Our menu is tailored to encompass only the most fresh and regional ingredients from throughout Canada and around the world. The lounge offers original drink creations unique to Edmonton, using rare and hard to find vodkas. Our Creations team has developed a wine list that melds a wonderful blend of old world and new world vintages from the four corners of the globe.

  • "Place looked amazing, that quickly vanished with the poor wait staff (not rude just bad). Took over an hour to get our food, lobster risotto should be called cheesy rice with grass on top. Roasted Hun, how you burn something to a crisp and it still be soggy is impressive. After desert I asked for the bill waiting 20 mins asked again before I finally recieved it. For the same price go to the keg or any other fine eating establishments."

  • "I really liked the ambience and layout of the restaurant, it was nice and quiet, almost private. Food quality and setting was high. However I specifically came for the seafood, which to some degree was lacking. The price point for king crab was right on the crab tasted slightly freezer burned. I understand at the price it has to be previously frozen, my thoughts are it should be in a steam table,warmed to avoid this, garlic butter should be on hand and not a request item. Mussels were very flavourful.. but again cold. Scallops were not present but advertised. I would return if changes were made but otherwise I wouldn't go out of my way."

  • "My husband and I dined at this restuarant on a quiet Saturday night. We waited ONE HOUR before my salad came out, and then another 10 minutes before my husbands soup came. The waiter only came to our table to say 'sorry for the wait' and was not friendly at all. We talked with the manager and he was to afraid to come back to our table to make anything right. Other customers waited up to ten minutes for a hostess to seat them (the restaurant was maybe 25% full). I had butter chicken and my husband had cornish hen. Both meals were OK. The food does not make up for the terrible service. Although the menu does look great and has a variety of options, I would not dine at Creations again. I would not recommend this restaurant to a friend."

  • "Wife and I went on Valentines day 2014. Wait staff was very good, great level of wait service even though it was very busy. Even though this restaurant is in a hotel, the atmosphere was nice, especially the glass fireplace. The food was somewhat disappointing, especially with the price (65). I had the seafood, my wife had the red meat dishes. Halibut was overcooked and dry, meat dish was overdone as well; but it tasted ok. A lot of restaurants tend to bite off more complexity than they can chew on such a busy night and it always comes off poorly. I'm willing to give them a second chance on a night that they're not so busy, but I probably will not go back for Valentines Day."

  • "My hubby and I went to Creations for our Valentine's Day dinner. Their package was very well priced, only $59.98 for 5 courses. The food was well prepared, but some of it tasted like it had been sitting on the counter a while; it was not fresh. The drink menu was good, and their signature cocktails were tasty. Well worth the money. The service was definitely lacking, though. Three times we had to inquire as to the status of our entrees, and we saw our waiter a total of 4 time, every time his interaction with us being complaints about how "tonight is so stressful". Overall, it was a fine dinner, but nothing special, and I won't be back."

  • "It all started out quite lovely on Valentines day. Hostess was great, greeter equally fabulous. Waitress hit it off with a bang...then it died. After our appetizers there was no one to be found. No one came and checked on us, no refill to our drinks, when we did manage to waive someone down and get our main course, we were apologized to but the bill was not discounted for our 90 minute wait. Poor server? Poor manager? Would give them a second chance, but never a third. So lets see how round two goes!"

  • "Went for the 5-course Valentine's Day dinner. The venison was great, and the lamb was a bit overdone but still good. I wasn't too keen on the way the mashed potatoes were seasoned, but they were okay. The tenderloin was a big disappointment. Server didn't ask how I wanted it cooked and then it was brought out cooked beyond well-done."

  • "Clam chowder is too watery. Tomatoe and cheese salad portion is way too big and it is not refine. The main course steak is covered with mushroom sauce that is masked by soy sauce taste. And the dessert ingredients have no cohesion at all. So, I guess this fork festival is good learning experience for the chef, but not for the guests."

  • "We went for New Year's Eve because the Keg was a 3 hour wait. The ambiance was nice and the food we had was excellent in taste presentation, quantity and temperature. On the down side they had a set menu for the evening which we did not know when we made reservations, while we all found something it was disappointing and we saw another group eating something that was not on the set menu. Finally our server wasn't the best, she didn't know what was in the dishes even on a menu that only had three mains and two appetizers, also she took away cutlery that was needed and gave us some that wasn't."

  • "We were a group of 5 dining on Christmas Day. The menu was a limited-choice, fixed-price, 3 course meal. Among the 5 of us, we covered all of the food choices and we were all pleased with the food quality and preparation. Portions were not large, but were adequate, and the price was reasonable. Staff seemed inexperienced. White wine was served with no ice bucket to keep it cold until half way through our meal. Two Manhattans ordered "straight up" arrived in low-ball glasses rather than martini glasses and were filled with ice. We returned them and the ice was removed but the glasses weren't changed. Neither of the drink-related "glitches" significantly affected our enjoyment of our meals and the evening. We will return in future."

