Diner Reviews
  • "I do like making reservations on line. Food is always good but now with the new owners it is even better. The specials are what we usually get, never disappointing."

  • "Our dinner most recently was great. Service was prompt and courteous, table was ready when reservations were scheduled for and food was delicious. I choose the scallop and gnocchi small plate and wished it was a large plate or at least a few more of the gnocchi. A little stingy on the portion even though it was a small plate ($14.99) and the scallops were overcooked but the dish on the whole was delicious. I would order it again but perhaps request a side dish of additional gnocchi, they teased me with 4 . It was a sunny Saturday evening and the view was spectacular as always. I wish consideration would be given to the interior decor. It is long, long overdue for a facelift."

  • "Food was very good. Served by friendly and efficient staff. Restaurant was quite busy for a Wednesday night but service was still very good. Very good choice for a visit to Buffalo. No question I would go again!"

  • "Having been at the Creekview many times, we really wanted to go after seeing their restaurant week menu. There were 4 of us, and we each had a different appitizer. The main entrees were wonderful! A great night out."

  • "I recently had dinner at the creekview restaurant in Williamsville with a group of 6 friends. 2 of the people in our party showed up late and unannounced. We asked for a larger table and were accommodated immediately even though the restaurant was busy. The food was very good and the service was even better. Great experience"

  • "Wow, this was NOT the same place I remember having a good meal at a couple years ago. I'm sorry we chose Creekview for our birthday dinner celebrations: food lousy, service substandard. Our Caesar salads were smothered with a topping that appeared to be bread crumbs? My bolognese sauce was very unappealing in every way imaginable and the chicken parm was smothered with sauce (usually a sign of trying to make up for poor quality meat). Of our 5 meals, only the beef on weck was edible. We won't be back!"

  • "Everything was very good, except the parking! Impossible to find a spot."

  • "The food was great, the whole family enjoyed our meals and atmosphere. It was difficult to get around with a scooter (since I had a broken leg) and use the mens room. The entrance ramp is very steep for a wheelchair."

  • "Good food and good service and of course a great view. We were served in a timely manner as well."

  • "Party of four, make a reservation, ask for a table in the lower part of the restaurant so that you can have a view of the creek, highly recommend the small plates."

  • "I've been to Creekview many times and have never been disappointed. Pro-tip: It is especially great during restaurant week! They also serve the most delicious "tapas platter" I've ever tasted. Consists of hummus (da bomb), goat cheese spread, tzatziki, olive, pita, roasted red peppers, etc. Definitely worth a try, if you're into that type of Mediterranean thang."

  • "My wife and I had a great experience on a Saturday night. We were seated right away at a table looking over the creek which had a beautiful view. The wait staff was very friendly and our food was fantastic. I enjoyed the gnocchi while my wife had a generous cob salad. We both split the Brie and artichoke dip as an appetizer which was delicious. Would recommend to anyone looking for a unique atmosphere. Everything was reasonably priced too."

  • "The Creekview gets its name from Ellicott Creek which runs right beside the building. The "patio" is the enclosed lower level that can be used year-round. The menu has classics as well as more adventurous items such as duck breast and pork cheeks. Food is well-prepared and creative. It's our favorite restaurant in the Williamsville, NY area."

  • "The Valentine's Day menu had great variety. Even though I was there with a business colleague, it was an enjoyable meal. We enjoyed the "little plates" option that allows diners to try more options, especially when everything looks yummy. Reasonably priced for the value offered. Our server was great and paced the plates well."

  • "Very nice place, food was good and good price too. It was valentines day so it was a little crowded but will definitely be going back again."

  • "reliable, homey place with a solid beef on weck and a great fish fry on Fridays. Best homemade pies ever! Try the key lime and the caramel apple. Been coming here for years. Never come to Buffalo without eating here at least once."

  • "My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. I had the very best chicken parm I've ever had. It was juicy, delicious and the marinara sauce was just right. The wine was delicious. The service was great. We loved our waitress. She was very friendly and a natural at helping us feel at home. It was a bit chilly close to the window, but they did warn us about that. It was worth it to be close to the river. The seats facing the river weren't as chilly as right up next to the glass. Highly recommend this restaurant!"

  • "the food was served cold-the waitress was nowhere to be found."

