is growing. Don't forget dessert and coffee!6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMStandoutExcellent by all measures. Don't be scared away by the lack of customers. It's a find. Give Creme a try. Menu is limited but the results are outstanding.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGood brunchThe chicken and waffles were good; however, I would recommend a bit less garlic in the chicken batter. The mushroom Benedict was great and the salad that came with it had an excellent dressing. I had the side of grits and fell in love. Can't wait to try their shrimp and grits entree.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMMust go for brunch and getMust go for brunch and get the chicken and waffles! The wait staff is very attentive and friendly, the chef even came out to our table.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat foodThe food and service were great, can't wait to go back!!!!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMScrumptious ExperienceMy husband and I visited Creme for the very first time, on May 5th to celebrate "Cinco de Mayo." We had a fantastic experience! We were seated promptly, as soon as we arrived, and within minutes, out waiter was at the table explaining the specials for the day. I ordered a French martini and sent instructions to the bartender how to make it (I'm particular about my French martinis!) She very graciously prepared it to perfection. Within minutes our food arrived. The chicken and waffles were delicious and my husband enjoyed the eggs benedict fajita. The extra treat was the wonderful live jazz that added to the ambiance and brought everything together "scrumptiously," Will definitely be back, and we're bringing friends and family when we do!!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was very good. CookedThe food was very good. Cooked as ordered. However, the Sauteed spinach was chewy.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat all around. Nice friendlyGreat all around. Nice friendly crowd. I liked the Sunday afternoon thing. not far from the Walters Art Museum. Parking was no problem on the street and right next door as well. Food was unique, exotic, highly seasoned, and tasty.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first time atThis was our first time at Creme, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a group of 4, and ordered the Caesar salad, Shrimp and Grits, Maryland Jumbo Crab Cakes, Bourbon and Teriyaki Glazed Salmon, Strawberry Shortcake, and Not Yo Mamma's Banana pudding. All of the food was outstanding, and we also enjoyed the warm cornbread that was brought to the table. It was a treat to meet the chef after the meal.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went to Creme for the EasterWe went to Creme for the Easter brunch. We were a group of 6 and we had a great time!
The food was delicious, service excellent, atmosphere pleasant and friendly, and the live piano/bass jazz duo completed this amazing experience. We are very pleased and will certainly recommend Creme to everyone we know.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMEaster brunch was delicious! Our first time at this fine restaurant was for Easter brunch, and it was wonderful! The bottomless Mimosas were especially fun. Chicken and waffles, quiche, shrimp and grits - all excellent. Desserts - banana pudding, coconut cake, chocolate mousse - outstanding! Prices are reasonable, live music was great, and so, we will return.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMMagnificent!!!Food was excellent! Service just as good. We arrived an hour early for lunch on a busy Sunday two weeks ago. Without hesitation, the staff seated us. The food came in a timely manner. And the bottomless Mimosas ..... well, the kept coming! Awesome, experience. I will return!!!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMHere, good food does take time! The food was worth the wait--and it was a LONG wait for the food! The waiter was very sweet...I think, however, that he should have mentioned that the mimosas were bottomless. At first he asked if we'd like another--we said "no". When a different waiter came along and just filled our glasses, we figured it was because the food was taking forever. None of the wait staff seemed to notice or apologize for the wait--and neither did the manager, to whom we casually mentioned the length of time it took for the food to arrive. She did say they were "busy"--the place was not even half full! (The slow kitchen may explain the reason why they believe half-full is "busy"!!) I know: good food takes time, but a 45+ minute wait can't be good for business3/10/2013 12:00:00 AM
