Unfortunately, the only thing offered that day was the buffet, so we didn't get to try some menu items we were hoping to check out, but the buffet was good and our server was great. Our server Brice was so attentive and interacted with my boys and when one ran off, another waiter escorted him back to our table. Wonderful food and service. Will Be coming back for sure!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat, except for one thing...We went to CRAVE for brunch on Mother's Day. The food was delicious and our server was friendly and attentive. However, one thing really took away from our overall experience - the hostess dressed in the skin-tight, lace-back, hot pink dress, which looked like lingerie. My little 5 year old daughter said "Mommy, how come you can see that lady's back?" Not exactly the conversation you want to have with an impressionable little girl during Mother's Day brunch. It was totally inappropriate and unprofessional attire. Our server was fantastic and on discovering the reason for our celebration, did everything to make our guests feel welcomed. The food was outstanding (walleye, cajun shrimp pasta, brick baked chicken, and sushi) and our friends could not stop commenting on what an enjoyable experience they had. Meal was good. Caesar salad was good but would have preferred the lettuce cut up. Chicken, apple and Brie sandwich was also delicious. With some insistence, our server had the manager come to our table to speak to us about this very recent change. The manager agreed to discount three rolls for the two of us. We were happy that they chose to honor Crave's ongoing promotion. Service was great, we were treated very well. But I know in the future when I want to do half price sushi Sundays I'll need to go to a different Crave.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThe chicken oscar at CRAVEThe chicken oscar at CRAVE is excellent, but I decided to go a different course on my second visit and try the baked mac and cheese with chicken. The baked mac and cheese was good, but it is hard for me to compare it to the chicken oscar I enjoyed so much during my first visit. The service was great again and the drinks were excellent. I enjoy the ambiance in CRAVE very much and I do recommend this place if you are near the Mall of America. They did run out of a standard wine label but we were happy with options given. My wife asked the server about one of the cold sake by-the-glass options and our server was vague and commented on the "anise", but my wife liked it so much she had two glasses. Our futo maki and vegetarian rolls were outstanding. It took a little while for the main course to come out, and because our seating area had just cleared out quite a bit, I was wondering why it was taking so long, but it was worth the wait. I also ordered a cup of the vegetarian curry soup which was great - not too heavy, and nicely balanced. The frequent diner club is free to sign up so we did! A table was available as soon as we reached the restaurant. The Open Table App even told us which part of Mall of America to park in. Appetizers and drinks were wonderful. I and my husband ordered pasta dishes which were wonderful. Son and wife had sushi. They thought their food was great also. The mini desserts are a great idea when you just want a little sweet taste.