  • "This restaurant in the Sawridge Hotel is worth a visit! Five of us all enjoyed our dinners on Friday Dec 20. The menu provides variety and dessert is a must. We all ordered diffent entrees which were well presented and tasty. The servers were very pleasant and professional. In my opinion it rates right up there with the top restaurants in Open Table."

  • "Went here for a birthday dinner in a small group. The atmosphere was very cozy and warm. The Food was amazing. Everyone one loved what they ordered: Atlantic Salmon, Bison Meatloaf, Butter Chicken, Ribs, Fettuccine Lamb Ragout, Beef Dip. And then there was Dessert: Warm Sticky Toffee Pudding, Mayan Chocolate Crunch Pyramid, Jack Daniels Apple and Cranberry Crumble, and my friend said that the Creations Brulée was the best she had ever had and she orders this dessert everywhere she goes. We all will definitely be back to this restaurant."

  • "We had a great dining experience for lunch with colleagues. The ambience was cozy and warm and we had the buffet which served a turkey dinner and also ordered a couple of dishes from the menu. The service was slow to seat but once we sat down the servers were quick and friendly. The decor is beautiful in the foyer, lounge and dining room as well as artwork to showcase local artists. The food was delicious with all the trimmings."

  • "Will never ever return to this restaurant. There were only 5 options for bottles of wine on the menu. And 4 of the 5 were not available. For a restaurant of this caliber that is simply unacceptable. The wine was not poured for tasting, the waitress just unscrewed the cap and poured into glasses. Service was terrible, it took forever, and the restaurant was empty."

  • "We have been to this restaurant a number of times and it never disappoints. The brunch has a good variety of foods and I suspect that no one leaves feeling hungry. The prime rib was excellent as was the cook to order omelette and everthing else in between. The service was great and we never had an empty coffee cup. We love the ambiance, especially if you get to sit by the fireplace. I would recommend this place to others."

  • "For my 40th Birthday we decided to book the private dining room at Creations which seats 12. The ambience was pleasing and the room was private for our party. Our guests enjoyed the variety of the menu and the food was nothing short of excellent! We expected much better service given we prebooked a party of 12. When the food arrived, three of my guests had to wait an additional 15 minutes as their orders were not recorded. The drink orders were slow in coming if at all. Embarrassing for my husband and I as we were depending on good quality service. To sum up, the food was great however, the service was extremely disappointing. I am not certain I would book Creations for another event given the lack of service. - unacceptable!"

  • "We had a wonderful evening with my family along with my Mom and one of my sisters...nice to have a wonderfully cooked thanksgiving supper...turkey was very moist - if there was a complaint it was that there was too much turkey! My Mom was disappointed she could not bring the leftovers home, but that was truly ok... Nice touch for the Chef to come ask how the meal was & our server was excellent! She was very attentive when needed and yet also respectful of giving us our space & not hovering...would recommend Creations to others for certain!"

  • "I would describe our Creations experience as "okay". Looking for a quiet location to celebrate our anniversary, a red flag went up when we arrived and the restaurant was virtually empty. Creations is located adjacent the hotels lounge. The volume of the lounge's television's sound system could be heard clearly at our tucked away table, somewhat annoying as time went on. Service was prompt & attentive. Food was fair value but nothing I would return to Creations to experience again. The Cranberry Apple crumble was disappointing, seemed to have excessive liquid and little "crumble". Highlight was the 5 different vegetables accompanying my Goat cheese stuffed chicken, the whipped potatoes served with the dish were bordering on cold."

  • "Creations has never let us down. We have enjoyed Sunday brunches, private dining for special occasions more than once, a birthday dinner, Father's Day and have had a lovely experience each time. Maybe due to the location, inside the Sawridge Hotel, it is not directly on people's radar. Don't think 'hotel' It is more traditional, yes- and not trendy at all- but the room is classy and nicely laid out. The lounge has big screen TV's but you don't feel like you are in a Sports Bar at all. Consider trying it out. The service is earnest, warm and efficient and the food is creative, tasty and well displayed."

  • "Had Father's day brunch buffet. The food was excellent as always, and the service even better than before. They have expanded the buffet selections and had some exotic choices like kangaroo. All of the food was good to excellent (especially the prime rib). Dessert selection was great and there was lots for the kids to eat. The price has gone up $35/pp, kids 6 & under free, but is still great. I highly recommend."

  • "Overall experience was fine. We had to seat ourselves, so we did and wondered if anyone knew we were there. Service staff was friendly but more of a "diner down the road" type of friendly, we were expecting a little more of a "fine dining" experience. Food was good,potions were a nice size, my steak was a little on the tough side and overdone but it wasn't the end of the world. My husbands salmon was perfect, salad was excellent, creme brulee was fantastic. My recommendation would be to add a gluten free menu that is interesting, flavorful, with several selections to choose from. Regards, Norm and Tammy Ball"