  • "Excellent service, love the ambience of this creekside restaurant. Food was good, not great. Good place for business lunch. Will come back"

  • "Good food, pork chop special was delicious. Time for the owners to update the interior, definetly not the place to go for a quite drink. The bar is extremely noisy and small and to top it off they squeeze in a band and a reserved table for 8 . Not good planning, glad I left before the band started."

  • "If you go on your lunch hour, be prepared to take a long one! A waitress did not acknowledge our table for 20 minutes and we did not get our food until 50 minutes had passed since being seated. The food was very good, but had I remembered the long wait we had at this restaurant a few years ago, I would have chosen another location for this lunch date."

  • "Everything was great at the Creekview. 8 of us came in for a late lunch and really did not know what to expect. The food was excellent from the chicken milanese to the gluten free pasta and crab cakes. The only thing that was lacking was a more extensive wine list. Some of the diners requested white zinfadel and there was none available."

  • "Our evening at Creekside was a success! We had view of the creek and waterfall and could hear each other talk. The variety of menu items let us choose what we wanted. Prices were reasonable. Service was very good."

  • "reasonably priced for such large portions. cramped seating adds to the ambiance but can be bothersome with all the dining room traffic."

  • "We had a Department lunch and the service and food were very good. They accomodated 11 guests in a side room that we had mostly to ourselves. We all enjoyed the lunch!"

  • "Had not been to the creek view in many years and has not changed a bit. The wait staff was very good and attentive. The food was just average. I had the a creamy chicken Dijon soup which had very little chicken as well as the chicken pot pie...mostly pie with very little chicken . Others in the party had the basic Salmon, filet and steak entrees which were ok but nothing spectacular. The bananna cream pie was not a show stopper and tasted like it was made with instant pudding. The key lime pie however, was much better. Great fun because of good friends and a great atmosphere."

  • "waited 30 minutes past our reservation time. Last time almost an hour Waiter had a big party ahead of us, so we didn't get much service."

  • "I have always enjoyed the village charm of the creekview, you are bound to know someone at the bar and they make great drinks with top shelf liquor. This last time we went for dinner however we noticed that the price had gone up on most items. The small plates on the specials menu were way too small for the price. The onion soup is great and the fish fry is the best you will find anywhere."

  • "Our reservation allowed us to have an excellent table with a great view. Although the restaurant is a little cramped and noisy, our lunch was excellent. The food was very tasty and presented well. The service was very good and we were treated extremely well. We would certainly consider ding there again."

  • "We were visiting in Buffalo and my wife saw this on the resturant guide near our hotel and so we thougth, why not.......very pleasant, great staff, good food, priced is right. We would go back. Although kid friendly, I think it should be a place for just adults unless celebrating a grandparents birthday or something."

  • "Had a great table we reserved by the window/water. Great food and good service except for the wait. Although we had a reservation and we were on time, we had a little over a half hour wait for our table. However, we will definitely be back the next time we are in the States."

  • "Such a large and varied menu and everything is well prepared. Have enjoyed everything I've tried and have been here at least six times in the past year. Staff dies not rush you to finish and leave."

  • "Food was fair, slightly overpriced. Stuffed peppers were oily and boring. Waitress was not pleasent. Also screwed up our check, came back and was nasty about it. I absolutely did not appreciate her behavior. We tipped her between 15-20 percent, would have been 20 or more if her she was more customer friendly. Would not go back, too many otther great restaurants in this area to go to."

  • "Creekview is our family go to place. Food is great, servers are friendly & if sitting out on the patio, always a pleasure. Although the bar area is small, it is always a great meeting place."

  • "It was very close between tables. Unable to enjoy meal because you were constantly having to move in for either a server or another patron trying to maneuver between the tables."

  • "Thanks for making our mini high school reunion so memorable. You found us a nice quiet out of the way room to chat and eat in. Although we were looking forward to the view we are happy we were not in the room overlooking the creek because we wouldn't have been able to hear each other because of the noise level. The service and the food were excellent. I had one of the lunch specials, the large turkey wrap with cranberries, sliced apples and spinach. It should be on the daily menu it was so good. The other people in our group had equally delicious food: roast beef on weck, tuna salad plate with generous portions of fresh fruit, potato pancakes and the sweet potato fries were done perfectly. We will recommend this to our friends."
