The mozzerella/heirloom app and beet salad was great. The entrees ran either way TOO salty, (the prochetta) or butternut ravioli, very blah and bland and was way under seasoned, but in blah butter and NO don't add salt to improve it. Try spices, maybe a little agave to sweeten it or something else. I really wanted this meal to be great all the way through, but it wasn't.

I have been here numerous times and I have always been very pleased with what I ordered...from Petrale Sole, Salmon, Steak, Pizza, Pasta...all delicious. I like their cocktails as well. Fun bar to hang out at right after work. Gets busy around 6 so if you want a seat, get there by 5:30.

We had 12 people for a 10-person reservation, and they were able to set us up in a few minutes. The service was good, but not quick. Food was delicious. Portions are small. The neighborhood is dead on the weekends, but this place was pretty full and noisy.

centrally located in the Financial District, this likeable eatery caters to the downtown business crowd and occasional tourist. the bar is small but open and well located beyond the entry. downstairs there is a maze of private dining rooms on your way to the washrooms suggesting interesting possibilities for small groups. one of my favorite starters is fried calamari, and it's quite good here.

I've dined here for lunch, but had never been for dinner until now. Great food! We had a 6:15 reservation on a Friday night and were seated in a nearly empty house. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, the food was timed well and served piping hot. The staff knew the dishes and provided recommendations and even shared their favorites. It did seem as if they had a much later dining crowd. As we were leaving the place was near full and more people were coming in. We chose 6:15 as it was right after work - and my office is right down the street. It seems as if we missed the crowd - which was great for us... We will definitely be back again - and we're looking forward to it!

I really enjoyed the food choices when I was here on 10/9/14. I choice the pork shoulder which came with roasted potatoes as well as roasted peaches! THAT was an unexpected treat. I will definately be back as they had several great items to choose from - it was hard to decide, but what a great problem to have.

Food was decent, but service needs improvement. We requested to split the salad, but it arrived non-split. When we sent it back to the kitchen, the waiter claimed the chef couldn't do it...really. We have not been any restaurant that could not split a salad, let alone when you asked for it the second time.

We found Credo due to reviews on Open Table and were not disappointed. Our server, Jake, was wonderful - knowledgeable and helpful. Although he was doing double duty as bartender, our service didn't suffer. It would seem that everyone working in the restaurant worked together to clear plates and serve food. The chef shops the local Farmers' Market so the dishes are seasonal and extremely fresh. The food was beautifully prepared and presented. Everything was delicious. Our one comment would be that the entrees were a little heavily salted, so on future visits we would ask for a lighter hand with the salt. This is a small venue; reservations are recommended as it was busy. The noise level was quite high. We will certainly return!

The staff were amazingly attentive and friendly, giving my husband due deference for his birthday. And the food! The chefs are geniuses. We shared the pork and ricotta meatballs appetizer, which was just enough of an amuse bouch between the two of us. I had the roasted beet soup, which really did not taste like beets. That could be a good thing or a bad thing, I suppose. Still, it was delicious. They do wonderful things with stone fruit here. My husband had some on his salad and I had it as a side dish on my porchetta, every bite of which was amazing. One thing that will probably never change: Don't expect a quiet romantic evening. The atmosphere is more along the lines of a bistro or pub, fun!

Credo is a decent place for a business dinner downtown. The food will satisfy the foodies in the crowd and the drink menu is sufficient. I love the quotes on the walls and the audio track in the bathroom. Nice character. Our recent business experience was dampened by having the first two bottles of wine we ordered turn up "unavailable" 5 minutes later, including a Rombauer that we were told we had ordered "the last bottle". What a tease! The gap between apps and dinner was also 10 minutes too long. Fortunately everyone enjoyed the food when it arrived. My out of town guests were satisfied, but as a local I was a bit disappointed by the service.

Nice decor but the table arrangements near the door was a bit awkward. The hostess station placement seemed contrived (an afterthought maybe). To be fair we were asked if we would like to move to another table when we first sat down. (They know their seating is a problem?) The food was very good but a bit on the high side price-wise compared to others at this same Chef-level. Our salad appetizer was beautifully plated as was my meal. My guest's plate however lacked in this area...it was just sort of sloppy. The taste was very-good all around. Great selections of wine. It will be awhile before we get back to this place (not a knock really, there are just so many other places to visit before revisiting here).

My work colleagues and I had dinner at Credo. The noise level was rather exuberant, which made talking amongst ourselves a little challenging. The noise level did quiet down after a large nearby party left. The space is very open which lends itself to be a little on the louder side. The food was amazing! We started off with duroc pork & ricotta meatballs served on polenta with romano cheese. We also shared burata cheese with honey and sea salt served with crostini. The server recognize we had more people than crostini and without asking, gave us more. Every dish that was ordered was tasteful and fully consumed! The beer, wine and port selections were varied enough to accommodate our party of 7. Great place to go and enjoy.

The place was noisy but the service was fairly good and they must be saving a ton of money on their fresh produce bill. The heirloom tomato and mozzarella plate consisted of one small tomato cut into five or six pieces. It's tomato season for heavens sake! My fig pizza special of the day was mostly just dry crust. Our table of four received five crostini with the honeyed cheese appetizer and were unable to get any more and ended up eating forkfuls of the cheese alone. They skimped in all the wrong places. Pasta was fine so maybe I just shouldn't have ordered the pizza.

Credo is a well positioned restaurant in heart of Financial District -close to Bart, Ferry, buses - a lot going for it - decent food but servers who could use some additional training & "customer service" pills. We had a gluten free diner (my boss - as in the guy who's picking up the check for our table of 10) & I tried my best to work w/our server to identify gluten free menu items (he was more interested in getting us to order drinks, appys early than "listening" to our needs). There were 2 people at our table who requested "room temperature" water (I was one of them) we did receive our water, however, we did not receive refills from our server NOR a table floater bus boy type individuals UNTIL we called them over.
