We were disappointed that our on-line reservation indicating that this visit was special to us and that we would like to sit at a preselected spot in the restaurant was ignored. When we brought this up with the young lady who welcomed us we were told that the restaurant was very busy. We were seated in the corner near rest rooms. I took a stroll over to the table we had requested and it was indeed available and we requested to be reseated which was done.
Our server, Denise, was wonderful once again, we have celebrated at Crave for three years and Denise has been our server in 2012 and 2013. She should receive some recognition for her work! Food...no question...tremendous!!

The presentation is always excellent and adds to the fun dinning experience. The meal is pricey but not overpriced! With one exception...the stingy pours of wine....and that has been consistent on each visit. Regardless, the dining experience is exceptional. This also applies to the outdoor seating area. Indoors they have added a wider, longer horseshoe for the bar so there are a generous number of seats in reach of the bar staff. There are also some lighting updates to the bar area that help create an atmosphere that is more separate from the restaurant. Two or three high-top tables remain but the big enhancement is in actual bar stools.
This upgrade makes Big Bowl a choice for Happy Hour that may be less congested than other area restaurants.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMMothers Day BrunchRequested booth for 5 was available on time and in a perfect location for our party! Food choices were heavy on the breakfast selections, would like to have more lunch oriented items. Beef was a little too rare for my taste but turkey was fine. Outstanding pastry selections and cold appetizers and fruit selections were good as well. Our waiter was excellent without being overbearing, given the crowd he was outstanding. A particular surprise that was AMAZE was that in addition to the awesome sushi chef's, they must have brought in an incredible pastry chef because everything was different..yet the croissants were warm, flaky, buttery.. and reminded me immediately of mornings in Italy.
We were caught in the construction traffic, stuck for an hour, the hostesses were great each time we called with our ETA. There was no way we were turning around. :) My Constant CRAVE-ing is the Kogi beef tacos- Just curious- how many people ate out for Mother's day? How many of them received a tweet to see how the experience was?5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMVery Good brunchWe thought the Mother's Day brunch was "very good," not great. It had some of the usual brunch items. But, there were several things we could not eat. For example, they had some tempting-looking enchiladas, but they were all chicken. How hard would it be to make half of them just cheese? My other complaint is they had no omelets. What, no omelets at a brunch? They had some scrambled egg types of things but I expected a small omelet station for the price they were charging.
The dishes they had were all nicely made. The salads were tasty but only a few of them. The deserts were heavenly and small bites. By the end of the meal my wife and I were stuffed so small ones were perfect. We'd consider going back.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMI crave CraveI have been to Crave a half dozen times and have an excellent meal everytime. This past visit I brought my team from work of 12 employees so we were able to taste a large cross section of appetisers and entries. Everyone in my group was delighted with their meal. For a semi fancy restraurant, the entries portion where fairly large. The sushi was excellent and plentiful. My favorite appetizer was the lemon glazed chicken wings. The prices were in line with similar type restraurants. I did not see the drink prices so I am not sure how they compare with other places. It was crowded but service was attentive. Food was delicious but I wish there were more vegetarian options as half of our group doesn't eat meat. Everybody was very happy with their food though. The occasion was my daughter's 14th birthday. She's a bit shy so I was worried about some obnoxious scene at the table with clapping servers. Instead, one of the staff came over when she got her piece of cake and sang an absolutely beautiful rendition of "Happy Birthday". It was a priceless picture of her in front of the cake with the candle burning transfixed by a happy birthday serenade.
