Unless you know what you're getting into, I would avoid the west coast oysters. Even with <24 hrs travel time to get to the restaurant, they were mealy with little flavor and questionable texture. Stick to the east coasties, much fresher and excellent. If you like sushi/raw fish at all, the fluke appetizer is a must try. The menu is varied and you have to have some background in food to decipher the very limited menu descriptions - if you're not sure about something, just ask your server. The food and the wine is wonderful and original. There are often healthy choices but the emphasis is on wonderful seafood well conceived and perfectly executed. The Wines are worth exploring and the interiors are upscale in a totally welcoming way. Staff is helpful and pleasant. The flavor combinations are so interesting. The burrata was probably my favorite dish, but not too far behind were the scallops on sweet potato. And it never hurts to end a meal with a warm chocolate chip cookie and ice cream. the drinks are just as great. And the staff is very friendly and helpful. He has the wild salmon, hake and dory entrees, and they were all delicious and nicely presented. The fish was properly prepared and came with various vegetables and sauces that were perfect. My girlfriend had the John Dory whilst I played safe with the Scottish Salmon and it was all unbelievably delicious. The beluga lentils and black garlic puree complemented the Salmon perfectly! Needless to say our plates didn't need much cleaning after we were through. The lemon tart was the perfect end to a sumptuous seafood dining experience.
