CRAVE - CincinnatiFood was great, except forFood was great, except for the lack of bread or rolls. Parking was near impossible, because restaurant does not have parking and there was a game. A little too noisy for us. The price was quite reasonable for such elegant and tasty food. Compliment to the Chef.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome menu!Such variety and everything tastes great! Excellent choice for brunch! Favorite restaurant in Cincy!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding Service! We had a wonderful Mother's Day Brunch at Crave. The crowd was large, but we were seated soon after our reservation time. The servers were plentiful and the buffet was out of this world. I will definitely make this a consistent weekend lunch spot.
Loved the little families everywhere on a Sunday afternoon - so refreshing!
Thank You5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMVery long waitThe two of us thought we would try Crave for the first time on Mother's Day for brunch. We had a 11:45 reservation and were told that there would be a slight wait. At 12:20 we still weren't seated and were concerned we might miss the start of the Reds game. I finally asked the manager why it was taking so long to be seated and he had no real answer. We ended up having brunch in the bar area. On the bright side the food on the buffet was delicious. So good in fact that we are going back to have dinner in the coming weeks.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day BrunchWe had reservations for brunch on Mother's Day, but had to wait 25 minutes for a table. I was disappointed that we had to wait that long when we had a reservation.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe decided to go before aWe decided to go before a Cyclones game. We waited a very long time for a waitress to approach us, but the hostess noticed and called a manager and everything was great from that point on. A little pricey, but very enjoyable from the drinks to the dessert. We will be returning when we have money to burn.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing Service & FoodThis is a great spot for dinner and or group meal. There menu is the perfect amount of "normal" with an upscale twist. We were dining with a few family members that are not as adventurous when it comes to food - there were a lot of comments of what is this? I've never even heard of this? Our waitress was great and answered all the questions about the menu. Needless to say everyone left the table with a smile! We loved the food and i would highly recommend CRAVE to anyone visiting the city.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMStellarWe went to CRAVE for our 5th anniversary dinner. We made reservations via OpenTable and were able to be promptly seated on our arrival. The table we were seated at was wobbly so we informed the hostess. She quickly found us a more suitable table and said that she would inform the manager about the wobbly table.
We were greeted by our waitress for the evening who pointed out the dinner and beverage specialties and gave us helpful recommendations on appetizers and entrees.
We were surprised to see that our food arrived within seven minutes. The appetizers were fantastic and the dinner excellent!
We were planning on desert but realized we were pressed for time for an event beginning shortly. Our waitress quickly boxed our food.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious food, attentive service .Emily was our server and she made our night! With great recommendations, attentive and positive attitude, and just NICE! It made dining out so relaxing and fun ... it was just what we needed. The food was awesome - the calamari and Kobe beef tacos - yum. The sushi was top notch and I was too full to enjoy a dessert ... We'll be back for sure though! Anyway, thanks for a great Friday evening!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMService good, Ordered oneService good, Ordered one of their signature martinis but couldn't get it as the bar was out of one of the ingredients - on a Sat night!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMHappy Happy HappyDinner was fantastic, food with special requests were no problem and service was superb. A definite for a return visit!!
We had a group of 8 and it was a great experience for all - from the greeting at the hostess stand, the predinner drinks at the bar, great service and nicely prepared dinner - with several special "off the menu" requests , and a great atmosphere .... all made for a special dining experience!
A classic eaxample of doing what the customer expects and makeing them happy!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWelcome to the banksCrave was an amazing experience. The food was outstanding,I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. The service was great and everyone was so friendly. My friends and can't wait to go back.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMPricey but worth itThe calamari was excellent, fresh and light with a wonderful sauce. The side salads were good but nothing special. The sea bass was fantastic, expensive but worth every penny. It melted in my mouth. I've only had it taste this good once before (at Germano's) The ribeye was good but didn't appear to have any seasoning at all. It was a wonderful cut of meat but could have used a little enhancement. Oddly there weren't salt or pepper shakers on any of the tables and we would have liked them for the salad and steak. We were't offered fresh ground pepper on our salad either. The creme brulee was excellent but at that point I was stuffed.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious!Crave met and exceeded my expectations! Will definitely do my best to get back there!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat menu options that includedGreat menu options that included superior seafood. We had a group of 9 for a family birthday dinner including our 2 year old graddaughter. They have a good childrens menu. Everyone was very happy with the food, service and atmosphere. They brought a pice of cake, ice cream and candle for my son's birthday celebration. Highly recommend.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMnice atmosphere, great appetizersI went for happy hour. Very nice selection of appetizers, half-price, and great drink selection.
Probably this is a very crazy, hectic place to be when the Reds are in town but not crowded on
the weeknight I was there so it was easy to carry on a conversation.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good!Edamame Cream Cheese Wontons = amazing!
Baked Crab & Artichoke dip = Good, but we thought it would have been better with a cheese blend. Possibly Gouda or something? Still very tasty.
