Craftsteak - MGM Grand Hotel & Casino - MGM ResortsNice placeGood food and service. Decent and reasonable price list. Very large servings.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMUnforgettable Dining ExperienceThe food and service were fantastic. Expensive, but so worth it!5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMfood was delishExpensive but delicious! Not an every nite destination, but wow, great for a special occasion.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth the extra cashThe food was outstanding - we decided to have the Domestic Wagyu Surf & Turf for 4 - which quite frankly was enough food for 6-8 people. The lobster was some of the best I have ever had. I really enjoyed the wagyu strip steak which was extremely tender and very well seasoned. I really enjoyed the risotto and some of the sides as well. I am not a big mushroom eater, but they were prepared well.
I found the restaurant to be quite loud (but we went right before the Rolling Stones!) but our booth was set back so we could hear each other fine. The wait staff was very good - I had a few times where I was looking around for someone to top off my water but they had a couple big parties. Other than that (minor) issue, they were very good.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding as alwaysSecond time dining at Craft in Vegas and it never disappoints!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMVery NiceBrought clients here for a special dinner and was not disappointed. The food was excellent and the service was just as good. Highly recommend.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat foodThis was the first time we have tried craft steak and we will be back.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellentService was top notch, food was excellent, wine was superb. Pricey but what the heck.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMAttentiveService was great. The waiters were very attentive, but in a helpful not in your face way. Your water glass was watched like a hawk, without you knowing, never fell below half full. We had the domestic wagyu for two, filet and ribeye. The chef or staff chose the apps and sides, they did tell us what they chose for our approval. Everything was excellent. Served family style. The steaks were sliced in nice sized pieces, they obviously let them sit for a moment before slicing because they kept their moisture. Everything cooked to perfection. Loved it. Will return.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent!Highly recommend, great food, amazing wine, superb service!!5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Steak and WineWe go here every time we're in Vegas. The Steaks are absoulutely great and the service is top notch. Wine choices are also outstanding and they will help you chose what you are looking for.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMbday dinnerWe had an excellent experience from start to finish. The food was cooked perfectly, and the service was impeccable. I was celebrating a birthday, and the staff surprised me with a special dessert, complete with candle and a chocolate "Happy Birthday." It was the best meal we had during our trip in Las Vegas.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food - Great timeOn my recent visit to Las Vegas, my daughter and I met at the MGM for dinner at Craftsteak. The restaurant is beautibuf, the food was perfect and the service was wonderful. We had dinner early on a Friday night. The restaurant was busy, but the service was running like clock work. The waiter explained our food options and was very helpful with the wine selections. I will definately have this restaurant on my must go there list every time I visit Vegas in the future.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat SteaksWhen we go to Vegas we always eat at Craftsteak. The service is always wonderful and their food is always consistently good. I had the halibut, that was a very large portion and quite yummy. One person got the chicken, which was very moist and wonderfully seasoned. And of course the ribeye was wonderful. They always have wonderful family style sides to order. I definitely recommend ordering the risotto. Super yummy!!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMBucket listI love all the food network shows and I think Tom Colliciio is awesome and I wanted to go to his restaurant
Got to try a lot of things that I otherwise have never tried it is something I will never forget
Our waiter was awesome very helpful , thank you for a wonderful experience4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMHeard a great deal about thisHeard a great deal about this place from fiends. Unfortunately your fist experience is whith the hostesses who are o. Some type of a power trip. We showed up two minutes earlier and we were told they are not ready for us. If we would like we can have a seat at the bar well before we could even look to order a drink they are comming pulling us away from the bar. Really two minutes was enough to put your guest in an uncomfortable position ping ponging around. Needless to say that started the night of wrong however the greAt service and the outstanding food made up for the ignorance of the initial meet. Yes I may go back but will alert the manager that I am comming and bypass the non helpful hostesses4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful experience. LookingWonderful experience. Looking forward to our next visit.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMBest steak ever!!! CookedBest steak ever!!! Cooked and seasoned perfectly. Everything we had was great.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst class preparation onFirst class preparation on all dishes with first class service in a hip modern setting.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMNice restaurant but quiteNice restaurant but quite high priced. While the food was great, the cost outweighed the food unless with clients.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMCraftsteak was the highlightCraftsteak was the highlight of our trip to Vegas. You wouldn't expect such a great restaurant just steps from a food court, but don't let that stop you. We went on a Thursday night with a reservation, which is strongly recommended as many people were turned away at the door without a reservation.
