Craftbarexcellent foodThe meal was excellent. Craftbar has by far the best beet salad I've ever had. My friend had the meatball sandwich and the meatballs are outstanding at Craftbar. For appetizers, we had rice balls which were airy and light and fried artichokes which had a surprisingly complex mix of flavors. All in all, an excellent meal.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently excellentService, food, and ambience are always first rate. Very New York....hip, trendy, fun yet professional atmosphere that attracts all sorts

When I made the reservation, I put that in the comment box. Wow, we were treated like royalty. The service was impeccable. We were greeted with a "Happy Anniversary" and sat in a cozy romantic corner. We received a personalized menu with "Happy Anniversary A.. + B.." at the top and 2 flutes of champagne on the house. The food was really good (as expected) but it really was the extra attention that made us feel extra special. A wonderful place to eat great food and celebrate a special moment!4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a visit when in NYI like the Bar as much as the Restaurant, so always visit when in NY, reason is the good food combined with a good wine and with service always on top :D see you next year!

Both our servers were wonderful- helped us order wine for the table as well as appetizers. Craftbar happily tweaked menu items for dietary restrictions. Definitely a return trip.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat as always!Craftbar remains one of our neighborhood go-to restaurants. The staff is a such friendly bunch of food lovers, they're knowledge and service is infectious. And the food is always spot on. Even the kale salad I had was delicious (which is not always easy to do with kale). Appetizers, meat and fish entres were all excellent. And the wines by the glass are almost as extensive as by the bottle and always first rate.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMWill Definitely Go Back!Visiting NYC and selected this restaurant based on reviews from the web and we are so glad that it ended up being a great choice. The decor is very simple, modern & attractive and I liked the bustling atmosphere. Service was very pleasant, we were seated right on time and the waitress was attentive throughout the meal. I had the roasted and braised Colorado lamb as the entree and it was cooked perfectly and just absolutely delicious. We would definitely eat here again!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMUnique food awkward serviceGood food but service was so so. Staff seemed uncomfortable and interested in taking orders and leaving ASAP...which made it uncomfortable at times. Food was unique and very very good. Just would expect better service for the price.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a great surprise - everythingWhat a great surprise - everything was delicious! Service was perfect. A little noisy when dining with parents, but aside from that, we had a great time. We didn't know the subway train we were going to take originally was going to be down for the weekend, so we were not going to make our reservation time. I called to let them know we would be late, and the staff member I spoke to was completely understanding and said not to worry if we came late-we would still be able to get a table. The service was excellent and the waiter we had never let my glass of water get empty! (Which is good after all that walking!) I ordered the salmon with squid ink and my friend ordered a bucket of mussels. The food was amazing. My friend got so many mussels for her meal that I had to help her finish!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMSpent one day in NYC and wantedSpent one day in NYC and wanted to make sure we ate at CraftBar so we made reservations for 1:30PM. Casual yet classy. The scrambles eggs and anchovies and the veal meatballs are ethereal!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat lunch destinationGreat, simple Italian/Nouveau cuisine. Nice, casual ambiance. Perfect stuff.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThe menu is a great combinationThe menu is a great combination of heartier and healthier dishes; small plates and larger dishes. The Kale sale with buttermilk dressing is really delicious, as is the baked Cod. A good energy level, but the noise is low enough to have a conversation.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways wonderful service,Always wonderful service, wonderful food. Really consistently a great experience. We usually go for lunch and the portions are large enough that when we go we often each get a small plate and one to share. Love the kale salad, the pate, duck hearts when they have them are a fave.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWe really enjoyed our experienceWe really enjoyed our experience at Craftbar. We originally had reserved a table for 8. At the last minute, 3 of our guests back out of the reservation at the last minute. The staff was more than accomodating. They let us spread out the chairs and did not make us switch to a smaller table.
The food was outstanding. The duck was particularly tender and juicy and all of the desserts that we tried (sticky toffee, ice cream sundae and ricotta cheese cake) were out of this world.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMLives up to reputation! The saffron risotto with mussels was to die for! I would definitely go back!3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe most generous menu ofThe most generous menu of any of the many restuarant week venues that we visited.