Crab Crusted Filet Mignon = Roasted broccoli would be perfect with this dish, the carrots were just a bit off. Still delicious though. The steak was extremely flavorful - my only slight complaint was that we asked for medium-well (slight pink) and the steaks came out well-done. We didn't complain because they made a flavorful, rich, tasty filet. The service was amazing, I assume he just misheard.
I also come here for lunch and the half chicken, apple & Brie sandwich / Crave salad combination is my favorite.
I look forward to coming back!5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a great waiter...can'tHad a great waiter...can't exactly remember his name something like Julbar. Our first experience there was quite good and we will surely return again. Carave is a first class restaurant and bar.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Happy Hour in CincinnatiIf you are looking for a great place to kick back after a long day at work, CRAVE is the place. They have a nice beer selection and some unique mixed drinks - and great Happy Hour prices. Even better, their 1/2 price HH appetizer menu is fantasitic! The flatbreads and tacos are my favorites, and at those prices, you can order one of everything to sample and share. You can pay a lot more for worse food, drinks and service just around the corner, but why would you do that??4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMRave for CraveOnly my second time to visit Crave and both experiences have been outstanding! The food and service are excellent and I love the atmosphere. Wen you go, you must try the edamame/cream cheese wonton appetizer! Yum!!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was great, ourThe service was great, our server anticipated everything and helped half of our group find just the right meal. We all really enjoyed the food and the experience overall!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMthe only problem is that ifthe only problem is that if there is a ball game parking is very expensive - if no ball game I am sure it is normal downtown parking prices. When I go back, and I will go back, I will just check to make sure there is not a ball game that day or night.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time there. Both ofFirst time there. Both of us enjoyed our meal and will definitely return. Good food, great service. Manager personally introduced himself and genuinely cared about the restaurant, service, food, and our experience. This makes a good restaurant even better.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMI had no idea what to expectI had no idea what to expect from Crave, and now I know it's my one of my favorite restaurants. The server gave recommendations that included more details than the average description of "it's good." We ended up ordering two of his recommendations and loved them both.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMLamb Burger was outstandingLamb Burger was outstanding along with the finger looking sirrahi aioli sauce!! Wondering why we were not charged Happy Hour prices when we were there during Happy Hour hours, though? We had appetizers that are on the Happy Hour menu.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThe server Karen was greatThe server Karen was great and the manager was on point with every situation that was surrounded by us. The adult beverages that I tired were fantastic except for the margarita. I tired sushi for the first time and absolutely loved it. Our overall experience was perfect: the service, the drinks, the food and the atmosphere. I will definelty be back and I've already recommended this resturant to several of my friends and family.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMSeated on time. Great cocktailSeated on time. Took my family, and we all enjoyed it. There was a great selection of scones, muffins and pastries. The salads were delicious with a lovely fruit salad and caesar salad. The lox and cooked salmon were delicious too along with other hot items like green beans and carrots, chicken enchiladas and carved roast beef. The complimentary mimosa also was delicious and the manager stopped by to thank us and to ensure we were enjoying our meal. My new favorite brunch restaurant!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Service and good foodSushi was grood. Service was awesome! I am excited to go back there for a regular lunch or dinner service.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Sunday brunch buffet forThe Sunday brunch buffet for Easter was pricey for the food that was served. Coffee, teas, & soft drinks should be included and they weren't.
Regular menu prices didn't look as high. 5 of us $160 with just buffet.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMBEST SERVICE EVER!My finacee and I have been to a many restaurants around Cincinnati and especially a lot of new the "hot spots" that have been poking up around town. I must say this was hands down the BEST service I have ever had at a restaurant. We went on a Friday night when every table was full, but we never felt rushed or forgotten. Our waiter was attentive, knowledgable, and extremely nice. On top of that, the food was delicious. My finacee had the rib eye and admitted to it being better than the Precinct! We 100% will be going back, this time to try their Sushi selection.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat appetizers and amazingGreat appetizers and amazing drinks. Perfect spot for a date over cocktails.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMTop Restaurant at "the Banks"Surprisingly good good food and sophisticated ambiance right across the street from the Reds baseball stadium. The restaurant is quite large, but the noise level at 6:30 on a Friday night was relatively subdued by modern standards. All the staff was very attentive, and service was adequately quick; I had a quick conversation with the manager about the temperature (too warm) which he quickly remedied. I had the crab-crusted filet with lobster sauce, which sounds terribly rich, but was actually very restrained and melt-in-your-mouth good (circa $35, as I recall; no bargain, but less than most leading steakhouses). At the waiter's suggestion, I had the "Petite-Petite" Syrah blend, which went with everything. I will certainly return.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMOur appetizer and entreesOur appetizer and entrees were delicious! However, we got the S'more Brownie for dessert, expexting a gooey choc/marshmallow treat but it definitely was NOT as expected. The brownie was dry and hard as a rock and just crumbled under our fork. Supposedly it is a "different" kind of brownie according to the staff, which is fine if that is the case, but just be warned before ordering.
We will definitely eat at Crave again, but just won't be ordering another S'more Brownie.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had the Sunday brunch andWe had the Sunday brunch and it was very good.
