I've been here several times and have always enjoyed it. Today I had relatives in town and brought them here. We were seated immediately but left after 20 minutes after nobody had said anything to us! I even asked the bus boy to send the waiter over - nothing. Really hoping they were just having a staffing problem

Got there at 5 for dinner, so service was fast. Portions very generous, and good value. I had the 4 cheese pizza -- crust was nice and thin and very crisp - perfect! The side order of spinach was fab and only $4; perfectly seasoned and not greasy. Hubby had a pasta dish with sage meatballs, which was yummy and meatballs were very delicate in flavor. Tasted the roasted squid appetizer, and it was unusual but super tasty -- such a large portion that it would be best shared by four. Everyone loved their Graffeo coffees and espressos, and our friend's loved the gelato. Especially that they could get a small scoop instead of a huge dish. By 6 PM the bar had filled up with after work crowd and it was super noisy. But would definitely return.

Pizza was great!! The best part of lunch. We also got a salmon entree which was really bad the fish and veggies were soaked in way too much olive oil. I couldn't even finish it. My coworker got the chicken ceaser and it look horrible. Like it was pre-packed... Something you'd expect if you order a salad at a ballpark. Blah. Out service was super slow, nice but he moved like a snail... We sat downstairs which was super akward... If the food was good id probably not care. But with good so-so and sitting in a basement. It's just bad altogether. I guess overall in pretty disappointed. I'm sure the owner didn't plan it this way. Someone is slacking and it shows. Sorry...

What a pleasant surprise. Our monthly theater group chose this restaurant as it was close to Bart and close to the theater on Jackson street. We all tried different dishes and agreed with other people's comments about the fried octopus and brussel sprouts dish. Fantastic. The winning choice for main entree was the scallops. Since fava beans are in season another choice was the whole wheat pasta with fava beans. Very tasty. The service was impeccable. We did not have to ask for anything. Our choice of the Pinot Noir wine was perfect for all of our food choices. We will be returning to this restaurant. It was the highlight of the evening since the play we saw was a major bust!!!!

I took clients on a business lunch. The restaurant was very accommodating, and seated us downstairs where it wasn't quite as noisy without us even having to ask. The only thing that could have been improved upon was the size of the portions. I actually prefer smaller, more European portion sizes, but the amount of food in the gnocchi dish was a little lacking. Otherwise, I would recommend the restaurant.

The staff made us feel welcome for our early dinner. There was an interesting drink menu. Three of us had pasta, the gnocchi was the best. Pillow soft pasta and a wonderful fresh tomato sauce. I had the salted Carmel pot de creme. The roasted, Spanish peanuts were a nice touch. I will return for sure.

This was the second time to Credo. The food was great both times. However, the service this round was horrible. Our server kept disappearing or was too busy chatting with coworkers. We had to ask manager for more wine after we were almost through our meals. We were so over it by that time that we skipped dessert. Wish I remembered his name to make sure others could avoid same situation as food is really good.

Credo is a very good restaurant with a good balance of Italian food with a California balance. We were lucky to attend on night when it was not manically busy. The restaurant is not large and while pretty busy the service was attentive and appropriate. The menu is sensible with not too many options. We all ordered a different dish and all were pleased with the quality of the food. A good blend and balance of flavours was common to each. I found the wine list interesting and reasonably comprehensive with a reasonable balance of CA and Italian wines. A return visit is definitely on the cards.

This is one of those places that has wonderful food, friendly staff, and tables so close to each other you can use your neighbor's salt shaker. As a result it is hard to carry out a conversation. However, the place empties out after 8:30 or 9 and is delightful at that point.

Dined here on a Saturday evening for my birthday and a girl's nite out. Pretty quiet when we got there at 6:30 for drinks but livened up by 7:30 when we sat down to order dinner. Server added a candle to my dessert. My friend brought a soecial bottle of wine to celebrate and they were very nice about it. Corkage fee was $20, about what we expected. Food was nice, moderate portions, and reasonably priced. Loved the fried asparagus app. Good ambience, not too loud, so we could have nice conversation. Would go there again!

I looked around open table to find a place to eat and celebrate the very important 19th birthday of my guest. "Credo" meaning " I believe" seemed to be a good fit. This is not a place for romance! This is not a place for intimacy, this is a place to drink and eat. Shortly after seating we were greeted by our server who asked if we would like a drink, I do not drink and my guest is still 19, we said no, Well we might as well have left because is could literally see the disappointment in his face. The food was good I had the pork shoulder which was good, salty and overpriced. My guest had the salmon, he enjoyed it. I did tell them we were there to celebrate a birthday, they responded with a candle in some gelato. Sigh....

Love the atmosphere, cuisine & service! But the NOISE level makes any conversation at table of 5 or more extremely difficult if not in the lower level room. Book few lunches of 5 or more due to this factor and would recommend more Round tables so larger parties can actually have reasonable conversation.

Went to Credo for the first time last Friday after reading some great reviews and had a wonderful dinner. Lots of attention to detail was evident on my plates, and the service was friendly and very efficient. Really good food and service aren't found everything, but Credo was spot. My only complaint was that there weren't just a couple more main dishes to choose from. But filet just melted in my mouth. I'll definitely go back.