All of the food was amazing... we went just as a couple and ordered too much food as we wanted to try so many things on the menu. Recommend taking a few more people so you can try many sides and not have too much food on the table!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good, but not perfectFood was good, and not as pricey as I expected. We were waited on by about 4 different people who always wanted to be sure we had everything we needed, so that was nice. Slightly disappointed in the 10 oz. Filet. It was talked up to me and really wasn't anything special. It was tender and cooked to order, but just didn't have that zing I was expecting. They talk up their Wagyu meats, but I didn't want to pay an extra $20+ something for just that. Ruth Chris Filet is better in my experiences. My wife had the salmon and it was very good. The sides, starter, and dessert were all very good. The bread rolls are very tasty as well! Overall, a good experience and was pleasantly surprised with the check, but 4 stars b/c of the Filet.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AM1st anniversary dinnerSteaks were excellent! Wine, appetizers , desserts were all fantastic. Service was great! Atmosphere comfortable and romantic!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMNot your ordinary steak place. Not your ordinary steak place. Try the Wagyu, you won't be disappointed!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMIt's the small details thatIt's the small details that can make or break a dining experience, and in this case, the experience was made to be memorable. The hostess chatting with us on the walk to the table, the well scripted explanation of the menu from our head waitress. Then there was the ability to have dinner your way. We chose the three course dinner and were happy to pick our own cuts and sides.Everything was above par and the skirt steak and potato puree were stand outs!!!
The execution of the meal and the timing were perfect. The wait staff were attentive without being intrusive.
My favorite detail was the Blues music playing in the background. It completely set the ambiance, inviting me to relax and enjoy the experience.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMBest meal in Vegas!I've been to Craftsteak about 10 times. The food is always exceptional and so is the service, especially when Kevin is my server. I always ask for him now. Of course it is expensive, but it's a fine dining restaurant in a strip hotel, using only the finest ingredients, so of course it is. It is always my one splurge meal when I'm in Vegas.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous dining experienceGreat atmosphere, attentive service and fantastic food. The Wagyu is unbelievable. Highly recommended if you plan to visit Las Vegas.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and service was impeccableThe food and service was impeccable! We will be back the next time we are in town!4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMAt our table we had the preAt our table we had the pre fixed surf and turf. The Wagu beef was excellent and cooked perfectly. The "turf" part of the meal was lobster which was nice surprise. The homemade desserts were tasty. Order the monkey bread you will not be disappointed! If you like cheesecake you have to try the passion fruit cheesecake. I am not a huge cheesecake fan but it was so light and had a nice citrus tang! Put Craftsteak on your list of must do restaurants when in Las Vegas.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMOur new favorite steakhouse. Our new favorite steakhouse. None of the others come close. Order the set menu - so much better than our alacarte experience at Craft in NYC. Great location to eat before a concert at the MGM Arena. Only problem for us was it was super expensive.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent dining experience.Excellent dining experience. Top-notch staff that is very attentive but not over-bearing. Food was outstanding. Everything was cooked perfectly and so delicious!4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMNot my favorite.A little disappointed in the food for $500. Plenty of other spots in Vegas have better food for the money. The lobster was not good. Ordered the chefs tasting option and just left a little disappointed. Amazing service.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMSo incredibly good! T-boneSo incredibly good! T-bone steak that falls off the bone... inventive and delicious side dishes. Hundreds of restaurants to choose from on the Strip, but we will definitely be back!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was spectacular! WeFood was spectacular! We went with the chefs selection and that is defintely the way to go! We got 4 appetizers, 2 meats, 3 sides and 4 desserts if you count the little fruit plate. the fun part was not knowing what those selections would be. My only complaint was our waiter she did not really do anything our assistant waiter basically took card of us. We wish that they would have pointed the chefs selection out first we probably would have gone with the wine pairing had we noticed it right away but my husband already had a beer and I had an amazing key line martini so wine wouldn't be good after they. Would defintely go back!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were celebrating our 50thWe were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary by attending the Academy of Country Music Awards and were very happy to see that Craftsteak was located in the MGM. There was no question where our celebration dinner would be.
This was one of our best dining experiences. From entering the restaurant to our departure, everything and everyone was fantastic. The friendly and professional staff made our celebration so much fun and enjoyable. The food was incredible and the monkey bread was delicious which came highly recommended by your servers. We also loved the dessert the Chef provided for our celebration. That was so nice. Thank you for such a wonderful evening. Wherever we travel now, we will be looking for Craftsteak.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMnot impressed with the steak.not impressed with the steak. the lobster bisque and scallops however were fantastic.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMVery expensive..but the foodVery expensive..but the food was almost worth the price.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our second visitThis was our second visit to Craftsteak and it seems to just keep getting better! How do they make the crust on those steaks? And, the potato puree is to die for! The service is great. I love this place because the food is amazing, but it's not stuffy. We will definitely return.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic meal from the greetingFantastic meal from the greeting to dessert. Service was very attentive without being over the top. The food was perfection!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service and food was fantastic. The service and food was fantastic. As challenging as it may be, do not fill up on the amazing rolls. I think we could have had a dinner of rolls and been happy. The portions are a bit larger than necessary. We felt awful wasting all that food. We were told that food waste is sent to local hog farms which hopefully offsets what gets tossed. Our servers were attentive, friendly and informative. I think since we had a group of 6 we were seated in what felt like a banquet room and a little less formal and warm as the main dining room. This was our second visit and the food still was great. If you like meat, Craftsteak won't disappoint.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMHave stayed at MGM many timesHave stayed at MGM many times but never tried Craftsteak, I am glad we finally did. My husband and I had the course dinner. We decided to do the wine pairing that went with it. Server was good but not fantastic as we ordered our food, we were sorry we did not get to have the original Server that welcomed us. We were very happy with our selection of dishes but there was so much food,we enjoyed the soup, 3 salads, main dishes, 3 sides and 4 desserts very much. All were very tasty. The wine pairing we were not as crazy about. We finally said something about the Chianti that came with the main course and the Server and manager were very pleasant about giving us an excellent cabernet sauvignon to change out to. Will definitely come again.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was the best dining experienceThis was the best dining experience I ever had. The food and the service was amazing!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Meall maybe theExcellent Meall maybe the best I ever had. Service was impeccable. There was a party going on in a room near where were sitting. I made comment to the waiter and the door was immediately closed. The manager came right over and apologized and asked us if we wnted to move tables. The steak was fantasic as were the appetizers and side dishes. The desert trio was unbelievable. Truly a wonderful experience3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMAll dishes are family style. All dishes are family style. Get the tasting menu. Steaks are super tende. Large portions, even the side dishes. . Service was great. They treat u like a VIP here. I'll be back for sure. This will be my second time dinning here.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing! This establishment was delectable! Best meal I have ever had. The staff treated us like we were the only people in the restaurant. The well done steak melted in the mouth. And the desserts were phenomenal. If you are in Vegas and can afford it, Craftsteak should be required eating.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMAnniversary dinnerMy wife and I had dinner at Craftsteak, and since we had no way of taking anything home (to AZ)we split all of our courses: Caesar salad, filet mignon, fingerling potatoes, and cinnamon monkey bread.
All were magnificent. My wife loved the pre-dinner bread that was served, especially the dusting of sea salt on top. The Caesar salad was one of the very best I have ever had—I particularly liked that there were real anchovies on it—that is rare these days. The steak was fantastic; I especially loved the onion flavoring in the pan. The potatoes were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The monkey bread was out of this world. It had just the right right consistency and texture, and was wonderfully sweet and tasty.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMThe meal we had a CraftsteakThe meal we had a Craftsteak was, without a doubt, our best restaurant meal ever. We had the Chef's tasting menu and it did not disappoint! Every offering was delicious and expertly prepared. The service was fantastic - attentive but not hovering. The staff went above and beyond to make our evening perfect. Our next trip to Vegas will definitely include another trip to Craftsteak.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMLove Craftsteak! It is great! The ambiance is just right...has a high end "steak house" feel but not so much that women can't be comfortable. Each table has multiple servers so everything is taken care of promptly...quietly...individualized. They make you feel that you are the only guests they have to take care of. The food...well...it's ALL good. This is our second visit to Craftsteak in the MGM Las Vegas and have greatly enjoyed both evenings. It's a large restaurant but one doesn't feel it or hear it...we have sat kind of in the middle of both sections and had no trouble talking with each other and enjoying the meal. Nor did we feel on display. The "sides" are quite generous so choose well and share. Just pace yourself, so you can enjoy ALL of it.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMNot as intimate as the hallmarkNot as intimate as the hallmark NYC location but still a solid experience with incredible, high touch and informative service. Another solid Colicchio restaurant experience.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMTom's not just talk on the TVThe ambiance is understated (for Vegas, at any rate) and cool, with dim lighting except for direct lighting over the tables from high above. It has a mix of tables and booths, and a couple of private dining rooms, by the looks of it. Had an old fashioned that came in a martini glass (!) but we quickly rectified that heresy. The food was really very solid and portions on the huge side (tip: everything can be split by at least 2 people, possible three depending on appetite). There were four of us and we ordered 4 salads, 2 mains (both beef), and 3 veggie sides; it was more than we could handle. Standouts included the roasted beets and the warm frisee salad. But the ribeye (bone in) was probably the star of the night. Just fantastic.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AM
